Hotel Bemelmans-Post ★★★★
"A wonderful hotel being run by the same family since 1968. We have stayed with them 5 times since 2014. All the staff pays attention to details. You will be happy here! Located in the Renon region above Bolzano, the scenery is good in any direction. We hope to go back there in 2025."
Haus Rottensteiner ★★
"Lovely spot excellent staff"
Adler Lodge Ritten ★★★★★
"Just returned from a 4-night stay at this lodge. It was overall pleasant with a few things amiss. First the good: - The view from the lodge is absolutely gorgeous, a perfectly serene place to relax and we were blissfully happy sitting on the deck (we booked a jr chalet) doing nothing and just letting our eyes drink the view in. - The food is so wonderful!! I was especially impressed by dinner, each night they had a different 4-course menu (always with two options for each course except the dessert), as well as a couple fixed menus, and we could order from whichever menu and mix/match as we wished (and everything was included in the stay). The dishes were all creative and delicious and we almost always tried to order one of everything, this was definitely a highlight of my stay and something I looked forward to each night. The servers were always attentive to our needs and good with remembering our preferences, which is an added plus. Now the things I wished were different in our trip: - There's no AC. At our request the staff brought a fan to our room which helped a little, but still, the room was quite hot and stuffy for the days we were there at noon and during the afternoon (high temperature were in the 30C's/80-90s F). Perhaps it's because the heatwave has made recent days an anomaly? - Laundry service was broken for the first few days we were there, which was an inconvenience. - On our checkout day I unfortunately woke up with a lower fever, we called the front desk asking if there might be any Tylenol/medication for fever, 20min later someone came to my room saying they'd send something in half an hour, but until we checked out (which was like 2 hours later) no one came. This was disappointing especially compared to other hotels of similar star-level/pricing that I had experienced in the past."
Panoramahotel Unterinnerhof ★★★
"Disappointing Stay – Not Recommended Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the Panormahotel Unterinnerhof in Ritten, Oberplatten station. Our stay was disappointing in many ways: Even at breakfast, we noticed that the milk in our coffee was sour on three consecutive days – an absolute no-go. The drink prices were also completely exorbitant: We had to pay €9 for a 0.5 liter of beer, which was completely unjustified. The room was freezing cold, with the estimated maximum temperature being 16 degrees Celsius. There was no heating; after complaining, we were only provided with a small electric heater. We were offered a room where the heating would supposedly work better. However, since the effort was too great for us, we decided to stay in our original room. However, the next day, we discovered that repairmen were replacing the window in our room – without any prior notice. Afterwards, we were accused of having accepted the offer to change rooms, even though we were never told that construction work was planned in the room. The reception and management were also anything but friendly; complaints or comments were handled snippy and unprofessional. The bathroom appeared dingy and had obviously not been thoroughly cleaned. Old furniture, tools, and trash were lying around throughout the hotel, which only reinforced the overall old, musty, and unkempt impression. In summary: The hotel appears very run-down and untidy. You definitely don't get adequate service for the price charged. We will not be visiting the hotel again."
Hotel Lichtenstern ★★★
"In the Renon valley there are many hotels worthy of a stay, the Liechtenstein is advertised as one of the best. In fact the location is very beautiful, you can enjoy a beautiful view, the hotel was renovated a few years ago and the cuisine is good. It's a shame for the service which is not quite up to par. Given that for two nights, two of us, between stay and extras we paid around 600 euros (a bottle of natural water 0.75 - 5 €) when we arrived we requested, the same evening, two different pillows from those present in the room immediately, to silence the request, we were given two pillows that are usually used on sofas. After that, even though in the following two days we repeatedly requested at least one pillow we were never given it, every time they saw us the owners smiled and said Ah yes the pillows! but they never provided them to us. From a three-star plus hotel with the prices of a three-star plus I would expect better service and more attentive and polite attention to customer needs."
Hotel am Hang ★★★
"We are not usually making reviews, even if we have been visiting Trentino Adige for 10 years. However, this hotel really deserves a separate speech. And it is a reflection we make after we have been there for the fourth time. It is a small family-run jewel in a position to get away from breath. It is not the usual hotel, it is a " house ". Little, warm, really a heart-place. At least for us. A magical place. A place to listen to silence, to admire the wonders of nature, a place of peace and well-being. It is a small refuge for the mind. A refuge to escape from chaos, noise, frenesia. I think I can say that it is not a place for everyone. It is a place for the interpreters, for those who appreciate details, care for details, quality, and above all, the silence. The family that manages it with love is really delicious. Supreme kitchen. I hope heartfully that this family look so warm, intimate and special is kept carefully. Thank you for everything. Compliments! Elisa Joseph and Sveva"
Apipura Hotel Rinner ★★★
Chalet Grumer Suites&Spa ★★★★
"This is one of the most beautiful experiences we have ever had in 40 years of travel. The chalet is perfection, managed with care and excellence by Alexandra, the owner. This setting is unmatched. We cannot wait until we can return again. Time and again."
Hotel Weihrerhof ★★★★
"I arrived with my wife from a very sticky Verona by car, feeling fairly depleted, and rather like Hans Castorp arriving on The Magic Mountain. And sure enough we were welcomed with a drink by Klaus, the owner/proprietor, and I began to feel waves of wellness float over me immediately. The hotel is quite unique. It is family run and has a very personal, understated quality about it. The surroundings are incredibly beautiful. From the dining terrace one sits looking over the small lake to a vista of rather gothic mountains in the distance. The food is delicious, wholesome and excellent. Accompanied by a generous buffet for those who wish to supplement it. And, of course, the superb wines of Alto Adige. The staff are charming and efficient. The bedrooms spacious and comfortable. Plus one gets the Ritten Card - for free transport on trains and cable cars to all the many local resorts and attractions. At the end of our week I was refreshed, renovated and raring to go. What more can I say? We shall be back!"
