Best Western Sur ★★★
"Its a decent 3 star hotel in sur Could be better in customer service Breakfast was good The reservation manger was helpful The AC didn't cool intoally later on it was repaired Overall 3/ 5"
Wadina Resort Wadi Bani Khalid
"We loved this resort back in April when we went with friends and went again in June as a couple. The resort itself overlooks the Wadi and has stunning views. We opted to pay a little more and go with a room with a pool. The pool is chilled and great to relax in, especially in warmer weather. The rooms themselves are very clean, nicely decorated and spacious. We found the bed comfortable too. The bathroom has a hairdryer and a magnified mirror. Breakfast and dinner were generous portions of varied and delicious food. The staff were very professional, but incredibly nice. We have a four wheel drive, so drive up all the way ourselves, but the hotel will pick you up down the mountain in with comfortable four wheel drive. A new road is being built, so it will be easier once that is finished. You could hear the new road and some work being done at the Wadi during the day, along with an odd donkey, but this should be finished over the summer I hope. At night it was very quiet and we really loved it here."
Arabian Nights Resort & Spa ★★★★
"We had a wonderful experience during our visit in the month of December 2021, The resort is in meddle of the desert surrounded by sand dunes and the drive is like dune bashing and once you reach the resort the first thing will come in mind to have dip in a pool they have nice swing pool and then when it comes about villas its just awesome and cozy villas. The restaurant and Bar serves delicious food and drinks and i must say its place to visit again. the staff and property manager Mr. Ganga are very cooperative and supportive. Over all I would say its 10/10"
Sur Grand Hotel ★★★
"Traveling in a group for a tour... The hotel is far from the center and lacks charm. The room was quite large. The buffet meal was adequate, nothing special. The restaurant, which accommodated several groups, was poorly soundproofed and very noisy."
Desert Nights Resort ★★★★★
"We had booked a very spacious & comfortable villa with pool. The breakfast & dinner buffet was very good. There is also a Spa, & many activities eg camel riding, quad bike, dune bashing at extra charge. Overall a very well run resort, & a great base to explore the spectacular desert landscapes. Some minor negatives: the bedroom is a little dim, & could do with extra light for reading; and the bathroom plumbing can be better"
SAMA Al Areesh Desert Camp ★★
"The hotel is in a great location with a sunset view. Dinner and breakfast are generous, but not buffet-style. The rooms have all the essentials: water, soap, towels, and air conditioning."
Sama al Wasil Desert Camp ★★
"The rooms are small as is the bathroom, although acceptable taken in consideration that is in the desert. The shower has very weak power, but it is functional. The camp is nicely set up in the common areas and the dinner and breakfast are acceptable but nothing to write home about. We were not bothered by insects and the premises were clean."
Thousand Nights-Ash Sharqiyah Sands ★★★
"The location and the tents are absolutely phenomenal — the deluxe tent is definitely worth the extra cost. The surroundings of the camp are breathtaking, especially at sunset, whether you explore on foot or enjoy some dune bashing. The real desert feeling comes alive at night under the stunning starry sky, with peaceful silence and incredible stargazing sessions offered daily and free of charge. During the day, however, and especially at breakfast and dinner, you notice less of the desert’s remoteness. With quite a few guests and many children around, the atmosphere can feel more like a large hotel than a secluded desert retreat. Even in the desert, LTE coverage is now reliable and much better than the hotel Wi-Fi. If you want to experience the desert with all the comfort and convenience of a regular hotel — and you’re not looking for isolation or complete quiet — this is the perfect place for you."
Sama Al Wasil Desert Camp ★★
"Staffs were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Food prices were very good considering location is in the middle of nowhere . Camel ride was great and kid loved it."
