Hotels near Fondazione Ugo La Malfa, Rome

It was an extended weekend family trip, so this hotel was a good fit since it was not all that far away from some interesting things, and it was priced reasonably. The room was spacious, with a plain design making it a little ugly, but it was clean and well cared for. Our view was of the apartments in the opposite buildings, but we got our views elsewhere. The bathroom was OK even if the shower doors did not close properly. They cleaned the room daily and left fresh towels, even if we did not ask for. What was really bad was the soap/shampoo that they offered. Not that it smelled bad or anything but it reminded me of the soaps hotels had in the 80s The common are was almost always busy, but the people were respectful and friendly, and left the place clean. The wifi was fast, even when using VPN like I did. Breakfast was nice, with a lot of choices and interesting flavors. But the coffee was really bad. You do not expect that in Italy, but it was from an automatic machine that made different kind of coffees, so the result was bad. The people that worked there were always smiling, were friendly and eager to help, which is something that always helps when you are staying in a foreign country. The hotel is next to a police station and the immediate area felt safe, even at night. There are homeless people close by but they never bothered us. There is also a metro station within walking distance. All in all, we had a pleasant stay and it is a great choice for a brief family vacation

It can give very high marks for the convenience and accessibility of transportation. What is more impressive, however, is that the friendly smiles and hospitality of the staff were received smoothly. The cleanliness and facilities of the rooms are quite good, but the rooms are not spacious. There are several tourist attractions around the hotel. It is also easy to access major tourist destinations. However, the most impressive thing that this hotel gave me was the hospitality and smile at front desk. Even though it is a short time, it is not easy to make a good impression like this. This is the case when soft power made the hard power shine more. The hotel's management strategy is impressive in that smart power was exercised. From the guest's point of view, there was nothing special, but it is a hotel that you can definitely leave with a good impression.

The hotel is in a good location, 4 stars, at the first stop of the city sightseeing bus. The whole room is clean and tidy, the bathroom is quite large, but it is a bit noisy facing the street! The breakfast is also very good! The retro elevator is very cool! The service is also good, the front desk can store luggage, book sightseeing buses, and book taxis.

Really convenient location with only 3-min distance to Roma Termini giving you quick and easy transfer to the airport and elsewhere in Italy by train. Rooms have been renovated too. However, front desk staff was really rude. When I dropped my room keys in the transparent plastic box placed on the front desk for an express check-out and turned around leaving the hotel, staff shouted at me asking me to wait in line. The staff said I haven’t cleared my payment and tried to charge me full room rate plus city tax even though I have prepaid the room rate to Agoda in full. True that I haven’t paid city tax but they have swiped my credit card upon check-in or they could have asked me to pay upon check-in either. I suggested the hotel should have hided their express check out box if there is no such option available. The staff bluntly replied it is for guests who have cleared all the payment. It is really ironic who can enjoy express check out, if the hotel doesn’t charge city tax upfront nor charge it to credit card. Meanwhile, the room cleaning is so-so and forgot to refill shampoo/shower gel/fresh tower quite a few times during our stay. Also, the windows isn’t good at isolating street noise. I'm sure that each of us has his own scale of factors to evaluate whether a place is beautiful or ugly but that the added value is the people. In this clean, nice and very comfortable hotel, near the Roma Termini station, it is precisely the people who make a small hotel a point of reference for our trips to Rome. Paola from the reception was, and is, the person who followed us during the booking process and who went out of her way to help us project our photographs on a wall, in a small room set up just for us, a small group of photographers arrived in town for a two day photography course. Thanks Thanks Thanks dear Paola, you are invaluable for the hotel and for the people who stay with you.. an infinite thanks from all of us. Federica

Sono un'insegnante, siamo andati con un gruppo di 35 alunni ”vivacini” di terza media. Ci siamo trovati benissimo: posizione comoda zona Termini, locale rinnovato pulito e ordinato, colazione completa e abbondante, set di cortesia e asciugamani rinnovati giornalmente, servizio di vigilanza e di manutenzione sempre disponibile e tempestivo; prima di partire ci hanno addirittura gentilmente stampato le carte d'imbarco. Lo consiglio vivamente per esperienze di questo tipo.

Location is amazing, walking distance to Termini train Station. Metro and Busstop 200m. Very clean, good breakfast although Coffee was cold one morning. Has A/C and a small fridge, didnt use it though. Stated in a Single room w a Single bed, very comfy. Shower is very small so a 'bigger' person might have problems to get in the shower. WLAN works perfectly. Stuff is nice. Restaurants are close. Stated 3 nights it was perfect for a City Trip.

The hotel is located in a strategic location, just a few steps from the entrance of the metro, just next to a supermarket and a variety of bars and restaurants. The hotel is very friendly and professionally staffed. The room was very comfortable and was very comfortable. Prices in the standard considered location and services near the hotel. Recommended if for a short period (2/3 nights), otherwise even if you are alone like me, it is better to take a higher-class room, Because otherwise it tends to become a distressing single standard room.

Liked the location of the hotel in EUR Rome. The rooms are nice and clean, good TV channels including BBC and CNN. The experience was ruined by the 1 hour + noise from the trucks loading and unloading skips in the next door Euromax shopping centre. The banging noise is horrendous. Sara did offer to replace my room but as i had 1 more night i didn't bother. The breakfast area is very busy and chaotic, takes a long time to get coffee from the Barista's. The breakfast items are okay but nothing substantial, they are very supermarket affair. The corridors are boring and dull and definitely 3 stars. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Euromax shopping centre next door is an excellent diversion on a rainy day.

It was fantastic. We will surely book room again. The reception and all other staff was very friendly. It was quite peaceful at night.
