"We were very disappointed by the welcome. The Marmotte hotel looks like a family hotel but the customer is not welcomed, except to pay. In the restaurant, if the food was good, the waitresses are not courteous and the boss is downright unpleasant. The room certainly has a balcony but no view. The decor is cheap and the bathrooms are old. Service is cheap and not friendly. To avoid"

"Hotel Allalin was the perfect choice for our stay in Saas Fee. Ideally centrally located for the Hannnig gondola, shops and bus station. The hotel had such a relaxed atmosphere with its friendly staff, lovely rooms and spacious gardens with views looking straight across to the mountains. The food was also extremely good. Breakfast always had plenty of choice and the evening meals were both varied and so well presented. We also liked it that on some evenings the patriarch of what is a family run hotel would spend time walking round in the dining room talking individually to the guests about their experiences and also his own when up in the mountains. We would certainly recommend this hotel."

"Disclaimer: I didn’t actually stay here, yet. I wandered in while lost in Saas-Fee village, and lured by the smell. The manager did not just solve my problems, she made staying here in the future irresistible. Just look at the backyard view (or maybe your window view). The place is now officially on my to-do list. At CHF 140/night in mid-season, it’s pretty reasonable, by Swiss standards. Flagging this place to remind myself for next time."

"A short stay, a very good stay. We had two nights in La Gorge towards the end of the ski season and, without doubt, would return. Modern, recently renovated bedroom with clean, well-equipped bathroom. Friendly, helpful staff. Modern, warm ski room to keep the essential bits of kit. Breakfast was decent if unspectacular. The only drawback was the three flights of steps to our room - a killer at the end of the ski day."
