The Monterey Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

Booked a superior room, but immediately disappointed by the small bathroom with a non shutting door ! Complained and to be fair was moved straight away, but consider room was not superior. Brekfast was mediocre at best and staff were very cold. Staff in reception however were very friendly and helpful. Would not to choose a Best Western hotel again

Just stayed at Monterey Hotel. Very clean rooms and pool area. Breakfast plentiful with lots of choice. Evening meal was excellent (restaurant quality and value for money) both at this hotel and their sister hotel which was a short walk away. The outstanding part was the service by the staff, in particular Victor in the bar area, who was really helpful and made us feel valued by remembering us and recommending different gins - he is a real asset to the hotel 😄

Excellent hotel, food is 5 star and staff are wonderful, close to town of St. Helier and bus service right outside hotel 👍 Plenty to do in Jersey, indoor pool for cooler days, outside pool and sun bed area for warmer days., Bedroom was roomy with all amenities, to, fridge, hairdryer

Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious food. Spotlessly clean, well equipped bedroom and en-suite. Lovely indoor swimming pool with hot tub and steam room. Also outdoor pool with enclosed sunbathing area. Easy walking distance into St Helier centre and the sea front. Bus stop immediately outside, providing access to several different routes. Excellent throughout.

We were on holiday for 8days at the Monterey Hotel and found the whole stay, the accommodation, the superb food, facilities and in particular all of the staff most helpful and this in our opinion could not be bettered, an excellent choice by Palmer holidays, who chose and organised this holiday for us. We stayed at the Monterey Hotel for a long weekend in Jersey. The hotel is well located and next to a bus stop. The leisure facilities are great with a choice of outside or indoor pools. Whilst the hotel seemed to be more for the “older” traveller, from the majority of the residents we saw, the service was top notch, great food with a new menu every day and a great bar to get a drink from. The rooms are a little dated but for the price and location this is a definite recommend. St Helier is a 10 - 15 minute walk depending on which bit of town you are visiting

Stayed here for 6 nights with Ellen Smith Coach Tours. Check in was quick, easy and informative. Room was of a reasonable size on the first floor overlooking the outdoor pool. the bathroom was a little small and we found the WC very low it was like. a junior school toilet. Plenty of storage space, a good size TV, tea and coffee facilities. You had to book your evening meal time either in the morning at breakfast or you could do this for all week if you wished. Food in the restaurant was of good quality and always hot and well served: Breakfast was the usual, cereals, juices, yoghurts, fresh fruit, cold meats, croissants. toast. The hot plate consisted of bacon, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, scramled egg and hash browns you could order eggs to be cooked for you from the kitchen and there was smoked salmon, tea & coffees was brought to your table, only complaint was the menu didn't change (fried bread would have been a nice alternative to the hash browns). Evening Meal: There was a table d h'ote menu which changed each evening the choice was varied and the quality of the dishes were excellent all served at the table. Bar: Prices were reasonable for a hotel the only complaint was there isn't enough seating as if the restaurant is busy they use tables in the bar. Lounge: very small one with three small settees. One of the other rooms which are obviously used for functions should be converted into a larger lounge area. It's nice to have somewhere quiet to sit if you don't want to sit in the bar. Spa area is clean and pleasant to use, NB you will need a £1 coin for the lockers. The staff are excellent can't do enough for you and absolutely are what makes this hotel tick. Location: Its about a 15 minute walk through the park to the town centre, local buses are available outside the hotel. All in all we would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a great holiday, enjoyed the hotel facilities, we were really impressed with Jonathan in breakfast dining room really amazing service with a smile, what a lovely Gentleman, we walked miles in this stunning island ,beautiful scenery, very clean streets gorgeous plants and flowers everywhere, Thanks for a lovely time, we have been before and will return

Hotel is in a very good location. Food was fantastic, both breakfast and dinner. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Minor inconvenience was a lack of low to medium dumbbell weights in the gym. Would definitely stay there again.
