Very clean, very good attentive staff. Great location, pool area & beach access. Excellent meeting areas with decent food. Good inventory of amenities in the hotel “store” for back up supplies but very high prices.(They had it tho) Good bar, very good mixologist bartenders.

We really enjoyed the nostalgic feel, lovely service, and special touches--like a bowl of crisp apples and locally roasted coffee to greet us on arrival, gracious evening wine and cheese service, and ample continental breakfast including Porto's pastries. What a treat! The location steps from the beach, wharf and restaurants was perfect, and all the staff was kind, helpful and accommodating. Our suite was spacious and well-appointed--a good value for the area. Free parking was a nice perk, too. Will definitely be back.

Great location!!! There room was nice, quiet and clean. Perfect place to stay with your pet. The staff is friendly and they clean your room every day. Very walkable to the pier, state street and the funk zone. Prices are very affordable.

Stayed for 2 nights in Feb 2023, mostly for the location. It is an older hotel, but it very much exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were great - and we enjoyed the simple breakfast and wine/cheese evening snack. Location is excellent. The courtyard is beautiful Walls were a bit thin.

We have stayed here twice and had two different experiences. The king size suite was nice, comfortable, and convenient. The smaller queen room, while nice and convenient, was facing Bath Street, and impossible to cool (even in the Fall) with the windows open and fan running at full blast (these rooms get the full afternoon sun). Plus, with the windows open, you hear all of the foot and motor traffic. Would recommend not facing Bath St. and opting for a bigger room if available. The price is reasonable for the immediate area. Staff has always been great. The breakfast is continental, but there is an afternoon wine happy hour. Pros: - Great location - Pet friendly - Great staff Cons: - Avoid room facing Bath Street if the weather is mildly warm. The afternoon sun heats the room incredibly.

We had a two queen bed room. This room was big. The bathroom was average. It was nice that we had a microwave and refrigerator The breakfast was so so, but it worked for us. Dan at the front desk was awesome. He was so nice and when we came back from our day activities about 5 minutes pass the wine and cheese time, he made us a plate. It was so nice of him. He really is a charming gentlemen and a good asset for this hotel. The only thing that I did not like was that the parking spaces were so small for my suv. Other than that, I will be coming back to this hotel the next time I visit Santa Barbara

I have stayed in some nice places and the Casa Del Mar ranks up there. Beautiful hotel on the walkway very close the Santa Monica pier. Comfortable well appointed room with view. The lobby and hotel bar are really awesome. Walking distance to great restaurants too!

1. I had chosen to pay at the hotel when I booked on ***********, however I was charged before my arrival. 2. The booking had breakfast included. When I mentioned that I was eating gluten free, I received an email saying that there was no gluten-free options. They could have made an effort and arrange a small pastry / muffin, instead of providing a list of bars serving gluten free food in town. 3. Cleanliness is a big issue. See the picture of two floss picks who were in front of my room when I arrived and stayed there until the next day when I checked out.

We loved our stay in Santa Barbara, we haven't had a bad trip yet. CDMI, was comfortable, clean and in a great location close walk to the beach or State street. Dan who was working the front desk was awesome and went the extra mile to make sure we had a great stay. Thanks Dan!! We will be back.
