This hotel is very good in all aspects. It does a good job in terms of hygiene and service. I help carry luggage to the room.

Upon arrival at the airport, things just went downhill. My wife had booked a ride from Ocean Inn from the airport to their hotel prior to our arrival. Our ride never showed up even after my wife confirmed with the hotel staff. Called them and not one response after several calls. Great way to confirm everything and then leave your customers high and dry. We ended getting our own ride. Ocean Inn hotel is situated in a what I would consider a more or less slum area. I saw multiple locals finish their drinks and then tossed their trash over into the sea when there’s garbage cans just a few feet from them. There’s a lot of garbage sunken and floating in the water everywhere. Countless rats scurrying on the ground and roofs in broad daylight. The area reeks of sewage. When we checked in, the gal in the front didn’t like her job. No greetings. No smiles. No friendly service. Not sure if it’s a cultural thing that I’m misunderstanding. I felt like she didn’t want to help us. Never did. The entrance of the front desk had an overwhelming smell of mothball. In our room, my wife found strands of hair between the sheets and blanket. The room smelled mildewy. The restroom smelled like a heavily used public restroom. The shower pressure trickled. I just don’t know how some of these reviewers gave this place a 3-5 stars. Absolutely baffled!!! Overall, there’s little nice things to say about Ocean Inn except that the AC works well. I’ll let you readers run wild with your own imagination that I’m painting. I would never come back here again. Thank goodness it was just for one night stay.

Staying in Sempoorna town was a delightful experience, and this resort made our visit truly special. Sempoorna town is relatively small and apart from diving, hiking, island hopping there is not much things to do. If you're planning to spend more than 2-3 days in the area, I highly recommend considering this resort. Conveniently located just 10 minutes away from Sempoorna town by boat, the resort offers a tranquil escape. The staff and owner here are not only friendly but also incredibly cooperative, ensuring a warm welcome and a comfortable stay throughout. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully equipped, providing a luxurious experience. The surrounding beautiful sea is a highlight, adorned by starfish and other fishes. While the included food may not be the centerpiece of the experience, it is satisfactory, mainly featuring delicious Chinese cuisine. The staff and owner go the extra mile to share details about the resort, snorkeling gear, and any assistance you may need. During our stay, they arranged an unforgettable island-hopping tour, adding an extra layer of excitement to our visit.

Facilities: The room is well-equipped to meet the needs of traveling and living, especially the water pressure and hot water are very good. It is very important to take a comfortable bath after playing tired every day‼ ️ The whole environment is relatively clean and hotel-style However, the road to the hotel is very dark, and a few solar lights should be installed to illuminate the road There are some types of breakfast, but the Malay cuisine is difficult for people in Shunde, Guangdong to accept, but it is still clean and hygienic The long-haired lady who does the pier route in the lobby will answer any questions and speak Chinese. Whether you do business with her or not, she will explain patiently and carefully! It is worth praising There is a small night market downstairs There are also many restaurants and teas, as well as a relatively high-quality convenience store

The boss is from Shunde, Guangdong. The service is very warm and thoughtful. The house was built not long ago and the environment is very beautiful. It is far away from the main road and it will be very quiet at night! Free breakfast is also provided! There are also tourist resources to provide; there is also a round-trip shuttle bus to the port!

We had so much fun that when I returned home and wrote a review, I realized that I didn’t take any photos of the hotel 😂😂. 1️⃣: The room is tidy, there are staff on the first floor, the door is locked, and it feels safe 2️⃣: There is a washing machine and kitchen in the hall, and the living facilities in the room are complete, which is very convenient. 3️⃣: The boss lady and driver staff are very nice, which is an important reason why we enjoyed the whole trip. 4️⃣: There is breakfast, and there is a car to pick you up from the pier where you want to go, and to eat and visit places every day. You don’t have to worry about it being too late to take a taxi. This is really good. 5️⃣: If you come to Semporna, you must take the Pearl Island route, it’s so beautiful! !

It is far from the pier and you can hardly get a taxi, but the administrator will arrange a taxi. The hygiene is OK and I didn't see any ants. But the door is difficult to open, close and lock. You have to press the door very hard. The mushroom is a bit old. It would be better if you can explain and demonstrate the door opening and locking to future guests, or update the door lock to improve safety.

The detached wooden house we booked was actually very small. It was difficult to put luggage in the room. There was almost no room for toiletries in the bathroom. If you put toothpaste in it, you would worry that it would slide off the narrow shelf. There was only one room card. After I left, it ran out of power. When I came back, the room was so hot. It was also very humid. The breakfast was hard to describe. I had never had such a simple breakfast in a room that cost more than 800 yuan a night. The key point was that the local chargers in Malaysia could not be used. We could only use the Chinese ones. The boss said that the hotel only received Chinese people. If you need service, you must go to the restaurant to call for help. If there is no one, you have to wait. I asked the hotel to help book a two-day island hopping tour. On the first day, I stood at the gate (outdoors) and waited for 40-50 minutes. The pick-up car did not come. The boss drove us to the pier himself. When we came back in the evening, we had to communicate by phone to pick him up (the pick-up and drop-off were included in the itinerary of the one-day tour). The second day was much better. The waiting time was shorter and he came to pick me up when I came back. The appearance of the wooden house looked good, and the green environment was okay.

The villa is so good. The room is cozy. breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner are all great. The water is clean and clear, you can swim and snorkel around the villa, there will be a lifeguard standby. People is kind and helpful, you can sing Karaoke with them at night, you can also play Mahjong and snooker. One kindly reminder for those planning to dive in Semporna. Must contact the villa to arrange your diving section!!!This can save the transportation fee. If you book local tour from other agency like KKday, they might not pick you up from the villa and you have to pay extra fee for pick up. So just contact the villa and ask them to arrange. Lastly, everything is good but it will be perfect if the villa has a cat.😽
