Very friendly staff. Rooms had multiple dead bug smudges on the wall. The toilet had some pretty terrible sewage smell coming out of it during our stay.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Piccolo Hotel Casa Mia during our visit to Siracusa. Let me share my delightful experience with you! Location: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The hotel is strategically situated just some 300m back from the main island of Siracusa. There are an abundance of small cafes, restaurants within a short distance of the Hotel. Ambiance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Hotel has so much history, an interesting layout with the reception on the next level, once you know where your room is you get to know the hotel. Rooms: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The room was a good size, clean, neat tidy with all the normal amenity 👍👍 there was no safe in the room so we just carried all important items with us on our day trips. Verdict: For location, Value for Money and Service I would stay there again on the next visit to Siracusa.

Proprietari gentilissimi e disponibili.

Very, very NEGATIVE experience. We return to the hotel in the evening and we can't get into the room: the lock is blocked. The staff has already left, we try to call the emergency number they gave us, no answer; we insist for more than an hour, but nothing to do. We had to make do for the night, with our luggage locked in the room... The next morning we returned to the hotel asking to speak to a manager of the facility, but nothing could be done, he left the front desk with the task of reimbursing us for the night ( and I would have liked to see!..) and they dismissed us with a "sorry". And if a water pipe broke, there was an electrical blackout, would they leave the hotel, and its guests, to their fate until the next day?

As a budget choice hotel, the room was good, spacious, with a bathroom and wardrobe. The points were lost due to the bed. No mattress protector and the sheet came loose every turn in the night. Uncomfortable and unhygienic Very lumpy old pillows and a wooden blanket that smelt like it had not been washed for a while. Running out of toilet paper is another reason for low points. The wifi was very unreliable and just not working for 48 hours. Wifi is a basic requirement we feel.
