"The view from our room was insane, overlooking the lake. The room was a bit outdated but it served us well for our trip, though the bed was quite firm and springy.
The service was amazing, location was great for us as we had a car and the parking lot was a very short walk away.
The only downside is how overwhelming the buffet smells are but the selection is plentiful."
"This is a new hotel, and the facilities are brand new. Aside from not being right on the lake, everything else was fantastic. The private onsen in the room is open-plan, offering both privacy and a spacious feel. Soaking in the hot spring while it snowed heavily was an amazing experience; watching the snowflakes fall, time felt like it stood still. The hotel's design is very stylish, and the fireplace in the lobby creates a wonderful atmosphere. Sitting around it with a drink really set the mood. The pudding the hotel provided was delicious. The front desk service was excellent!"
"Terrific stay, made easier because of the English speaking staff. We went to the (almost local) ski resort while we were here, which is about 50 minutes away. No complaints about this place, and today, as we're leaving, it's a glorious day that would have been nice to explore the lake area (it was a bit blizzardy for the last 2 days). Back to sapparo now on a bus which takes a couple of hours. Sol is recommended. Here's the onsen password in case you forget (men)."
"This is the most satisfying house I have ever lived in Japan. No matter the size, facilities and environment are first class, there is a feeling of being in New Zealand.
Environment: About 2 kilometers from Toya Lake Commercial Street, a little distance walk, very quiet, surrounded by scattered residential rooms. It was a little scared outside the house in the middle of the night.
Service: Wanshi Pavilion takes the key, check out and put the key directly in the villa, check out at 10 o'clock is more troublesome
Facilities: The information shows that it has been open for 23 years, but the facilities inside are obviously not new. Some years, but the maintenance is very good. The things used are very advanced. The sink in the kitchen is particularly good. Microwave oven, oven, tea set tableware induction cooker have everything, especially the whole hot spring, dressing room, There are showers, it feels like a holiday house designed by rich people for themselves, and later sold to Wanshige.
Location: There is a convenience store 5 minutes walk. But if you are not driving, it is not recommended."
"The owner was a lovely elderly lady who enthusiastically showed me how to navigate the public transport system. We even got to see a glimpse of some fireworks. I would absolutely book here again on my next trip!"
