2-Star Hotels in Munich

The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, answering all my questions patiently despite my limited English – five-star service for that! The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk to both the subway and train stations. The room itself was quite spacious, with a desk and a fan over the bed. I was very satisfied with my stay overall!

I really liked this place; it's a huge hostel, I think around seven floors, though I can't quite recall the exact number. They have laundry facilities, a shared kitchen, and a common area where singers occasionally perform, which I found really charming and thoughtful! Each room has four people and shares a bathroom. I even got to meet one of the singers who performed there, which was hilarious!

Excellent location on a safe and quiet street, 1-min walk from the famous glamorous Maximilian Street in central Munich! Check-in can be at the lobby's device or online via email before you arrive. The room was big, it has a fan and a small balcony with window that you can opened so it helps though the room has no AC and it is summer but cool at night. Our room also has double bed plus 1 bunkbed. The room can be easily occupied for 4 guests if needed. The location is not too far from München HBF, we walked around 15 minutes to Flixbus stop near HBF and the area is safe. The hotel staff ladies in the reception area during our check out date were very kind and helpful. We also get help to store our luggage in the hotel even after checked out. The hotel has a nice lobby area where you can buy drinks or snacks from vending machine. Overall, it was a satisfying stay for us and we surely come back staying here next time. The location is near the subway, right at the last exit. If you're taking the train, it's a bit of a walk as it's on the other side, but still considered convenient. It's not scary for women walking alone at night, which is important. For the room, I booked a single room and it was very spacious and clean, with a wardrobe, table, and chair, plus a private bathroom. I think it was great value for money! There's an elevator, but it's quite small; one person with luggage fills it up. The front desk is 24 hours. Towels need to be rented, and there's a hairdryer. I liked it. The downside is that at night there's a very loud door-slamming sound. I'm not sure where it's coming from, it sounds like the wind blowing a door shut, and it happens many times a day. Other than that, everything was fine.

I stayed in this hotel for about four days. I found the neighbourhood had good resources in walking distance. It was easy to walk and get around from here. Convenient for the subway that was only a block and a half away, and the bus/tram that was about three blocks away. After hours, the security door restricts access. Just ask if you are planning to arrive late at night, it is not difficult to return. Bed, AC, electrical, and shower was fine, it was a challenge to find an electrical adapter nearby. The shanpoo/shower gel was nothing special. Staff was friendly and the breakfast looked popular, but I did not try it.

The hotel is a lot better from what we expected! We arrived couple hours earlier befofe the check-in time, intended to drop our luggages and check-in at 3pm. But the kind staff, he lets us to check-in earlier without forcing any charges🥹 The room is so different from pictures on the internet, in a good way! I think we got the renovated floor (5th) with brand new room design. We were absolutely satisfied with this hotel, as it meets 3-star hotel expectations. Though I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for famoly trips, it is mainly suitable for couples or friends or even individuals travelling on budget.

facilities: I was surprised there was a toilet/shower in the dorm room which is very convenient. Everything is clean and modern. There's a kitchen for use or you can also order from the bar (ground floor or rooftop) Location: walking distance to the train/metro station, there's also a tram stop right in front of the hostel. I get to Marienplatz from hostel within half hour. Could be improved : wifi is very weak in the room.

Okay, let's start with the positives. The location is really good. The Viktualienmarkt is practically around the corner, and the city center, English Garden, Eisbach – everything is within walking distance. The breakfast is good and can easily compete with larger hotels. Unfortunately, the coffee machine broke down on the first morning, so there was no coffee during my stay. The hotel has no elevator, not even for luggage. I wasn't aware of that. The staircase looked rundown. The room was clean, except for a dusty shelf in the closet, but it immediately made a bad impression because the curtain was half torn off. I found a blackout curtain in the closet. I then had to climb onto a chair to hang it up. I also fixed the other curtain right away. A blackout curtain was necessary as my room faced Reichenbachplatz. I also found a bedside lamp in the closet, but it was useless because there was no bulb. A shame, it would have been helpful since there was no light switch by the bed. The TV also didn't show a picture at first. Multiple channel scans with different configurations were needed. The walls are so thin that I got a fright on the first night, thinking someone was in my room talking. Someone also vomited, but that was two rooms down. The room next door was a kitchen or storage room. The bathroom was newly tiled. However, the drainpipes were just flexible hoses that weren't nicely connected. The towel racks probably dated back to the 60s. The sink wasn't straight on the wall, and the shower curtain was held up by a wire, a screw, and tape.
