Our Holiday Inn - the niu, Loco Munich North in Munich's Domagkpark district is inspired by the history of steam engines. The name is reminiscent of the former Hirschau ironworks near the English Garden, which produced locomotives more than 175 years ago. The elegant travel of that time picks up the design in pastel colors and elements such as gold-colored connecting rods, railroad wheels, or rails. The nearby English Garden is ideal for jogging, and the U6 subway takes you to the center in ten minutes from the "Studentenstadt" station. You can leave your car in the underground garage for a fee. In our Holiday Inn - the niu, Loco Munich North, the Living Lobby invites you to relax with comfortable seating, free high-speed WiFi and books. You can also work here in a relaxed co-working space. The reception desk is staffed around the clock. If you're feeling hungry, you can always turn to the 24-hour bar. We offer a rich breakfast buffet every morning for the perfect start to the day. In our 191 air-conditioned double rooms with soundproof windows that can be opened, you can expect the latest standards: 40-inch flat screen with satellite TV, invisible sound system, Chromecast, and screen mirroring. WiFi is included. On request, we also provide a complimentary water kettle and tea station for you. If you like it particularly quiet, we can reserve a room facing the inner courtyard for you. For children we'll gladly set up an extra bed or a crib.

"The room was clean and tidy, and the front desk staff were very friendly. However, the in-room amenities were basic, and breakfast was €19 per person. It's close to the subway, which is convenient for getting around, but there aren't many facilities in the immediate area around the hotel, just one McDonald's."

AAnonymous UserI stayed here for 3 nights and honestly, I’m very disappointed. Let’s start with the positives: the location is excellent. Right opposite the train and metro station, Lidl & Rewe supermarkets nearby, and just a straight 15‑minute walk into the old town. Super convenient. But unfortunately, that’s about it. Service was really flat — communication with reception was very standard, nothing warm or welcoming. The room itself was on the small side (clean, yes, but definitely not spacious). The real disappointment: water policy. The hotel only provides ONE small bottle of water per day per room. That’s for two people. On my first day, I asked reception for an extra bottle — they told me to go to the bar. Fine, I got one there. On the second day, since we skipped housekeeping, there was no water refill, so at night I went to the bar again to ask for another bottle. This time the staff told me I had to pay. I was completely shocked. A 4‑star hotel charging €200 per night… and they won’t even provide guests with a simple bottle of still water? I’ve stayed in so many hotels across Europe and this is the first time I’ve encountered something like this. Even more absurd, the hotel leaves free apples at reception and offers unlimited water at breakfast — but refuses to give guests a bottle of water to take to the room? Ridiculous. This policy really ruined what could have been a good stay. For a “collection” hotel brand, I expected much more in terms of service and hospitality. Sadly, I would not recommend this hotel.

MM239917****The room was nice, clean and tidy, the heating was very hot, the decoration was artistic, and the front desk service was enthusiastic. Because it was New Year's Eve, I could only book a room for one day and had to change hotels, which was a bit troublesome, but the hotel stored the luggage. There is no elevator in the annex building. I am on the second floor, next to the breakfast room, and light sleepers will be disturbed, but it can be avoided.

DDCRYBuilding is located around 400m from Siemenswerke station but the walk is not sheltered so need to take note of rain/snow. Room is spacious and comes with washing machine and cooking wares. Toilet does not have sufficient wet and dry separation so unable to on the showerhead fully without water flowing out to the dry area. I went during the holiday season so the service staff was unable to respond to my query on one of the days of the holiday period. Room price is considered reasonable to me given that I booked during the holiday season and it comes with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.

Jj_cdUpon arriving at the hotel in the morning, we dropped off our luggage and went out. We returned at the scheduled check-in time of 2 PM, only to find our room in complete disarray and not yet cleaned. After showing photos to the front desk, they immediately arranged for housekeeping. We had to wait for about an hour for the room to be ready. However, Tsira Patsuria at the front desk handled the situation exceptionally well. She offered us tea and pastries while we waited and apologized, explaining that it was Oktoberfest and there was a high volume of guests checking in. She also kindly waived the charges for the draft beer and the snacks in our room. The hotel is very close to the main train station, making it convenient for getting around. The suite was spacious, and the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of cheese and salmon, just what I like. I would definitely consider staying here again.

AAKADAI stayed here on New Year's Eve. I had heard that the New Year's fireworks in Munich never stopped, so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to sleep, but the room was very quiet and airtight, so I was able to sleep peacefully. It's a very unique and interesting hotel, but it was disappointing that the bed was expensive and difficult to use, and that there were no slippers or bathrobes. Other than that, I think it was good.

TTraveler 123Let's start with the spa - an oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation. From the moment I stepped into the tranquil haven of the Vier Jahreszeiten Spa, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of serenity and well-being. The spa facilities are impeccable, featuring a range of treatments and therapies that cater to every guest's needs. The expert therapists displayed a deep understanding of their craft, ensuring a customized and revitalizing experience. After indulging in one of their signature massages, I felt completely refreshed and invigorated. The spa's attention to detail and commitment to providing a sanctuary of calmness was truly impressive. As for the location, Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski is a true gem in the heart of Munich. Situated on the prestigious Maximilianstrasse, it offers an ideal home base for exploring the vibrant city. From the hotel, you can easily reach Munich's iconic attractions, designer boutiques, and renowned dining establishments. The convenience of being able to stroll through the historic city center or simply step outside to admire the beauty of Maximilianstrasse made my stay even more enjoyable. It's a testament to the hotel's commitment to offering guests the best of Munich right at their doorstep. The overall experience at Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski was nothing short of exceptional. The luxurious accommodations, attentive staff, and attention to detail throughout the property were all factors that contributed to a memorable stay. The blend of classic elegance and modern amenities created an inviting and sophisticated atmosphere, which I found to be both comfortable and inspiring. In conclusion, Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich is a top-tier hotel that truly understands the art of hospitality. The remarkable spa and the unbeatable location in the heart of Munich set it apart as a destination that caters to travelers seeking a perfect balance of relaxation and exploration. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience the best of Munich in a luxurious and welcoming setting.

\\O_O/Given the comments I read from other travellers, the hotel actually has far exceeded my expectation. First of all, there is a U-bahn station right next to the hotel, which takes you only 2 minutes to the central station. The room is spacious, clean and air-conditioned, which is rather rare among other hotels in Germany. It also comes with a large window, which makes the entire room bright and cosy. The front-desk service is 24 hours. The staff are all friendly and helpful.
