Outstanding
GGuest UserStaff were wonderful. They held my luggage as I was very early for check-in and communicated via a handheld translator. The room was very nice and spacious with an absolutely gorgeous view to the city and surrounding areas. The private hot spring tubby on the deck was also wonderful as you do get the scene to the city and providing a wonderful ambiance. The food provided was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Now the caveat is the hotel is on a hill and unless you have transportation like a rental car or taxi, getting up there is a hike and more so with luggage. The staff also provided me with a shuttle to Itō station and some snacks to my next location. Oh and the wonderful picture they took and framed for me was also so thoughtful

GGalpsWe only stayed one night, but it was an incredible experience - everything from the caring service to the traditional style of room to the thoughtful osen setup! All five star! The staff spoke limited English but it was very smooth and easy to use translation software. We chose to have breakfast there and it was delightful - so many little dishes and all served in our room and we even dressed up in traditional attire for it, provided by the ryokan. It’s very easy to get a taxi from Izu Kogen and it was easy for us to order an uber in the evening for dinner if you don’t want to go full out for what the ryokan provides - so it’s friendly enough if you aren’t driving. The individual osen pools were so chill - could have sat there for hours! High recommend this place if you want a piece of real Japanese culture!

GGuest UserIt was love from the first sight. Lovely and silent place that what you need after all the hustle and bustle of big cities. Hot springs are relaxing and food is delicious. Wish had more days there.

DDayanThe room is big and the bed is comfortable. The hot spring is also very good. There are not many people, which is basically equivalent to booking the whole place. The snacks are also delicious. You need to make a reservation for the private bath, one group per hour. It is easy to make an appointment now. I am not sure about the peak season. The only disadvantage is that it is a little far from the JR station. It seems that there are other places. I have the opportunity to stay there. The hot spring was taken when there was no one.

DDongguaxuanHow should I put this? I came to experience the Hoshino Resorts Kai brand, and overall, everything from the facilities and ambiance to the service and food justified the 5k price tag. However, for 5k, you could also book a hotel with a private onsen. This particular hotel is more suited for couples looking for a relaxing getaway. I wouldn't really recommend it for families with children, possibly due to privacy concerns. The hotel lobby itself was hard to find, and getting there would be quite a hassle without a car or private transfer. The meals also weren't very kid-friendly; my children didn't eat well for either breakfast or dinner.

JJasssssIn fact, the hotel is very good, the environment is very good, the room is very beautiful, the toilet is super big, and it is very comfortable to live. But the disadvantage is that the traffic is too inconvenient, unless you drive by yourself... and dinner needs to be booked one day in advance, otherwise there is nothing to eat nearby.

MM317143****It's very spacious, and although it's a bit old, it's very clean. The rooms are not only large but also fully equipped with everything, including an induction cooker, range hood, and kitchen utensils, though we didn't really need them. The public bathhouse was quite comfortable, and it had everything we needed. The receptionist speaks English, so we could communicate, and they were very friendly.
