Good Ol' Days Hotel

Outstanding

This hotel is truly artistic and cozy, reflecting the owner's taste and dedication. It was the most comfortable stay of our entire trip. The room was very spacious, with a separate workspace and plenty of beautiful stationery for journaling. I tried some of the materials, and they were all of excellent quality. Both owners speak a bit of Chinese, and when we encountered a minor issue, the owner handled it wonderfully. Even though breakfast isn't provided, they offer snacks, instant noodles, and two complimentary coffees. The owner also recommended some great breakfast spots nearby. The hotel's location is excellent, surrounded by many delicious eateries, and the commercial area is just a short walk away. If I had one minor suggestion, it would be that the room ventilation isn't the best, with only a small window, which can affect the air circulation slightly.

Overall, the room was convenient and well-equipped, and the cleanliness was good. The location was also super convenient. My only minor complaint is that the duvet felt a bit too thick. Check-in is officially at 3 PM. I was feeling unwell the day I arrived and asked the front desk if I could check in early, but was denied. I ended up paying for half a day to get in earlier. For check-out, they asked for 11 AM, and when I called to request a 30-minute extension, they readily agreed, which was a good point. It would have been an even better experience if the service had been a bit more flexible and accommodating.

Ideal location: the main street full of shops/cafes/restaurants that work from early mirning till late evening, close to the metro station, located nearly at the beach. Main tourist attractions are near: the beach itself (1 minute walk), food market (1 minute cross the street), Busan aquarium (5 min walk) etc. The room is big and clean, two beds were big too. The room was equipped with a fridge, a kettle and cups, tea and coffee bags, hairdryer, TV that had a movie channel in English. Free luggage storage service after check-out is also provided. We will definitely stay here again if we come to Busan once again.

The room has a family-sized fridge, a washing machine, a cooking counter, a sink, and a balcony. The upstairs sleeping area has a low ceiling, and the bathroom isn't very spacious. The hotel's side entrance is very close to Shinsegae Department Store and the subway, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. There are two housing centers in the same building, so be mindful of where you check in/out. Housekeeping isn't daily. The front desk staff were amazing; they helped us contact a driver to retrieve a power bank we left in the car. We're truly grateful!

Cleanliness is top-notch, and the bedding is especially comfortable! It's a bit of an awkward distance to the university area, but definitely walkable. The staff are friendly, and parking is very convenient.

The hotel's location is super convenient, close to everything. There's a convenience store right outside, and getting a taxi is easy. Plus, there's a bakery across the street perfect for breakfast. The beach is also directly opposite the hotel, and the monorail station is very close by.

Superb for the service! All the staff are accommodating and approachable. The location is great as there are nearby convenience stores and restaurants opened at night. It is also near the Haeundae Beach. The train station and bus station are really walkable which made exploring Busan easier. Our room is tidy and clean, and we had a comfortable stay.

Raviens Maison de Hotel

Review of Raviens Maison de Hotel 1. Location The hotel is situated along a back alley, which may make it slightly less visible for some Uber or taxi drivers on first approach. However, this is a minor inconvenience. The surrounding area is well-served, with two convenience stores, a McDonald’s, and the popular Busandang Bakery nearby, offering an impressive selection of baked goods and a pleasant café on the second floor. The hotel is also approximately a five-minute walk to the main Haeundae Beach shopping and dining street, which makes it a convenient base overall. 2. Front Desk & Service Front desk staff generally communicate in decent English, which is helpful for international guests. Upon arrival, we reached about an hour before the official check-in time of 4:00 PM (notably later than most hotels). Early check-in was offered at an additional charge of 18,000 KRW. While understandable, there is room for improvement here—particularly when rooms are already available, a more flexible approach would enhance the guest experience. A more significant concern was the housekeeping policy. For a five-day stay, only one room cleaning service was provided. This is quite disappointing and does not align with expectations of a hotel, especially given that rates remain at a premium during peak season. This aspect significantly detracts from the overall experience. 3. Room & Facilities We were assigned a room on the 21st floor. The room is spacious, resembling a studio apartment, and comes well-equipped with a kitchenette, washing machine with dryer, and a clothes steriliser (particularly useful for refreshing outerwear). The room includes both a queen-sized bed and a super single bed, along with heated flooring for added comfort. Tips: offer English translation card to show how to use the washer/ dryer would be useful. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the highlight is undoubtedly the view. The panoramic outlook over Haeundae Beach and the sea is excellent, complemented by a large balcony with seating—ideal for relaxation. However, another shortcoming is the lack of proper bath towels. Only small-sized towels were provided, which were also used as floor mats. This is below expected hotel standards and should be addressed. Overall Assessment The hotel offers strong positives in terms of room size, amenities, and especially the sea view. Its location is also convenient despite the slightly hidden entrance. However, the limited housekeeping service and absence of proper bath towels are notable drawbacks. Addressing these areas would significantly improve the overall guest experience.

the property was exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. The location is also excellent, making it very easy to get around. However, the sleep quality was disappointing. The beds were collapsing at the sides and felt quite worn out, which made for an uncomfortable night's rest. If the management replaces the mattresses, this would be a fantastic place to stay, but for now, it's hard to fully recommend for a long visit.

Hotel ADELA

8.4/10
Very Good

If you are looking for a stay with a view in Busan, Hotel Adela offers some fantastic visual perks, though it comes with a few logistical ”hurdles”—quite literally, if you end up taking the stairs! Here is a detailed breakdown of what to expect. The Room & Amenities The first thing you’ll notice is the generous room size. Unlike many cramped city hotels, there is plenty of space to move around. The View: The highlight of the stay is undoubtedly the stunning harbor view. Watching the bridge light up at night is a great way to wind down. Comfort: The beds are comfortable and provide a good night’s rest. Condition: While the room is clean, some of the furniture is starting to show its age and feels a bit dated. Facilities: Basic toiletries, drinking water, tea, and coffee are all provided. Note that the toilet and bathtub are in the same space (not separated). Climate Control: Be aware that during winter and early spring, the air conditioning is disabled. If the room gets too warm, you’ll need to crack the window to let the crisp Busan air in. The Elevator Challenge (The Biggest Downside) The most significant drawback is the elevator situation. The hotel only has three elevators, which is insufficient for a building of this size—especially since it is a popular choice for large tour groups from Taiwan, Thailand, and Hong Kong. Peak Hours: Between 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM, the elevators are perpetually packed. The Struggle: It can be so challenging to catch a lift that I actually had to walk down the stairs from the 15th floor to the lobby. If you have mobility issues or heavy luggage, this is a major factor to consider. Dining & Convenience On-site Eats: There is a Korean Fried Chicken restaurant on the 2nd floor that is definitely worth a try—the taste is quite good! Convenience: A CU convenience store is located right in the lobby, which is incredibly handy for late-night snacks or essentials. Breakfast Tip: I recommend skipping the hotel breakfast package. The restaurant is on the 24th floor, meaning you have to wait for the elevator to go up, and then wait again to get back down to the lobby to start your day. You’ll save money and time by eating at one of the many local spots nearby. Location & Accessibility The location is a strong point for shoppers and explorers: Metro: About a 7–8 minute walk to Nampo Station. Shopping: Very close to Lotte Shopping Mall and the famous Gwangbok-ro Shopping Street. Note: The building is shared with another hotel (North Harbor Hotel), which contributes to the high foot traffic in the lobby and elevators. Hotel Adela is a solid choice if you value a spacious room with a beautiful view and want to stay near the Nampo-dong action. However, the elevator delays are a serious test of patience. If you choose to stay here, try to avoid traveling in and out of the hotel during peak tour group hours! Pack your patience for the lobby wait, and definitely grab some fried chicken on the second floor!
