Great
GGuest UserThe Burasari is an absolutely exceptional hotel.
Location is superb.
We booked the mood room and it was one of the best rooms I'd stayed in all of Thailand.
Massive balcony, supremely comfortable bed, the bathroom was amazing with a massive spa bath.
We absolutely loved our stay here.
My only problem being that we were 2nd floor and almost every night, the tuktuks with insane stereos were blasting music from 6pm till 6am randomly as they drove past.
The room has double windows and doors facing the street but it still wsnt enough to stop the bass beats.
Also, one time we ordered room service, it took 2hrs to arrive which is completely unacceptable.
Other than that I cannot fault this place.
The pools are amazing and even the 2nd floor rooms have an outdoor day bed with mosquito nets overlooking the pool.
Just a lovely hotel.
Would definitely stay again!!

SsaiudnThe staff were really welcoming upon arrival, with a drink and fresh towel to cool down. I was given a twin room but the staff kindly put the beds together immediately. The mattress and pillows were so soft and I slept comfortably. One small faul is that there was no remote control for the AC, so I did have to get up in the middle of the night to adjust the settings.

GGuest UserLove the location of this hotel as it is situated off the main road, which tends to be rather noisy with many tourists from evening to night. You definitely can have a good night sleep in this hotel. The front desk staffs are very helpful and polite too. Even though it is located off the main road, it is still very convenient to move around. Just a 7 minutes walk from the left side of the hotel entrance will take you to the main road and a 2 minutes walk from the right side will bring you to a small night market where it is quieter, easier to find a seating place and not that hot. The weather during end March is very hot and humid during the day, at night it is better, not so hot but still humid. We love this place, will definitely consider staying here again if we are coming back to Kata/Karon area in Phuket.
A suggestion for the hotel management to consider, can you install a ceiling fan or wall fan at the balcony. We love sitting there in the morning for a cup of coffee and at night when we are back from dinner/supper with a nice cold drink or beer. This will definitely help to keep guests cool during the hot months in Phuket.

KKLorraineOverall, it was a very good stay. Orn was nice and accommodating and even helped move me to a higher floor the next day. Berna from the restaurant was also friendly and took the time to chat, which was really nice.
The room was refreshed while I was out during the day, which was great, but it would’ve been helpful to be informed beforehand since my personal belongings were left around.
Just a small note — the bathrobe wasn’t set up initially, and only two pillows were provided for a room meant for two guests, so I had to request extra pillows.

NNikitaThe pool and the breakfast are good. We also had a nice town view.
The room is controversial. We had to wait till exactly 14:00 to check in. We couldn't even check in at 13:58. The toilet is a joke. It has a big glass with a frosted part so you can see a silhouette of a person in the shower. The sliding door has a big gap so you can see a person sitting on a toilet through it. So there's no sound proof on the toilet and you can see and hear almost everything happening inside. I had to go to the first floor toilet to do my things. And water pipes are noisy and might start buzzing in the middle of the night. A few times we heard loud music somewhere in the hotel so we had to call the reception to solve the problem otherwise it was impossible to rest in the room. There also was dust somewhere in the room.
I'm not sure I'll stay there again.

PpeterThe facilities are unbelievably outdated, haha. I initially didn't believe the reviews about the worn-out decor, and now I'm just speechless. This room would go for 200-300 RMB domestically, but I paid 1400 RMB for one night. The hot water didn't work and needed repairs, the phone was out of order, and even the card reader for the door was rusted, so only I could get the door open. My elderly family members couldn't even manage it, it was ridiculous. When I told the front desk about the hot water, they said they'd sent someone, offering a very insincere 'sorry.' And the air conditioning noise at night was just… wow. The hotel's only selling point is the pool, but the water probably hadn't been changed in a while because my child had an allergic reaction. Maybe our kid is just delicate; other foreign children seemed to play in the water fine. The front desk staff were all very nice, always smiling, but completely helpless. Breakfast was okay, not great, not terrible, but definitely not worth the price. For fruit, they only had watermelon, cantaloupe, and dragon fruit – no other tropical fruits, not even a banana or pineapple. You had to make your own noodles, which… I understand prices are higher during peak season, but this experience was really bad. I originally booked based on the IHG brand reputation, but now I feel it's a huge letdown. My advice to everyone is to check the real-life guest photos, haha.
AALESTAThe hotel is nice, secluded: there’s nothing much around it, which can be a good or a bad thing.
I loved the private sandy beach, now it’s high season, and yet there were maximum 10 people at a time. So it feels all for yourself.
I got upgraded and stayed in a little house with private pool and exit to the beach. Thanks for that.
BUT there were 3 things I didn’t like:
1. noise, I don’t know, probably air conditioning or pool cleaning machine of A NEIGHBOR HOUSE, not even mine. In my room the AC and the fridge were also loud, but I turned them off. Yet I could not turn off the neighbor’s ones. At night it was hard to sleep because of that sound.
2. the pool cleaning — mine didn’t have that. The water there is still , was not changes next day, and I am not sure if was changed before I arrived 🤷♀️ In the neighbor pool I can see the water is always floats and changes, in mine not.
3. Every time I bought something and wanted to pay with my card, I had to go to reception. Every meal, every cocktail. That was disturbing. It was my last day of my holiday and I was short on cash. I thought it wouldn’t be a problem to pay by card, I could do it. But every time I had to climb 7 staircases to do it.
JJaniceTanMoved from Old Town to Patong. My experience in Old Town was superb, enjoyable and relaxing. As we were approaching Gig Hotel, my spirit took a deep plunge from excitement to anticlimax ! thought I had found a gem hotel after reading all the positive highly rated reviews. It was a total disaster and the start of my nightmares! The streets were lined with sleazy massage parlours and Muslim eateries. I thought I was in Middle East. It’s impossible to find authentic Thai cuisine in that vicinity, let alone any restaurant serving pork. Breakfast in hotel has no pork too. Receptionist gave wrong info of breakfast venue. Told us it’s at the rooftop but it’s actually on the first floor. Breakfast was always crowded and food not replenished after 10 am. 2 coffee machines but long line of queue as it takes forever to dispense a cup of coffee/drink. No informing prior to breakfast closure. Staff just started clearing everything abruptly. The chairs are another nuisance, so heavy that tends to hit the chair behind every time you get up. The whole tables and chairs setting was almost back-to-back, very tight and uncomfortable. The so called infinity pool was rather small and always packed as guests from Gu Hotel (located just opposite and under the same management) share hotel amenities. The gym was so pathetic with only a couple of equipment.
Next, the room was oddly designed and poorly furnished. There’s nothing luxury about the room. In fact, it felt cheap, poorly designed with much wasted space. Apart from being spacious and having full amenities, everything else was mediocre. Same or 1 type of homogeneous tile for the whole room, including toilet and wet/shower areas so possibility of slipping hazards. The wardrobe and toilet share the same door and the track wasn’t smooth. Have to exert bull strength to open and close. In the end, we just left the door half opened. Too tedious to open and close. The main entrance door was also faulty. We had to push it real hard to level and lock it. No coffee table between the TV and sofa and no luggage stand. No view from balcony - faces the facade of the other rooms. Moreover it’s too hot to sit at the balcony with the air-con compressor running. Poor soundproofing, we got awakened by noisy housekeeping staff outside our room every morning!
Good luck to those with big and heavy luggage. No porter at sight when we arrived and the only way to the reception is either a flight of stairs or a very steep ramp. The potter appeared after we processed our check-in and offered to help us with our luggage which we declined. Why should we tip him after lugging the flight of stairs? Checkout is strictly at 12 noon. For late checkout, additional charge applies.
.We couldn’t wait to end our stay at Gig Hotel. How could this hotel be awarded 4*? The only plus point is, it’s near Jungceylon.

GGuest UserWe booked the furthest twin villa, which I believe is the best room type the hotel offers – spacious and convenient for beach access. Of course, the price wasn't cheap during the February winter break. The extra bed for the child included breakfast, but surprisingly, it didn't include a pillow or duvet, which had to be paid for separately. From booking the room to reserving the Racha Pier reception, getting to the island, arranging sea fishing, fun diving, spa treatments, and ordering at the restaurant, the staff were very enthusiastic and provided Chinese-speaking service throughout. However, you still had to actively ask for everything you needed. We could bring the fish we caught during sea fishing back to the restaurant for preparation, and the kids really enjoyed the lemon fish flavor recommended by the staff. Breakfast didn't include milk, so that had to be purchased extra. I wouldn't recommend the buffet for dinner; if you need to eat at the hotel, it's better to order à la carte. The breakfast options were limited; for guests like us staying 4 consecutive nights, it became repetitive, and by the end, my child was only eating toast. If you're staying on Racha Island and plan to dive, I still recommend staying here. The diving instructors and safety officers were quite responsible. The waves were quite strong, so kayaking wasn't allowed too far from the shore in either direction, and we weren't permitted to go out of sight of the beach staff.

KKelly8692Pros - it is quite near to Phuket International Airport - around 30-35mins. The Resort is very big, near to the sea and provides free shuttle to Kata & Karon Beach and free Kayaking to the guests. We had the sea view room and the view everyday was great. The location is very far from central/downtown which is why it is very peaceful to stay here. The rooms are slightly outdated, but they are kept very clean so the outdated part doesn't feel much. The staff is also very kind and helpful. Overall its a nice resort to stay for a short while as it is quite far.
Cons - For the 4days we stayed there, we did not like the breakfast as much. The breakfast area and view was very good, but every time we went for breakfast - it was always served cold. No matter we went early or late for breakfast, the food was always cold. There is a lot of variety in breakfast but none of them tasted good because it was always cold or not warm enough. The resort is really very far - around 1hrs 20min from the main tourist areas like Kata, Patong and Karon beach, so if you are planning to travel to these places - plan accordingly. As it is expensive and far to travel back to the resort. Also since it is far - there is no market or small shops nearby the hotel that you can walk up to in the evening. The only choice is to stay at the resort, swimming pool or inside the resort because the road that drives up to the resort is quite steep to walk.
Overall it was a comfortable stay but it was a bit of hassle with the breakfast and travel back to the resort. This is why I am giving 4stars.
