GGuest UserThis is such a welcoming hotel! Every single person, from the front desk staff to all other service personnel, and even the fellow guests we encountered, was incredibly warm, friendly, and polite. What's more, everyone at the hotel, both staff and guests, genuinely loves children. This was our third stay here, and just like the previous two times, it truly felt like coming home. Our room was very comfortable, ensuring we had wonderful sleep every night. Our child particularly enjoyed the hotel's pool table, making sure to play there daily. The location is also fantastic, being very close to Patong Beach. We had a fantastic few days here, and our little one was quite reluctant to leave when it was time to head home. We've already promised to bring him back again very soon!

SsaiudnThe staff were really welcoming upon arrival, with a drink and fresh towel to cool down. I was given a twin room but the staff kindly put the beds together immediately. The mattress and pillows were so soft and I slept comfortably. One small faul is that there was no remote control for the AC, so I did have to get up in the middle of the night to adjust the settings.

NNikitaThe pool and the breakfast are good. We also had a nice town view. The room is controversial. We had to wait till exactly 14:00 to check in. We couldn't even check in at 13:58. The toilet is a joke. It has a big glass with a frosted part so you can see a silhouette of a person in the shower. The sliding door has a big gap so you can see a person sitting on a toilet through it. So there's no sound proof on the toilet and you can see and hear almost everything happening inside. I had to go to the first floor toilet to do my things. And water pipes are noisy and might start buzzing in the middle of the night. A few times we heard loud music somewhere in the hotel so we had to call the reception to solve the problem otherwise it was impossible to rest in the room. There also was dust somewhere in the room. I'm not sure I'll stay there again.

AAnisurrahmansMy stay at the Andakira Hotel was nothing short of phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and efficient. We were greeted with a cool towel and a refreshing drink, which was a lovely touch after a long journey. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and had a breathtaking view of the city skyline. The bed was supremely comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. The bathroom was modern and well-stocked with high-quality toiletries. The hotel's amenities are top-notch. We spent an afternoon by the beautiful infinity pool, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. The breakfast buffet was extensive, offering a great mix of local and international dishes, all of which were delicious. Its location is also a major plus, with easy access to public transport and main attractions. We cannot recommend the Andakira Hotel highly enough. It was the perfect base for our trip, and we will definitely be returning. Highlights: · Exceptional, friendly staff · Beautiful, clean rooms with great views · Excellent pool and amenities · Delicious and varied breakfast

GGuest UserThe room was very spacious. I checked in quite late and was given a room at the end of the hall. Initially, the bathroom had a slight odor, but the hotel cleaned it again the next day, and the smell was gone. The service attitude was excellent; they helped me with my luggage to the room. After checking out, since my flight was in the evening, there was a bathroom on the ground floor where I could shower, and they even provided me with a towel. There are also toilets on the ground floor. The breakfast was very rich with many choices. The pool was large and clean. Overall, it was excellent.

PpeterThe facilities are unbelievably outdated, haha. I initially didn't believe the reviews about the worn-out decor, and now I'm just speechless. This room would go for 200-300 RMB domestically, but I paid 1400 RMB for one night. The hot water didn't work and needed repairs, the phone was out of order, and even the card reader for the door was rusted, so only I could get the door open. My elderly family members couldn't even manage it, it was ridiculous. When I told the front desk about the hot water, they said they'd sent someone, offering a very insincere 'sorry.' And the air conditioning noise at night was just… wow. The hotel's only selling point is the pool, but the water probably hadn't been changed in a while because my child had an allergic reaction. Maybe our kid is just delicate; other foreign children seemed to play in the water fine. The front desk staff were all very nice, always smiling, but completely helpless. Breakfast was okay, not great, not terrible, but definitely not worth the price. For fruit, they only had watermelon, cantaloupe, and dragon fruit – no other tropical fruits, not even a banana or pineapple. You had to make your own noodles, which… I understand prices are higher during peak season, but this experience was really bad. I originally booked based on the IHG brand reputation, but now I feel it's a huge letdown. My advice to everyone is to check the real-life guest photos, haha.

AALESTAThe hotel is nice, secluded: there’s nothing much around it, which can be a good or a bad thing. I loved the private sandy beach, now it’s high season, and yet there were maximum 10 people at a time. So it feels all for yourself. I got upgraded and stayed in a little house with private pool and exit to the beach. Thanks for that. BUT there were 3 things I didn’t like: 1. noise, I don’t know, probably air conditioning or pool cleaning machine of A NEIGHBOR HOUSE, not even mine. In my room the AC and the fridge were also loud, but I turned them off. Yet I could not turn off the neighbor’s ones. At night it was hard to sleep because of that sound. 2. the pool cleaning — mine didn’t have that. The water there is still , was not changes next day, and I am not sure if was changed before I arrived 🤷♀️ In the neighbor pool I can see the water is always floats and changes, in mine not. 3. Every time I bought something and wanted to pay with my card, I had to go to reception. Every meal, every cocktail. That was disturbing. It was my last day of my holiday and I was short on cash. I thought it wouldn’t be a problem to pay by card, I could do it. But every time I had to climb 7 staircases to do it.

JJaniceTanMoved from Old Town to Patong. My experience in Old Town was superb, enjoyable and relaxing. As we were approaching Gig Hotel, my spirit took a deep plunge from excitement to anticlimax ! thought I had found a gem hotel after reading all the positive highly rated reviews. It was a total disaster and the start of my nightmares! The streets were lined with sleazy massage parlours and Muslim eateries. I thought I was in Middle East. It’s impossible to find authentic Thai cuisine in that vicinity, let alone any restaurant serving pork. Breakfast in hotel has no pork too. Receptionist gave wrong info of breakfast venue. Told us it’s at the rooftop but it’s actually on the first floor. Breakfast was always crowded and food not replenished after 10 am. 2 coffee machines but long line of queue as it takes forever to dispense a cup of coffee/drink. No informing prior to breakfast closure. Staff just started clearing everything abruptly. The chairs are another nuisance, so heavy that tends to hit the chair behind every time you get up. The whole tables and chairs setting was almost back-to-back, very tight and uncomfortable. The so called infinity pool was rather small and always packed as guests from Gu Hotel (located just opposite and under the same management) share hotel amenities. The gym was so pathetic with only a couple of equipment. Next, the room was oddly designed and poorly furnished. There’s nothing luxury about the room. In fact, it felt cheap, poorly designed with much wasted space. Apart from being spacious and having full amenities, everything else was mediocre. Same or 1 type of homogeneous tile for the whole room, including toilet and wet/shower areas so possibility of slipping hazards. The wardrobe and toilet share the same door and the track wasn’t smooth. Have to exert bull strength to open and close. In the end, we just left the door half opened. Too tedious to open and close. The main entrance door was also faulty. We had to push it real hard to level and lock it. No coffee table between the TV and sofa and no luggage stand. No view from balcony - faces the facade of the other rooms. Moreover it’s too hot to sit at the balcony with the air-con compressor running. Poor soundproofing, we got awakened by noisy housekeeping staff outside our room every morning! Good luck to those with big and heavy luggage. No porter at sight when we arrived and the only way to the reception is either a flight of stairs or a very steep ramp. The potter appeared after we processed our check-in and offered to help us with our luggage which we declined. Why should we tip him after lugging the flight of stairs? Checkout is strictly at 12 noon. For late checkout, additional charge applies. .We couldn’t wait to end our stay at Gig Hotel. How could this hotel be awarded 4*? The only plus point is, it’s near Jungceylon.

GGuest UserWe booked the furthest twin villa, which I believe is the best room type the hotel offers – spacious and convenient for beach access. Of course, the price wasn't cheap during the February winter break. The extra bed for the child included breakfast, but surprisingly, it didn't include a pillow or duvet, which had to be paid for separately. From booking the room to reserving the Racha Pier reception, getting to the island, arranging sea fishing, fun diving, spa treatments, and ordering at the restaurant, the staff were very enthusiastic and provided Chinese-speaking service throughout. However, you still had to actively ask for everything you needed. We could bring the fish we caught during sea fishing back to the restaurant for preparation, and the kids really enjoyed the lemon fish flavor recommended by the staff. Breakfast didn't include milk, so that had to be purchased extra. I wouldn't recommend the buffet for dinner; if you need to eat at the hotel, it's better to order à la carte. The breakfast options were limited; for guests like us staying 4 consecutive nights, it became repetitive, and by the end, my child was only eating toast. If you're staying on Racha Island and plan to dive, I still recommend staying here. The diving instructors and safety officers were quite responsible. The waves were quite strong, so kayaking wasn't allowed too far from the shore in either direction, and we weren't permitted to go out of sight of the beach staff.

MMrV12341234LOVED our stay here and would recommend the place to others. See my below pros and cons. Pros: -the staff was very friendly. They all worked very hard to make sure the guests are happy. -The food was delicious (especially the curry’s). Everything is good except maybe some of the western things like the hamburgers. Stick with the Thai dishes. The breakfast buffet was slightly above average. -The rooms were very clean. No bugs. -They provided us a very nice crib for our nine month old -we never once heard our neighbors, or any guests, through the walls. -The ac worked great. -There is a free shuttle to old town Phuket each day (but see cons below on this). You can use the Bolt or Grab app to call a taxi. This is much cheaper than the on site taxi. -Free ride to and from the local beach (it’s not realistic to walk there because the road is too steep). -The beach is very quiet compared to most beaches in Phuket. There is a bar at the beach that serves all kinds of drinks. There are free beach chairs for you. If they are all taken the staff has large picnic mats for you to use (see below for negatives about the beach) -beach area has a small children’s playground. One of those plastic castle style climb / slide things. There is also two small football (soccer) goals and a volleyball net. -the beach is really nice in its own way. The sand and water is not as beautiful as other Phuket beaches, especially those on the west side, but the views of the nearby islands make it very serene and something the west side beaches don’t have. If you’re not coming to snorkel and see fish, it’s a good beach. There is also lots of shade if needed. -you get one free kayak rental per stay -The sheets in the room were changed every day and were very clean and comfortable -The hot water was really hot and never ran out. -our room had a mini fridge that worked great and had a little freezer section. -The pool is very clean, cool, and relaxing. You can order drinks right in the pool -The upper pool has an amazing view of the Thai islands. Make sure to get to the pool early (8-9am) and secure a chair or two if you plan to have a pool day. -speaking of the view, because you’re on the east side, there are many islands in the distance, making the view’s spectacular. The west side beaches you’re looking out into open ocean. Here you see mountains and hills in the distance. Cons: -they give your room 2 water bottles each day, but you’re stuck at the resort unless you hire a taxi. So we had to continually buy water from the desk or restaurant until we went out to the 7-11 (I recommend stopping at a convenience store on your taxi ride to the resort and stock up on water, drinks, snacks etc that you enjoy) -you have to get a taxi everywhere, even to a convenience store. -There is a small store on site that sells snacks, drinks, souvenirs, cigarettes, etc. but it was never open. We got really frustrated because our 9 month old uses water for his formula and we simply couldn’t get enough water, so we had to repeatedly ask to use the store and then a worker finally came and let us buy some water. -Our room did not have electric outlets next to the bed (could be a pro for some?). Actually, there was only one outlet in the room that was reasonably accessible to charge phones. (Plug outlets are multi purpose, had USA & Europe holes) -The snorkeling is terrible at the Supalai beach. Very murky and cloudy water (The tides are rather extreme here, hundreds of feet of shore line exposed), leaving a muddy/marsh like area at the beach each evening. We even did a day trip over to Naka Yai island and Nahka noi island and the snorkeling was also pointless because the water is so cloudy. If you plan to snorkel don’t stay in the east side. But if you just want to side by the shore, relax, and get in for a quick dip… the beach is ok. -No cloths line In Room to hang wet clothes / beach towels -the free shuttle into town only seats 11 people so you need to r
