GGuest UserThe price doubles and goes up. I have stayed in this hotel many times. It always feels good. I came here again after many years and felt that the overall service and the quality of the food in the hotel were much worse. In particular, the service may be understaffed during the peak season, but it is indeed a very good hotel. Be sure not to make any mistakes when booking a hotel, otherwise he will be unkind and only care about money!

AAnonymous UserA perfect experience! The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right near the subway station. The annex has a dedicated check-in area, and they offer Chinese-speaking service, which is fantastic! The minibar is well-stocked with free drinks and alcohol, very generous of the hotel. The provided pajamas are also super comfortable~ Most importantly, the private onsen in the room is amazing. After a long day of exploring Kyoto on foot, relaxing in your own private bath in your room is pure bliss ❤️ 100% perfect!

LLiujingyanWe chose a large corner room with windows on both sides. The hotel building has a history of more than 200 years. The location is great. It is right at the entrance of Kiyomizu Temple Commercial Street. It is quiet in the bustling city. The hotel is very quiet and elegant, with high-end decoration, complete facilities and excellent service! Breakfast is served in a library-style restaurant, which is very special. I highly recommend Japanese breakfast. Everyone thinks it is high-end Japanese cuisine when they post it on WeChat Moments. There are also vegetarian and children's meal options for breakfast. I also strongly recommend the window seat in the executive lounge. Drink Japanese tea or Japanese whiskey in the afternoon and look at the quaint buildings outside. It is worth the effort!

GGuest UserOnline hotel bookings can often feel like a blind box draw, but Dusit Thani was definitely the right pick. Every staff member I encountered had an excellent attitude, the room was spotless, and even though the turndown service only provided a bottle of water, it was a pleasant and thoughtful touch. Thai brands truly excel in their service consciousness and aesthetic sense. The room itself was incredibly comfortable, and with no other guests in the public lobby areas, I thoroughly enjoyed the bliss of reading a book alone.

MMy WanderlistI had an excellent stay at Fauchon. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality. The hotel staff were also incredibly attentive and polite throughout our stay. My room was small but comfortable, featuring modern and luxurious amenities that were stylishly pink in colour and comfortable bedding. The attention to detail in the room was impressive, with thoughtful touches including a whole array of complimentary cookies and cake. Breakfast was served as a set menu and selection was limited and basic but expertly prepared and presented. The hotel's location was also perfect for me because it is situated right in the heart of Kyoto yet away from the crowded spots with excellent access to public transportation. The bus station is right in front of the hotel, the nearest train station is about 10 mins walk and the hotel is approx 15 mins walk to Kawaramachi Street (shopping area). Just behind our hotel is the river and all the restaurants. Our room has the mountain view.

IInna70Top end hotel of all we tried while traveling around Japan. Large room, spacious bathroom, good quality beds and pillows. Convenient central Kyoto location, next to subway station and in close proximity to many local attractions. If you a keen runner, there is a beautiful run and walking route around the river and map is provided by hotel. Breakfast was reasonable prices with good verity of both western and Asian food. There was a separate Japanese breakfast restaurant but we were not confident enough to try it as we don’t know the routine and etiquette well enough. (First time in Japan) We walked from the hotel to Geisha district and explored nearby parks. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and a full street of souvenir shops. Next door there is a spirit shop, which is not busy and this is where in a non crowded atmosphere I got good advice and bought a preferred bottle of Sake. Glad I did it in Kyoto because when we returned to Tokyo airport the choice was limited, all duty free shops were overcrowded by stressed tourists trying to buy gifts at last minute before departure. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay.

1118436****The room size was barely adequate. The idea of having a separate vanity, shower, and toilet was good in theory, but the design was flawed, making it very inconvenient to place toiletries. The floor had a strange odor—neither pleasant nor foul—I couldn't tell if it was from floor polish or something else. I initially thought it was the smell from my own feet after a long day of walking. The hotel claims to be eco-friendly, so many toiletries weren't provided, likely because there simply wasn't enough space. The service was mediocre; they didn't even replenish the bottled water when cleaning the room on the second day. After visiting several cities, I've come to realize that it's better to choose established hotels for good service and experience. Design-oriented hotels often look good but aren't practical. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its excellent location with convenient transportation access. Shopping is extremely convenient, with Takashimaya right next door and plenty of other places to shop and many restaurants. Of course, the foot traffic is enormous, and the street can be noisy at night, so those with light sleep should think twice before booking.

QQiangqiangmiaoGiven its non-cancellable policy, I hesitated for a long time when planning my trip, but ultimately decided to spend our last two nights here. We loved our stay so much, we didn't want to leave – I really should have booked it for our entire stay from the beginning! Despite the lack of an onsen (hot spring), the bedding was incredibly comfortable. After a tiring day of sightseeing, sleeping felt like floating on clouds, which was pure bliss. The photos really don't capture all the details. The bathroom was quite spacious, and all facilities were impeccably maintained. I didn't have high expectations for breakfast, which included options like stir-fried fresh mushrooms, Japanese chazuke, and Western-style dishes. However, the quality and flavor were undeniably excellent! They offered salmon sashimi, various other fish, bacon, ham, stir-fried mushrooms, and stir-fried chicken. For drinks, there was a good selection of fruit juices, and the fruits included grapefruit, grapes, bananas, and pineapples. The location is incredibly convenient. Keihan Sanjo Station and a bus stop are merely 80 meters away. We were able to walk to various attractions like museums, Ninen-zaka, Sannen-zaka, and Takashimaya. Getting to areas like Arashiyama by subway was also very quick. It was surprisingly quiet during the day. At night, just across the road, the bars along the Kamo River were bustling with activity. Yet, we experienced absolutely no noise in our room at night. The staff were exceptionally warm and friendly. When we first arrived, we struggled to find the entrance and ended up at the back door. By chance, we encountered a staff member just starting their shift, who personally escorted us to the front desk. Later, the front desk staff also personally guided us to the mother-and-baby room on the basement floor. These small details truly demonstrated the high quality of their service.

AAhmet ZekiDear Sir/Madam, I recently had the opportunity to stay at your hotel, and I would like to share my experience with you. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional design and comfort your property offers. Kengo Kuma’s architectural brilliance, with its use of natural wood, thoughtful lighting, and integration of art pieces, creates a stunning and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the materials, the size of the beds, and the premium linens were truly impressive. In terms of design and comfort, your hotel sets a remarkable standard. However, I did encounter several service-related issues that I believe could be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. I would like to share these points in the hope that they are helpful for future improvements: 1. Breakfast Lounge and Sushi Area: The proximity of these two areas creates a strong odor upon entering, which can be unpleasant. Improved ventilation could easily mitigate this issue. 2. Food and Beverage Service After Breakfast: The lack of food and beverage service after breakfast hours was inconvenient. At the very least, providing a space for guests to enjoy tea or coffee would be a welcome addition. 3. Room Service Availability: After a long journey, I was surprised to learn that room service was unavailable and that only rice balls could be provided. Expanding room service options would greatly improve the guest experience. 4. Flexibility with Breakfast Hours: Due to the time difference, I arrived slightly late for breakfast at 10:10 AM and was informed that nothing could be served. Even my request for tea did not receive a clear response. Greater flexibility in accommodating guests dealing with jet lag would be highly appreciated. 5. Lobby Services: The inability to offer anything to drink or even host a guest in the lobby felt restrictive. This could be improved to make the lobby a more welcoming space. 6. Spa Experience: I was unable to experience the renowned Banyan Tree spa as it was fully booked. Expanding spa reservation availability would help meet guest expectations for this signature offering. In summary, while the hotel excels in design and comfort, the service offerings seem to be constrained by rigid rules and limited hours, which can detract from the overall guest experience. I strongly believe that adopting a more flexible, guest-centered approach would significantly enhance satisfaction. If the above issues were addressed, I would certainly consider staying at your hotel again during my next visit to Kyoto. Once again, I want to thank you for the exceptional design and comfort provided during my stay and hope that these suggestions contribute to further elevating your standards. Best regards, next visit to Kyoto. JjhbennyFirst off, the location is excellent, right across from Hankyu Arashiyama. We came from Kyoto, and there's a direct bus from our Kyoto hotel, so we took the bus. We checked in at 3 PM, dropped off our luggage, and then went to explore around Togetsukyo Bridge. We also had tickets for the Arashiyama Scenic Railway at 2:30 PM. For dinner, we had two time slots, 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM; we chose 5:30 PM, and the dinner was fantastic. The hotel also offers a late-night snack. The private onsen baths were busy at night, so we opted for the public bath, which was empty since we went early. The next morning, we chose a private bath. This stay included two meals, and we had plenty of time, so it truly felt like a vacation. Oh, and there's a tea bar on the first floor; I love mocha or cocoa. After the evening bath, there are popsicles, and after the morning bath, there's lactic acid drink. It's wonderful!
