5-Star Hotels in Colombo

Facilities: It's an old hotel, but well-maintained, and the pool is quite nice. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Environment: Strong Christmas atmosphere, and there's always live performances in the lobby, which is amazing! In the morning after breakfast, I saw a young man playing the piano, and in the evening, there was a band playing. It was a great experience. Service: The doormen were all very welcoming. Five-star standard service!

It took about 40 minutes to get here from the airport by taxi with no traffic. The hotel shares security with the mall downstairs, which is very convenient for shopping and dining. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I got a 20% discount on the buffet dinner, which came out to less than 100 RMB – it was incredibly rich and great value for money. The room facilities were new, and the bedding was clean. All the staff were very friendly.

I stayed in the Premium City View King Room this time, and as soon as I entered, I was amazed by the spacious, bright room and exquisite decor! The room's cleanliness was impeccable, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the city skyline at night outside the window was absolutely stunning – perfect for photos! The hotel environment is elegant and tranquil, with modern and comprehensive facilities. From high-speed Wi-Fi to the smart control panel, every detail reflects high-end quality. The service was exceptional – the front desk staff were welcoming and efficient, room service was prompt, and the concierge even thoughtfully recommended nearby restaurants and attractions. Even on a business trip, I felt the warmth of home. Whether for a business trip or a leisurely getaway, this place perfectly meets all needs. The value for money is outstanding, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time! 📸 Attaching a few real photos, unedited, for your reference~

The hotel's location, ambiance, and service are all excellent. The breakfast is rich and high-quality. It's just across the road from the Old Dutch Hospital. We booked three breakfasts, and they even helped us add an extra bed. In the morning, when you open the curtains, the view of the pool, Cinnamon River, and the ocean is absolutely unbeatable.

Overall pleasant stay at Cinnamon that I'd totally recommend to anyone and stay again myself. A comfortable bed, nicely sized room, beautiful property, convenient location, such friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast are just some basic memorable facts about our stay for 3 nights. The bakery downstairs, Plates restaurant, and the mall next door just add on to the comfort of the stay at Cinnamon Grand. To top it all off, we upgraded our stay to the executive floor, and accessed the lounge to enjoy a variety of mouth-watering snacks (that changed everyday) and took 2 free laundry/day offering. It couldn't get any better!

A beautiful building in a very pleasant area of Colombo; the architecture and interior design of the hotel are a joy to behold and the vast majority of staff are polite and courteous. Plenty of amenities nearby to suit all tastes and interests. The breakfasts were great both mornings (both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the Western style), and they really lived up to the high expectations we’d had from the Instagram marketing we’d seen. We were upgraded to the North West Suite, which was a larger room, for which we were greatly appreciative; a couple of issues with working plugs and appliances (coffee machine and hair dryer) were reported and rectified, although the wiring/plugs more broadly were temperamental and poorly placed (as expected, possibly, with the charm of an older hotel). However, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the bathroom was well appointed. Our only qualm was with the overzealous Head of Housekeeping, who seemed to not grasp the subtlety required for such a role, or the privacy with which guests might like to enjoy the beautiful hotel. It appeared that he lingered all too often in search of a tip, and didn’t quite appreciate the boundaries one might desire when paying a reasonable fee for each night. My wife and I took to speedily locking the door and placing the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the handle to keep his incessant interrupting to a minimum. His deputy was, however, an asset to the hotel, who seemed to comprehend the subtle art of providing high quality service for a luxury stay in a lovely hotel. All-in-all, a great choice for a hotel in the heart of Colombo, and hopefully, during a busier season, the aforementioned Head of Housekeeping might spread his overbearing attention across the many rooms of the hotel.

I had a wonderful stay. The rooftop infinity pool is the absolute highlight, the view of the ocean is breathtaking, especially at sunset. The room was clean, modern, and well-designed with a great bathroom. The location is perfect for exploring Colombo, and the staff were very welcoming. Highly recommend this for anyone visiting the city!

Huge apartment, 2 bed rooms with full amnities. Breakfast has a lot of selection but taste is bot quite good. Only bekery section doing well. Friendly staff, good location, nice view.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality, making the check-in process smooth and efficient. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect blend of comfort and modern amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep, while the stunning view from the window added an extra touch of relaxation.
