1. We walk quite a distance going to the hotel from the Suzhou railway station. Quite far I assume. But if you have budget might can grab a didi. It just located right beside the main road. 2. The room is tidy but is very cold during the spring season as well (we need to open the heater whole night in order to warm ourself). the water heater need time to refill after you finish. 3. One thing I cannot accept is the toilet door is transparent and just one pillar in the middle cannot even cover if someone need to attend the toilet. if is couple it will be very good. 4. The hotel is very very vintage as they preserve the very old mansion style. 5. The staff is very friendly as they help us to carry our luggage all the way to the room. Lady alone is hard to carry the big luggage. 6. You can also rent a hanfu cloth here :)

Very good location, in the center of the old town, walking distance to Guangchien Street, easy access to subway system. I stayed three nights, very friendly and helpful staff, helped me getting around. I forgot to bring some of my pernal items that I left in my room, and I called them after two days of my departure, the staff immediately located my stuff and send them back to me via courier with n hour. They really impressed me. A big ”Thank you” to the hotel staff !

It's a great hotel at a very affordable rate. Everything is 5star with a budget hotel rate. Chayuenchang metro is just downstairs!! Strabucks too. Branded shopping mall adjacent and the walking street with lots of restaurants. The lobby is on the 4th floor, with rooms on 4,5 & 6 floor. 4th flooor is the best as you do not need an access card for the lift. There is also an unbelievable cheap restaurant on the 2nd floor. Set meal (2 vege + 2 meat) with rice for just 15rmb. The reception was always keen to assist, accomodate us for an early check-in at 12 and also upgraded one of our room. It had beed a great 2n stay. Will definitely stay again if return to Suzhou.

The hotel is in a great location, with 5-6 minutes walking distance to Wanfuxing, Du Sanzhen, Huang Tianyuan, Jinshuilou and other local noodle shops, cake shops and pickled foods. There are also many supermarkets nearby, and Lianhua has very good prices. I bought daily necessities for the trip these days here. The nearest subway station here is Beisi Tower Station Exit 2. Suzhou Railway Station is 1 stop away by subway. The subway station is also 5-6 minutes walk from the hotel. You can even see the North Tower from the corridor window. There are escalators going up and down at Beisi Tower Exit 4, which can go directly to Baoguo Temple for sightseeing. Baoguo Temple cannot be entered with luggage, and there is a store in front of the door for storage. The walking distances of Humble Administrator's Garden and Lion Grove are 20 and 14 minutes respectively. Ouyuan and Pingjiang Road are also nearby. There is a cute blackboard in the hotel with recommended shops nearby, and the front desk staff will also provide suggestions for playing. On the first day, the front desk took the initiative to carry the luggage and took us to the room. The front desk provided transparent umbrellas for borrowing. You can order takeout, and the front desk will call and bring it to the door of the room. If you have any requests or need assistance, you can add the hotel WeChat, call the room phone or tell us when you pass by the front desk. The water pressure, water temperature and air conditioning temperature in the room are very good. It is clean and has daily cleaning and towel changes. The room is quiet, and you can occasionally hear noises when food is delivered to nearby rooms. There is a small refrigerator in the room, laundry detergent is prepared in the room, and there is a washing machine on the first floor of the hotel. If the travel itinerary is long, you can change clothes. There are anti-slip *****s in front of the bathroom. When checking in, the front desk will also remind you not to wear disposable slippers to enter the bathroom. There is also a note in the room reminding you to change into plastic slippers, which is very considerate. I highly recommend this hotel when traveling to Suzhou. It is quiet, beautiful and convenient for transportation.

The hotel is situated very near the Chayuanchang Metro and the walking street. It's not far to the places of interest by train or bus. There are lots of shops and eateries around the hotel. The room was large and comfortable, except the room window cannot be opened out for fresh air. There was a small fan in the room to circulate the air. Breakfast spread was good and some of the dishes on the menu changes every day.

I recently stayed at Suzhou Yinxiang Yisu Inn (Guanqian Street Pingjiang Road) and had an amazing experience. The inn is clean, conveniently located right by Guanqian Street, and just an 8-minute walk to Guantang Street. The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. What stood out to me were the thoughtful amenities like earplugs, disposable toilet seat cushions, and the best hair dryer I’ve ever used in a hotel—perfect for someone with long hair like me! As a female solo traveler, I felt completely at ease here, and I’m sure families would find it just as comfortable. Another big plus is that the hotel looks exactly like the pictures shown online. Having traveled to several cities in China, this is the only hotel where I felt so comfortable that I could switch off all the lights and sleep peacefully. I highly recommend Suzhou Yinxiang Yisu Inn and will definitely be coming back!

We stayed for 4 nights and its one of the best hotel we stayed! The service from the front desk by Yu Xing was very good. He was very polite and friendly. He was also very prompt with our request to make a room change (to one with a better view) and gave us a few options. Liu Xiao Qing from room services was also very kind and helpful - she helped us booked food delivery because we were unable to do so (no china number). Huang ahyi/ Huang auntie also helped to clean the room and provided washing detergent and washing bag such that we can wash our clothes and hang in the toilet! The room was also super clean and she is super friendly. Will totally recommend this hotel if you ever visit Suzhou. There is also free panmen access for hotel guests and I think its super worth. Panmen was beautiful!

GGarfieldjingThe night before check-in, I suddenly received news that the hotel swimming pool could not be used, which made the trip a little unhappy. I hope we can inform you earlier next time so that guests can have more choices. After arriving at the hotel, the lady at the front desk was very nice and upgraded the room type for free. Later, the housekeeper lady would also care and remind me from time to time. It slightly makes up for the regret of not being able to swim. The hotel is about 15 minutes away from Tongli. No tickets are required in Tongli after 17:00, but there are no shops open after 17:00. It takes about 30 minutes by car to Suzhou city The hotel environment is quite good. The indoor and outdoor amusement park in the second phase is free. The ones in the resort are outsourced and charge a fee. There is table tennis but only one table. There is a fee for billiards but there is only one table. The hotel has small animals for feeding, including white geese, squirrels, chickens, pigeons, ducks, and dogs.

RRobsterNot knowing Suzhou at all, I thought I had chosen a hotel to suit my needs for exploring the history whilst still being near the modern. This hotel is ideal for both. With a metro station (line 3) Shajinqiao, within a 10 minute walk, literally, just round the corner, and a taxi ride to either end of where I wanted to be costing me under 30RMB, this was an absolute gem of a find. On arrival, the staff were very good and extremely helpful. I was checked in without any fuss, with the usual pandemic checks, travel codes, health codes and I showed both 48hr and 24hr covid tests. The room was cosy, with excellent air-conditioning, a very comfortable bed and very clean. The toilet was intelligent, electronic and quite a novelty. It even warmed my posterior whilst sitting on it! The hotel provides a kettle and 2 free bottles of water daily though there may at one time have been a mini fridge, it was not there on this visit. Breakfast is served at reasonable times with the last orders being done 10:30am. (11 am at weekends). It is a decent spread, predominantly Chinese food, rice, vegetables, meats with cooked-to-order eggs, porridge (Chinese rice style) and a cold buffet. There are delicious pastries, toast and fruit. Tea and coffee are available along with a varied selection of fruit juices. The restaurant is airy, bright and clean. Plenty of seating is available. Room lighting was bright and cheerful but could be set to 'mood' which dimmed and made for a more intimate atmosphere. On Didi App, the hotel does not come under Atour Hotel. You will need to search for Yi He Cha Can Yin Guan Li You Xian Gong Si. At the time of writing, Suzhou was low risk. However, the recommendation was for Suzhou citizens not to travel and if they had to, to show a 48hr covid test. I had a bit of trouble with getting the app to work and thanks very much, eternal gratitude, to the wonderfully patient and supportive reception staff who all contributed, made phone calls and tried their best to get the app to work. Eventually, we succeeded. That is service and that was fantastic. Highly recommend this hotel.

LLAN.CHENThe moment I entered my room, I was greeted by a sense of tranquility and indulgence. The room, meticulously appointed with stylish furnishings and plush amenities, became my sanctuary during my stay. The comfortable king-size bed, adorned with crisp linens and plump pillows, promised nights of restful sleep. The panoramic windows offered breathtaking views of the city's skyline, allowing me to immerse myself in the beauty of Suzhou. The room's spacious layout provided a sense of openness, while the carefully curated color palette exuded a calming atmosphere. The room services at Suzhou W Hotel were nothing short of impeccable. The attentive and friendly staff ensured that my every need was met promptly and efficiently. Kimi, a male staff member, stood out with his warm demeanor and exceptional service. He greeted me with a genuine smile and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Kimi's attention to detail was remarkable, and he went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. His knowledge of the hotel's facilities and services was impressive, and he was always ready to provide recommendations or answer any questions I had. The Suzhou W Hotel also boasted an impressive array of facilities to cater to the well-being of its guests. The large gym, equipped with top-of-the-line workout devices, provided a haven for fitness enthusiasts like myself. Whether it was a morning jog on the treadmill or a full-body workout using state-of-the-art strength training equipment, the gym offered everything I needed to maintain my fitness routine. The spacious and well-lit workout area, coupled with the panoramic views of the city, created an invigorating environment that motivated me to push my limits.

GGuest UserThere were a few ants in the first room we booked, but after a few screams and a phonecall we were quickly moved to another ant-free room. The staff were so helpful, kind and willing to communicate in English to the best of their ability. They made plenty of gestures with bowls of fruit, fragrant sacks and even a personal delivery of the food menu when we couldn't find the English menu on the TV. Their frequent arrivals had us jumping in our robes to grab the door every so often, but each time we were grateful to receive such thoughtful snacks and smells. Lovely place. Would visit again.

Qqueen_kooIf you’re looking for a perfect 4 star venue in the city centre then look no further! This place is a good bargain all round the year and even in peak seasons. I am going to split my review into sections so bare with me. 1) Rooms: The outdated the rooms need a serious paint jobs and the couch is quite “scratchy” material wise. Despite the interior eye sore, the flats are quite cosy with everything you need. Scenery wise , those who aren’t afraid of heights request the balcony rooms ! Maybe they don’t have the views of the shanghai centre shopping mall but the evening breeze did put me to sleep like a baby! Also the television was well packed with nostalgic movies , I really enjoyed the entertainment. Although the TV volume doesn’t go too loud , I guess it’s good respect to the neighbors some of who are long term tenants. 2) Service: Impeccable. The people here, although clearly overworked are so nice! The housekeepers are all so wonderful ! They were the ones who let me come back to a clean flat everyday , really it was a piece of home with a whole lot of help! For shampoos and conditioners and shower gel you would need to let the front desk know you need it, so please keep that in mind! 3) Breakfast: Just enough for survival , I’m quite particular about my tastes in food where the buffet options were too less and unfortunately not too tasty. But I was able to survive…I really hope they can fix this though cause the place although cheaper than others isn’t exactly cheap as well. If you want a good breakfast spread , you will be left heavily disappointed. There’s a lot of cost cutting the hotel group has done and it’s obvious…I hope Ascott takes this into consideration cause it’s not good to have better hotels around the world but keep smaller cities forgotten and tightly budgeted!! Suzhou is quite expensive than other cities due to the constant influx of tourists. I don’t usually write much for my reviews but In this case I seem to care after seeing the overworked hotel staff and the poor conditions around them. Come on Ascott do better. I initially was tempted to give a 3/5 review stars but it’s the people that pushed it up.

Excellent
GGuest UserReally beautiful place. It looks to be brand new - maybe it is, maybe it isn't, but it certainly looks new. The room (a suite) was very spacious, very clean. Just a very beautiful place that fit well with the surroundings. The whole building was impeccably clean. I rated the service 5/5 because the owners were very nice, and largely left us alone. The family was processing tea and were quite busy - check-in was extremely quick, check-out too. I'm not looking for hospitality, so being left alone suited us fine - this isn't a criticism at all! The rooms don't really come with much extra (tea, coffee etc.), just a couple of bottles of water, so best to know that before you book if you usually expect this, but we didn't so we were fine with it. You can buy really good tea from them (maybe we timed it well as we arrived at the peak tea-picking time). The owners were very kind and let us try some, and it's really good tea - we ended up buying some. Food was pretty good, but again they were quite busy and have specific times that food is available, and no menu, so best to check ahead with them (again, really taking into account that they were super busy processing tea when we were there). Absolutely not a problem as there are so many great restaurants around too. TV in the room had VOD but without VIP, so if you're looking to watch movies or anything best to bring your own (including HDMI cable as our TV didn't have one). Location excellent. Space for maybe 4 cars to park, right next to a small hill, very close to the pick-up point for the sightseeing bus to take you up to Xishan, and surrounded by lots of restaurants, B+Bs etc. so if you like coffee, there's a shop just down the road. Very beautiful surroundings - you will be shocked that you're so close to Suzhou as there's absolutely no evidence that you're anywhere near a city! All in all, really enjoyable. Amazing price for a suite (around Y500 per night) and one of the better homestay-style places we've stayed in. Highly recommended.
