Osaka Hotels with Pools

Stepping into this hotel felt like going back in time to The Great Gatsby. It's probably the most luxurious hotel I've stayed at in Osaka. They really made good use of the public spaces, and the Peacock Alley is simply stunning – I could admire it all day. The front desk staff spoke fluent English, which made communication quite easy. Contrary to what I read online, the standard room was perfectly fine. I was given a high floor, and the room was spacious, well-divided, with plenty of space for luggage. The twin room had two queen-sized beds (1.5 meters each), making it very family-friendly. The downsides were the low water pressure in the bathroom and the water not getting hot enough. They provided Aesop amenities, and the ginger scent was lovely. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. It was semi-buffet style with limited variety, and the main courses were quite uninspired, not really matching the room rate. I do recommend the French toast among the main dishes, it was excellent. The biggest issue was the long queues, which really detracted from the experience. The hotel's location is quite good. Directly downstairs is Green Place with a wide variety of dining options, and Ushigoro is on the third floor. You can walk to department stores like Hanshin, but taking a taxi is more convenient for Hankyu.

Exceeded my expectations! The room was incredibly spacious, equipped with a washer/dryer, microwave, fridge, kitchenware, dining table, and even a desk. It's perfect for families traveling with kids, catering to everyone's needs. Daily cleaning was impeccable; the window glass was wiped clean every day, free of fingerprints or water marks, offering beautiful views outside. The bedding was comfortable, the AC didn't blow directly on my face, the shower water was great, and it was perfectly soundproof with no noise, so I slept very well. The location is convenient, surrounded by various malls, bus stops, and convenience stores. The hotel's swimming pool is also kid-friendly. I'd definitely choose InterContinental and this room type again on my next visit!

The hotel staff were very welcoming. The gym and pool had dedicated attendants, and you could rent swimsuits. The pool was heated, and they provided towels, bathrobes, iced lemonade, mineral water, and a swimsuit dryer. Basically, you could just go down in slippers with your room card to enjoy it. The pool area also had a sauna and a cold plunge pool. The hotel's breakfast selection was rich, offering Western pastries, Chinese dim sum, and various Chinese porridges, all of which tasted quite good. The hotel also offered electric bicycle rentals, perfect for cycling to Osaka Castle. The JR station was a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. The tea in the room was also delicious, and the teapot selection showed good taste, allowing you to enjoy tea and the views of Osaka Castle from your room. The hotel bathrobes were very comfortable, and even the hairdryer was a Dyson. The room key was a wooden hotel logo card attached to a wristband. It's fine if you're not going far, but I personally prefer a card-style room key that can fit in my wallet.

Pros: 1. Exceptionally clean. 2. The room has an transom window that can be opened for ventilation (it's rare for high-end city hotels to offer openable windows; I hope they retain this feature when they renovate). Fresh air is definitely better than a ventilation system, as ventilation ducts can also accumulate pollutants. 3. High-quality ingredients used for breakfast. 4. Room service food is delicious; I ordered it multiple times (mainly because there aren't many dining options nearby). 5. Plenty of convenience stores in the vicinity. 6. Excellent water pressure in the bathroom, very refreshing. 7. The toilet light brightness is adjustable, allowing you to see clearly at night without being fully woken up. 8. Great location. It's actually quite close to Umeda. A taxi to Shinsaibashi cost 125 yen, and back from Umeda was between 70-80 yen. A taxi to Universal Studios Japan (USJ) was 365 yen. The airport is less than an hour away. 9. All staff members greet you with a bow, giving a very 'old money' imperial vibe. 10. The rooms are spacious. I recommend booking a 40 square meter room for a very comfortable stay. Cons: 1. The adjacent shopping mall is struggling, and all the restaurants inside have closed down, leaving very few dining options nearby. Only McDonald's is open; otherwise, you have to walk at least 700-800 meters to find a decent restaurant. Also, the hotel doesn't offer a buffet dinner for lunch or dinner, which meant I had to rely on room service. 2. The hotel provides very few toiletries; there wasn't even body lotion. Who doesn't moisturize after a shower? Hotels like Okura at least provide a small sample pack with a tiny packet of makeup remover, face wash, toner, and lotion – that can't cost much. 3. The room service menu could be more diverse. 4. The buffet breakfast variety is exactly the same every day. After eating it for five days, it was hard to keep going. Couldn't they introduce a little variety?

The hotel's location is superb. It's a convenient 3-5 minute walk to Osakajokoen JR Station, making it easy to get anywhere. There's an elevator inside the station that goes directly to the exit. After exiting, you walk about a hundred meters along a corridor to another elevator that takes you to ground level. Cross a small bridge and an intersection, and you're at the hotel. This is incredibly convenient if you have large luggage. The hotel is situated on the northeast side of Osaka Castle Park, by a small bridge, so you can easily stroll along the castle moat anytime. Shopping and dining are also very convenient. Cross the overpass from the park's south exit, and you'll find Q's Mall. There are also countless restaurants if you walk to Kyobashi Station (and along the way). For airport transfers, take the JR line to Tennoji, then transfer to the JR Loop Line (red), and it's just six stops to Osakajokoen Station. The hotel's cleanliness and facilities are excellent, especially the soundproofing – it's very quiet. The mattress and pillows are just right, providing a great sleeping environment. The hotel service is highly professional, from the front desk and restaurant to the lobby and concierge. The breakfast is a rich blend of Western and Japanese styles (though the coffee was a bit weak). I stayed for seven nights in total and had a fantastic experience.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! 👍 It's a two-minute walk to the Glico Man signboard, so even if you're out late shopping in Shinsaibashi, you can just turn around and head back to the hotel to rest. The transportation is also super convenient. The free public bath on the top floor is a really nice touch! 👍 The single beds in the room are very practical. And the temple on the ground floor adds a unique charm. Highly recommended!

This hotel boasts an excellent location, with its lobby conveniently situated on the 6th floor of Nankai Namba Station. It's highly recommended if you have a lot of luggage. There's direct access to Takashimaya from certain floors of the hotel, making shopping and dining incredibly easy. Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori are also within a 10-minute walk. Right next to the lobby, on the 10th floor (accessible by elevator), you'll find a 7-Eleven and various restaurants. It's truly a fantastic choice for a trip to Osaka. The restaurant on the top floor offers a panoramic 360-degree view of the city. The rooms are exceptionally spacious for a Japanese hotel. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

This one just beats all my other stays in Japan, it was seriously that good. The location is near Umeda Station, a super quick three-minute walk, and it was so easy to find amazing local cuisine nearby. The public bath is the absolute MVP here. I was totally not expecting someone with a tattoo on the back like me to be allowed in, but it was fine. My Japanese friend even said, ”Your public bath is way too good to be the one of a hotel, it should be a private public bath.” The quality is superb, and the amenities are fully equipped with everything you have in your own bathroom: hair spray, shampoo, hair conditioner, sponge, razor, nail clipper, nourishing cream, toothbrush, toothpaste and woww a lot. You put heart in every detail. It was my first experience with a Japanese public bath, and it was the best. The staff are super friendly but still uphold guests’ privacy. Having a lot of guests, it was surprisingly enough to sleep. Just one quick recommendation: The hostel requires a daily check-in even when you book consecutive days. For us, it was no problem sorting out and communicating with staffs. But some foreign guests seemed a bit confused by the process. If they could clarify that for non-Japanese speakers better, the place would be beyond perfect! Thanks for the excellent experience!

This hotel is incredibly convenient! Whether you're shopping in Umeda, traveling by JR, or heading to the airport, it's just a 3-minute walk to the station. Kim at the front desk was super fluent in English, and even though check-in in Japan is usually at 3 PM, she kindly arranged an early check-in for me after checking the room's readiness. I'm truly grateful to the hotel. Out of my three stays in Osaka this year, the Hilton has been the best!

Convenient walking distance to and from the Sakaisuji-Honmachi Station serving the Chuo Line [C] and Sakaisuji Line [K], makes for an easy thoroughfare to all parts of the city, Umeda, and Universal Studios, too. Great amenities are its upper floor Onsen on the 14th floor, along with the swimming pool and gym facilities for an additional (2 700¥) per visit. Room size is fairly spacious for solo travelers, but opt for beds for two persons or couples. The hotel does not have laundry facilities though the nearest laundromat is about 6-blocks away. Very clean and open 24/24. This hotel has a chapel inside on the second floor for those who are observant travelers (for Christian devotees). There are several other temples and shrines all within distance from the hotel itself. Accommodations are very good from a short stay to a business traveler’s perspective or personal experience within this part of Osaka’s financial districts. Very lovely places for returning visitors.
