"Spent a night in a lovely comfortable bed with decent breakfast in morning. Main downside was a very poor electric shower with low water pressure and erratic temperature control. Some of the other fixtures and fittings need attention as well - TV sound distorted, bathroom extractor fan doesn't work properly, bathroom mirror appeared to have a built-in light but it didn't work or wasn't connected up. This was the ground floor room at the front. Was also surprised to see in the online listing that the place has a tennis court and a billiards room, perhaps it does but I didn't see info in the room about where they were."

"Beautiful house and lovely location. Cottages are very dog friendly - bed, bowls, treats and toys provided! Amazing food and ambience. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Giraffe theme was a quirky touch."

"To book an executive room (3 in the castle) they charge you extra £40. As a main feature rooms come with the hot tub. When we got there for valentines- we were told that two rooms have the tub and one we will stay at does not! What we had was poorly cleaned room, quarter full bin and a used by previous guest tea cups. No apologies just the blame put on ***********. Very poor. Rude receptionist too."
