the pool is so long and is the main highlight of this resort. rooms are quite spacious. mattress topper makes sleeping really comfortable. resort look spectacular in a lot of ways. highly recommended.

This is a lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds on the beach front with easy access to bars and restaurants. Breakfast is varied with a mixture of Thai and western dishes and is served in full view of the sea and beach which is very peaceful and relaxing. There is an egg station but it can get very busy at times when the restaurant is full but there was never any problems in getting a table. The juices although refreshing appear to be more like cordial than fresh fruit juice and coffee is brought round by the staff who will refill your cup when necessary. There are several pools on the grounds and lots of sun beds to choose from. I did note however that people were claiming sun beds early in the morning which is unusual for Thailand. The centre pool is massive and ideal for swimming. The rooms are a little dated in dark wood Thai style but are comfortable, quiet and the air conditioning is good. The staff are all very helpful and appear happy in their work. There is a safe in the room and a balcony with two comfortable chairs. There is daily maid service but it appeared to be quite late in the day sometimes when we had retired to the room for a rest.

Wow , what a find ! Have to admit , for price we paid ,our expectations weren’t that high ! How wrong were we ! Great room , ok not the most ‘ up to date ‘ but was big , great air con , huge bed , good shower , nice balcony , fresh sheets , towels and pool towels daily , Wi-Fi was good . Breakfast , what a great choice , yoghurt , fresh fruits , cereals , pastries , fresh egg station , with beautiful fresh eggs , bacon , sausages , a curry featured every morning ( delicious ) good coffee , only slight downside , the fruit juices , more like squash and very sweet . 2 nice pools , one on the bungalow side , this has plenty of shade , should you want . A 5 min stroll to a nice beach , 2 sunbeds and umbrella , 200thb Short walk from Fanari you have an abundance of bars , restaurants and massage places and the night market ! Staff at the hotel are lovely , very friendly , anything you ask , they try and oblige . Value for money at its best ! Well done Fanari ! And see you next year we hope !

Fabulous little resort. We have been travelling Thailand for 5 months and this resort is in my top 2 as everything was perfect. Stayed in a pool villa. The pool is really for sitting however very good for cooling off with a drink. The room was spotless and big. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and clean. Bathroom had everything and was spacious with huge shower. The main pool is very clean and modern looking. Staff super friendly. You will need a car or taxi or scooter. We had a car so no problem. The resort is at the north end of the area. Was a little tricky to find but turn left at the road sign and drive down the track you come into the back of the resort. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was served to you. Great coffee! Standard Thai Brekky eggs toast fruit etc enough to start your day.

Amazing hideaway spent 5 nights here after travels g Thailand and it was wonderful from start to finish . Breakfast is beautiful anything you want they can do , right on the beach and so quiet and many guests on the 2nd , 3rd and more visits . Staff all great and always happy to chat no fitting for sun beds on the beach or round the pool . We used the spa service excellent Walking distance to khao lak and restaurants on route . Would highly recommend this place

we have now been to the third sunset resort. a small pretty hotel with a great location, great staff and very attentive employees. The terrace rooms are very good in a great location and have a priceless view of the sea. The massage on the beach is fantastically beautiful. the breakfast is ala card at the moment because there are few guests. But that's completely ok because you don't have to rely on buffet times and everyone only orders what they eat. we will return there again as it has become a home for us in Khaolak. everyone was so grateful that we were there as guests. it was a wonderful time here. 2 weeks unforgettable! Greetings from room 1203 Ivonne and Ralf Wir waren jetzt im dritten Mal im Sunset Resort. ein kleines hübsches Hotel mit toller Lage, tollem Personal und sehr aufmerksamen Mitarbeitern. Die Terrassenzimmer sind sehr gut in toller Lage und haben einen unbezahlbaren Meerblick. Die Massage am Strand ist traumhaft schön. Das Frühstück ist im Moment ala Karte, weil nur wenige Gäste da sind. Das ist aber völlig ok, da man sich nicht auf Buffetzeiten verlassen muss und jeder nur das bestellt, was er isst. Wir werden wieder dorthin zurückkehren, da es in Khaolak zu einem Zuhause für uns geworden ist. Alle waren so dankbar, dass wir als Gäste da waren. Overall a fantastic holiday experience. Rooms are nicely done up, clean and relaxing . Staff are warm, welcoming, super helpful and friendly . Especially Nu who took great care of us . Great breakfast selection and super yummy. Great setup at kids room which also catered to older kids with Pingpong table , ball machine, arcade games and other selection. Staff at beach station were super helpful, all ready to help , SUP , boogie boards and kayaks available for use without charge. You really don’t have to go anywhere , just relax at the beautiful Sandy beach. Kids also played volleyball almost every evening with other guests . Impressive fire show one night We will definitely come back here .

We upgraded from 2 suites from a package TUI booking pool villa 838 costing about 42K THB for 14 nights in November and December 2022. 2 adults, and 2 kids age 17 and 10 so the privacy of a private pool was one of our highlights of the holiday. This is such a peaceful resort with beautiful surroundings and very helpful staff. Notably Emme, Gift, Mark, Tee, Big, Yuda, Tar, Pecky and Winai. This resort is not within walking distance of town / Biang Nang market area, and a taxi to go there will set you back 300 THB each way from the guys on the beach outside the gate. That's the going rate both ways so don't be conned by a chancer. In the resort there's 2 restaurants, one's a buffet and the Napalai on the villa side of the river and you can eat from both if you upgrade. There are 2 swimming pools, several bars and organised trips to temples, islands, local markets, animal sanctuaries offered from the front desk or holiday rep so you aren't cut off from civilisation by being in such a remote area surrounded by beach and jungle, which is actually a plus point if you're a surfer, nature or beach lover because this resort scores a 10 if that's what interests you. We didn't travel to Thailand for the nightlife, just to chill in some winter sun. There's ample entertainment just 10 minutes away from the resort, in town or Memories bar, but if you want boom, boom, boom and all night drinking go to Phuket instead. I'd definitely return, but not with children.

Stay in this beautiful resort only if you’re ready to be spoilt by the amazing hospitality of their staff. It’s located in the middle of nowhere, but that doesn’t matter as the resort itself has everything you’ll need. We took the all in package. Rooms are luxurious, very clean, very well kept. The resort itself is very well kept, pool, beach, bar, playroom. Very family friendly. Stayed here twice, both during peak (March) and low peak(June), both occasions felt very different, i personally preferred the peak, however one thing that did not change was the hospitality of their amazing staff! A special shout out to Kwan for professionally handling the tantrum of a hungry 35yr old (me). Great selection of food in their restaurants too. And when you need a laugh, Sit@Aon will crack you up. Will always come back.
