Lena Mare Boutique Hotel ★★★★

"A truly beautiful boutique hotel. Our room, described as a honeymoon suite, was very spacious, had an incredibly comfortable bed, a large TV, bathroom with great rainfall shower & a big balcony with private hot tub. The whole suite was decorated & furnished to a very high standard & didn’t lack a thing. We ate lunch & dinner several times & the food was always very good quality, indeed one of the pasta dishes was as good as many we have had in Italy. The public areas such as the pool area & outside bar were also top notch & comfortable. A special mention really does need to be made for the staff. All were amongst the most friendly, helpful & efficient we have encountered in a hotel. Hopefully the management will read this because the value in staff like this needs to be fully appreciated! This review is about the hotel, but a brief mention about Acharavi where it is situated: Umm, very run down & frankly shabby. Many of the restaurants & shops are offering unauthentic, overpriced, low quality in not particular pleasant surroundings, or selling cheap tat. Not all of course, but many unfortunately. In short, perhaps stay at the hotel for a short break of luxury & great comfort in which case you won’t be disappointed!"

"Unda impressed us from the very first moment we arrived. The design of the hotel is beautiful, modern and very tasteful. Everything looked new and well maintained. The pool area became our favorite spot because it never felt overcrowded and had such a peaceful vibe. Breakfast every morning was fresh and enjoyable, and the service was consistently warm and professional. We left feeling fully rested and already talking about coming back next summer."

"Certainly not a place I would recommend to go to in October as the hotel shuts for the winter and the town winds down as well. Stunning views of Albania in the distance, but it's location and access to the seafront and town is dangerous, especially in the dark. The roads are terrible and their isn't a decent footpath that links the whole 5 mile bay. Hiring a car is a necessity,but I would recommend an automatic as the roads are terrible and very hilly and twisty! Sadly I got food poisoning during my stay, and when speaking to some locals, about being poorly, they automatically assumed I was staying at Robolla as it's renowned for food poisoning. The staff at breakfast were very rude and never said hello once. The waitress didn't smile or acknowledge my thanks, each time she cleared our table. Greek dancing was advertised on a banner when we arrived for the Sunday, but then didn't happen. We were advised then it was because the hotel was closing that week. There are midgies biting in October so you don't want to be outdoors in the evenings, but nothing happening in the hotel for guests and the decor is really bland and uninteresting. The reception is a lovely space and could be utilised so much more. We spent most of our time in our room, but only one music channel and two English speaking news channels were any good to watch. This stay has confirmed we won't be returning to Corfu and the Canaries is the place to be in October"

"The room was quite clean. We stayed in a duplex which can accommodate 4 people. The shower water pressure was great. The hotel has a nice view. There are many beach chairs, and the charge is 6 euros for an umbrella and two chairs (unlimited time). There are two restaurants on the beach, both of which tasted very good. There are three swimming pools and beautiful pool lights at night. The breakfast is quite rich, of course it is different from those five-star hotels in Yalong Bay, Sanya, but the desserts are delicious!"

"We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at Costa Botanica as a family of two adults and a two-year-old. We were given a room upgrade which was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated. The resort is really beautiful with lots of greenery and attention to detail. The pools are lovely- plenty of choice and the waterpark is brilliant with a lovely lazy river. There are lifeguards at every pool and also at the beach. We never had any issues finding sunbeds but I imagine it may be different during summer holidays. There is plenty for kids to do and our toddler had the time of her life. The staff are lovely and very helpful, the beach is gorgeous and the beach bar is great too. The main square is a pleasant place to chill in the evenings with table service for drinks and a general nice vibe. The food was good, no complaints and lots of choice. There was always lots of fresh fruit and salad, you can build your own or choose pre-prepared ones which were all delicious and there are plenty of meat and seafood options, I had some delicious grilled prawns with the shells on, mussels, fried anchovies etc. There are also plenty of options for more fussy eaters- pizza, chips, spaghetti Bolognese, chicken goujons etc. There are two snack bars and creperies/ ice cream stations which are great if you want lunch on the go or while you're at the pool and don't want to have to go back to your room, get dressed and go to the buffet restaurant. The snack bars provide things like sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers, gyros, salads, chicken nuggets, chips, pizza etc and there are also self serve beer stations. The cocktails are great and there are lots of options. We also did the wine tasting with Georgia which was fantastic and Georgia was very accommodating and provided drinks and snacks for our daughter while we sampled the wines. The a la carte restaurants were very nice (we went to all but the fine dining as they do not allow children). Mosquitoes were not as bad as expected having read previous reviews although we did always use repellant and I was bitten maybe 6 or 7 times. Considering I am usually eaten alive, this was a positive for me. Our toddler was not bitten at all and I only saw a couple of wasps which were not a nuisance. At one point, we lost power in our room and when we reported it, they sent someone to fix it straight away. The only minor negatives were the drinks service which was very slow at times. We were not bothered about having much to drink but if I had been on a couples or group holiday we may have been slightly more annoyed. The buffet restaurant was sometimes understaffed with tables lacking cutlery and glasses and at one point there was no high chair available for our toddler so we had to leave and go back later. We also requested a baby bath as we only had a shower in our room and it took two days and several reminders for it to be delivered to our room (although they were very apologetic). "We spent an exciting family holiday in this hotel, which we precisely selected out of many hotels in Greece. Whilst going on 5-star hotel, you can expect full service with minimal compromise - this high standard has been fully met. Apart from describing how rooms were clean or how food was tasty, will focus on our insights to highlight the specifics as well as in other my reviews. Will start with overall personal feeling that no "wow" effect did happen - can say it's a good hotel, but if you are looking for something special exciting, you will search hard in there. (+) For late check-ins - restaurant is providing minimal food service also during night hours, so won't let you stay hungry. (+) Aquapark - brand new water slides opened in 2026. Lifeguards are friendly, taking care, using common sense for letting even smaller kids go on the big slides - hence flagging this as family & kids friendly. (+) Beach - great capacity, nicely warm sea in the lagoons, enough space for kids to play in the sand. (+) For almost whole day you can get ice cream, pancakes or gyros. (+) Evening animation programs - inetresting show times, most exciting was white party's iconic decoration. Special thanks to DJ's, who play great songs that everyone knows and enjoys. (+) Desipte a big hotel, places are not crowded through the day. (-) Swimming pool - maybe an important info for most of you - It has salty water, tend to say oversalted. There two depths - 160cm and 45cm. So for kids at school age is the main pool too deep, side pool too flat. That's why we used the central swimming pool area only once and would call this as the weakest point in whole resort. (-) Piña colada without milk - omg..., man this is really a suspicious one. So milk became a communication medium on the bars, anyway restricting milk which is a base of this drink is a curious and a bit said fact considering category of this hotel. Corfu is a beautiful island with many nice corners. For travelling there just ensure more time, as the narrow roads and hilly terrain are making travels by car timely demanding.
