Best Places to Stay Near JR Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo

Great hotel. Excellent customer service. Near the train station. Room is clean and new. WiFi is good. If you are staying in the superior room, do ask for the Mt Fuji view. We stayed on the 19th floor and we can view the beautiful Mt Fuji from our room.

I wasn't planning on staying there, but decided to do so on short notice. It was good that it wasn't too far from the station. I happened to stay on the top floor, and I could see the Sunshine Building and Shuto Expressway from my room, making it a great location! It was satisfying enough for a quick one night stay.

I left my luggage before check-in time and walked out of the area and checked in in the evening, but the luggage I left was already in the room. I don't remember anything other than our hotel that did this at a hotel in this price range. This hotel is located in the middle, close to the railway traffic, very convenient for our short-term travel, breakfast is very good, there are many types, the room is small, the activity space is crowded, but it is very clean, the furniture is complete, the bed is very hard, it should be a standard Japanese style, Electronic heated toilet seat cushions have become a habit of us, where can I buy them? There are many places to eat nearby, no need to eat in the hotel restaurant, of course, it is also very good.

The location is abit far from any train station but it was link thru sunshine city shopping mall. Come during winter , the AC is central control so the room is abit stuffy so the staff offer us a standing fan. Hope they can upgrade the AC system. We do have a great view able to see the Tokyo tower

I stayed for 7 nights on way to see family in OZ from the UK, my reason for choosing Sakura Ikebukuro was that I was stopping off to see my daughter who is doing a year at nearby Rikkyo University. The first thing is to say that there were very helpful reception staff who spoke good English. It's on a reasonably quiet street (for Tokyo). I stayed in a single room, there was a sign in the lobby that no visitors are allowed in rooms. I have no experience of Japanese hotels and was told they are generally very small, but this was fine, the bed was probably a small double, so generous for one. There was no cupboard space but some hooks on the wall to hang clothes, but that wasn't an issue for me. Below the window was a large shelf (with TV that I didn't use) and sockets to recharge my devices. There was an ensuite and the shower was over a small bath but plenty of hot water and good pressure. I took the breakfast option in the cafe across the road that was cheap but basic, thick white toast with butter and jam and coffee. You could buy yourself an extra boiled egg if you wanted one. I think my rating overall was a 4.5 but as that's not an option I've gone for the full 5 on the basis of how friendly and helpful the staff were. Overall good value for money for the single traveller.

It is a hotel opened in front of Ikebukuro Higashiguchi station in February 2021. On the second floor of the hotel, there is a delicious restaurant called Heart, but if you ask for a hotel breakfast plan, you can eat a freshly baked fluffy sufrepan cake here. It was available. I think this hotel is worthwhile because it can stay at around 4000 yen to 6000 yen per night. If you register with a hotel member (free), you can receive a point addition according to the amount of use, and when you save points, you can exchange it with a free hotel ticket for a series of hotels. Living in Toyoko inn in Japan seems to be a habit. This branch maintains the level of a consistent chain store, but it takes a luggage to walk up the stairs from the big station in Ikebukuro and then cross the izakaya area where people come and go. Fantastic place to stay. Despite the compact size, the room was incredibly well-equipped, clean, and even with window here you can see the Tokyo tower. I look forward to returning.

Hotel was easy accessible from Shinjuku station through an underpass. There’s a video from hotel website that shows how to get to hotel using the underpass. There are eateries/restaurants/Lawson/familymart in the hotel. Lobby looks nice and grand. However the room and toilet are kind of old fashioned. Luckily it was still quite clean. The laundry machine for washing and drying were separate. After wash you have to go and manually transferred to dryer :( and you can’t monitor the washing status through tv. 2 other hotels we stayed b4 have this service. The rooms and facilities needed an upgrade. Will not come back again.
