"This is a beautiful Parador right on the main square in Úbeda. It is the perfect place to stay in this magical town. The town is renowned for its exceptional Renaissance architecture and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This "Parador de Úbeda," is officially known as Parador de Turismo Condestable Dávalos, and is indeed located within the UNESCO World Heritage zone of Úbeda's historic center. The building itself is a 16th-century Renaissance palace that was once the residence of the noble Dávalos family. The rooms are spacious and give you a feeling of staying in a Renaissance building. And of course, you are. It was a great stay and one I am so glad we didn't miss."

It is the second time we have stayed overnight in this hotel on the way to the Andalusian coast, ideal for relaxing, having a drink and/or tasting one of its numerous tapas and food in any of its bars and/or restaurants, and admiring a multitude of buildings and monuments since Úbeda is a World Heritage Site."

"The owner was warm and kind and the hotel is in an absolutely beautiful and historic area. The bed squeaked every time a hair on your head moved. It squeaked so much that we did not get any sleep at all. The sheets had stains on them. The shower was decent and the heater worked well. There is parking close by and there is an elevator up to the room. No breakfast was offered and there was no coffee in the room."
