"During road trips you just can't avoid those 1-night-stopovers where you never really know how much time you get to spend at the hotel before moving on. In Pare Pare we picked the Satri Wisata for several reasons: it offers nice rooms at reasonable prices, it has a pool and an own restaurant with a nice seaview. In the end, we were lucky to arrive before dark, so we had some time to freshen up in the pool, before having a good dinner in the restaurant. The room was nice and had a great view towards the bay and breakfast was a lot more than expected - with on-demand eggs, several local hot dishes and a big choice of pastry. Staff was nice and helpful, but we did not have to interact a lot as everything worked out very smoothly. Definitely recommended for a short stay, we did not have the chance to explore the city or the nearby area, but we did get out of town without much traffic, which is also a plus."

"Rumah Kurcaci d'Sawah is a cute place and focusses on young children, with several play grounds, farm animals and a swimming pool. It overlooks terraced rice fields and impressive mountain tops. If you’re not so keen having children in front of your cabin, there are plenty other homestays or villas around Malino. The check-in was easy and the servicing team is attentive to details. The cabin was well laid out, despite it’s smallness (Kurcaci means dwarf)."

"I stayed here for one night when I had an early morning flight. It's very close to the airport, so I recommend it. I contacted them via WhatsApp, and even though my overnight bus from Toraja arrived around 4 AM, they allowed me to leave my luggage. The lobby is open 24 hours. The owner was very kind. The room was spacious and clean. There was one mosquito, but I didn't see any cockroaches or ants. The shower has a showerhead. There was no hot water, but when I showered during the day, the water was lukewarm. It's very good value for money, so I recommend it."
