"The resort is rated 4 star and luxurious accommodation on online platforms. This rating is actually what attracted me to book the place. However, the condition of the chalet that I was booked in with my family is equivalent to a 2 star and not luxurious at all. Firstly, the carpets are worn out particularly the main bedroom such that every night I had to put bathroom towel so that I don't see the worn out. Secondly, the light bulb in the main bedroom did not have a cover thus exposed us to safety hazard. Thirdly, there was lot of dirt in between the wardrobe drawers. Fourthly, as a result of worn out carpet in the bedrooms, there was a terrible smell. We survived due to the room spray that we bought on our way when we we were buying bath towels. Thank God. There's too much flies such that some were just dying and falling down. The cleaning of the chalets is done on daily basis but there's no supervision to check the cleanliness hence the in between the drawers is extremely dirty. However, on the positive side, the place has beautiful views and lots of family activities and entertainment. If you are looking for a peaceful rest, this not the place because the music by the swimming pool can be excessive through out the day."

"We enjoyed our three night stay at Little Switzerland. We had sumptuous breakfasts daily and excellent dinners. Chef Robert cooked excellent meals for the guests. The steaks , beef roasts and lamb currry was fantastic.The accomodation was clean , well maintained rooms were cleaned daily.We booked Executive Suite 31 with beautiful views , it is also very close to the restaurant. The Spa provided excellent service. We enjoyed the Swedish Massage we recieved from the friendly very experienced masseurs. Well managed resort."

"We loved our stay at Gooderson Monks Cowl, except that our bike and scooter was stolen at night, left outside the front door. The rooms are clean and they have everything one needs. The dam view was picturesque. The restaurant was well priced. The games/conference room had a functioning pool table and fuse ball game but needed a vacuum and dust. The putt putt course was fun. Unfortunately the weather was cold and rainy so we could not use the water slides and pools, but there is a lot to do in the area. The Reptile Park was great, the Waffle Hut and Chocolate Memories centres have beautiful gardens and jungle gyms for kids. The Bakery was beautiful and had delicious eats. All in all a great stay, besides the bike and scooter being stolen."

"WE WENT THERE TO CELEBRATE OUR 56TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY. OLD BUILDING BUT EXCELLENT AMBIANCE AND NICE SHADED PARKING. THE ROOM WAS HUGE AND THE SHOWER WAS GOOD WITH NICE HOT WATER. THE BEST PART OF OUR STAY WERE THE EXCELLENT DINNERS WITH STEAK THE FIRST NIGHT AND LAMB CHOPS THE SECOND NIGHT COOKED TO PERFECTION. LOVELY THREE COURSE MEAL. WE FURTHER ENJOYED OUR OUTING TO THE SPIOENKOP BATTLEFIELD WHICH IS ABOUT 30KMS FROM THE LODGE."

"Went here for lunch with friends. Most of us had a burger which was really delicious. 2 guests had steak which they said was inedible and sent back. Management staff were not very accommodating. To be fair this sort of venue should really only offer pub grub. Burgers pizza etc. Setting was lovely with great views over dam. We were not staying at resort. Staying at a much nicer caravan camping resort nearby."
