We felt very uncomfortable at first sight of the room. The ant trail and gecko in the bathroom together with the half broken sink und the stinking fridge very quite aweful. Breakfast also isn't great. Staff is friendly, but only acts when you tell them to

Well located: everything within walking distance but a little quiet on the edge of the hustle and bustle.
Had a room with a large balcony with a view of the city, but I could enjoy the great view of the mountains from the pool terrace.
Rooms were rather simply furnished, especially the bathroom was very basic.
Breakfast was spartan.
Price-performance ratio was only just OK, but Vang Vieng is popular and expensive overall.
