"The hotel is well located and easy to access, pleasant staff, the room was not made up but hey we only stayed 2 nights so it's ok"

"We loved it. Great price, location great, nice bar, good restaurants in the immediate area. Parking underneath is secure. Very central in the city."

"No coat rack in the room, no place to put suitcases etc... Radiator heating stinks, a big burning smell pfff!!!"

"The hotel is generally clean, and the superior room is pleasant and smells good. The only thing that could be improved to make it perfect is the hallway on floor 3, which doesn't smell good."

"The downstairs, public areas are great but the bedrooms are really not up to the Mercure standard and certainly not worthy of a 4* hotel. The bar and restaurant area is really beautiful with a lovely, shady terrace and plenty of cosy chairs and sofas to relax in. Breakfast was superb, lots of choice and the restaurant and bar staff were fantastic. However, I can't recommend an overnight stay here. We stayed in a "superior" room but there was nothing superior about it - it was very dark and cramped, with horrible purple walls and white plastic furniture, it seemed more like a budget motel than a 4 * hotel. It is advertised as having air conditioning but this is misleading as it just has an old fashioned ventilation system that didnt work effectively in the hot weather. The room was dusty and the carpet was quite grubby. The car park next door "Le Clemenceau" is a very cramped multi-storey, quite difficult to manoeuvre around even in a small car. The car park is closed in the evenings and at weekends so if you need to access your car at these times you have to swipe your ticket outside to enter and then pay before returning to your car in an enclosed car park with no staff or surveillance and swiping your ticket again so that the main gates will open. and let you out. I found it quite an unnerving experience and definitely would not recommend parking there if you are on your own."

"Very nice hotel just in front of the train station. But it was very quiet though. All was great, the personnel proposed us two connected rooms as we were with children and didn’t charge us for kids breakfast. The parking is in front of the hotel. That was nice. Would highly recommend it."

"Calm and well placed"

"The hotel is very good and the staff and services are excellent. No air conditioning in the room and a tolerable limit with the current canicule. The room was too small with the separate toilets. The spa is too "has been" a large lack of renovation (which is not the hotel's overall rating)"

"beautiful castle hotel, very nice honest humble service, very helpful, great breakfast beautiful gardens, great place to escape the noise of the town; swimming pool summer"
