"The room was simple, old, hot and stuffy. I couldn't sleep without the fan. The carpet felt dirty. Maybe it wasn't dirty, but it felt like that to me. There was only one employee at the front desk to handle check-in, check-out and other matters, just like a guesthouse. The room I was given was in a corner at first. After going up and down the elevator, I had to carry the suitcase and climb 2 flights of stairs. What's worse is that there was a wall outside the window. I couldn't see anything inside or outside the room. It was dark and damp. My vacation turned into a prison cell. I didn't book the lowest price, so I couldn't live in this room. I told Ctrip, and Ctrip said I needed to contact the agent. I didn't get any results for a long time, so I went to the front desk to ask for a room change. The new room I was given was a room with a window facing the hotel entrance. The curtains had to be closed during the day, and there was no shower room. It was still inconsistent with the order. In order to keep a holiday mood, I didn't ask for anything else and barely made do for 2 nights, and then checked out decisively. There were not many guests staying in the hotel, and half of the small breakfast room was empty. Even so, why couldn't they arrange a more satisfactory room for the guests? No wonder there were not many guests staying in the hotel."

"Stayed for a night over the bank holiday weekend! Friendly staff at check in and out. Plenty of tea and coffee and room spotlessly clean! Cannot fault it!"

"Overall the hotel is fine. Parking is convenient. The only thing I would point out is the shower is not hot in our room and breakfast is simple - which is fine but the spoon, knife etc are not very clean."

"I was treated to a night here by my wife as a birthday present, and already want to go back. The staff from check in to the bar to the restaurant were all great. The grounds were stunning, the general atmosphere and buildings are amazing. Our “cosy” room was small but for just one night it was fine. We would book a bigger room next time as we know now how small it is, but the bed, the shower the linen etc were all very good."
