"Located close to Warrington Central station and bus station. The hotel is clean and comfy although if your room is on the railway side there is some train noise. However, there were two things that lets it down. 1) the shower in my room had poor pressure/temperature. 2) I arrived at 9.30pm and the front desk was unmanned. When the receptionist finally arrived she simply gave me the key, no welcome, no explanation how to get to my room. At 8.30 the next day the reception was again unmanned so I couldn’t comment about the shower. In summary, good location, nice room but let down by poor maintenance and ineffective staff."

"The hotel is definitely in the prime location of the town center with easy access to all the nice cafes and restaurants. Visited Warrington during the Creamfields weekend and therefore the hotel was more overpriced than usual. Clean towels were provided but there were no amenities such as the toothpaste or cotton pads so make sure you pack your own. No complimentary bottled water either, had to buy them from the restaurant downstairs. Good for short period of stay."

"Even though we paid in full, we still had to pay an additional £150 deposit through a third party which felt like a scam. We have been told this refund has been processed, but there is no proof or invoice. We didn't get the codes for entry until we called them and pressed for them 15 minutes before arrival, though they reassured us they were automatically sent they couldn't tell us when apart from that it would be before check in at 3pm. The property was really unclean and could do with a serious update. The walls had lots of scrapes and marks, the furniture looked cheap and like it was going to fall apart. There was one pillow per person. The blinds in the roof windows were cheap and folded when pulling down at night time. There was dust and cobwebs, unclean bathroom, the toilet in the ensuite didn't flush properly, extractor fans didn't work, there wasn't a seal on the shower screen over the bathroom so water leaked everywhere, and the place had a funny smell. It wasn't great at all. Would highly recommend to look somewhere else!!"

"We had a wonderful stay at The School House; we were greeted with a very warm welcome by the amusing Garry. Our room was so clean, and the linen smelt so good (I love a bit a fabric conditioner!). There were lots of nice touches like the curtains and lights put on in our room, so we weren't scrabbling around in the dark when we came back later in the evening. Though Andy still managed to fall down some stairs, he is rather clumsy! The breakfast was delicious and home cooked. If we are in the area, we would stay again. Thank you for making our weekend so much fun."

"I booked hotel accommodation with free breakfast for two people. After breakfast, the restaurant charged £10 per person, totaling £20. I checked the bill and found out that a simple English breakfast was an upgraded breakfast, and the free breakfast was just a cup of hot coffee! £20 for two breakfasts in a hotel is not expensive, but it's hard to understand that the free breakfast is a cup of hot coffee per person! This was a very bad experience, something I have never seen in over 40 years of staying in a hotel! I suggest that the hotel should list on the booking website that the accommodation comes with two free cups of morning coffee to avoid guests thinking that the hotel is cheating!"

"My friend booked this two bedroom.apartment in a converted non-Catholic formet Church. It was about 15 minutes slow walking with a suitcase from Warrington Bank Quay railway station, and slightly further to Warrington Central. The entry process was complex: three different codes for front, inner and apartment doors. It was on three levels, accessed via a narrow carpeted staircase. My bedroom and en suite was clean but hot water did not work due to a defective boiler. My friend's en suite had an electric shower over bath with OK hot water. An email sent did not receive confirmation the problem would be fixed. Nor did the heating work. WiFi worked well as did the blackout blind. The bed was comfortable. The washing machine was in the kitchen, standard as a quirk of England. It both washed and dried. Unless the hot water is fixed, I cannot recommend staying here."

"Been staying here now for over 2 years as I travel up from the Midlands to work in the area. Hotel is very clean & well kept. Breakfasts are nice with plenty to choose from hot or cold & set in a nice seated area. The rooms are always spotless & well presented. The staff are very welcoming & attentive to guests requirements ( I work nights so have a rooms at the end of corridors so no foot fall outside mine) which they always remember. Nadia, Daria & Ann on days always have a smile on their face when checking in & are conversational. Colin, Stephen & Zach on nights give me an early morning greeting when I come back, in the early hours of the morning. Would definitely recommend staying here for a quality night's sleep, access to motorway & town centre amenities."
