Staff was excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was a plus

We asked for an extra bed in the room but no bedding was provided despite us asking for it multiple times before getting there. Had to call after arriving and the bed sheet wasn’t clean and even had holes. At night the room can get quite loud from noise on the street and we could hear our neighbors. Overall the service was great though.

I choose thus location because it was close to everything and the rate was really good. It is literally 1.5 blocks from the front of the white house, and walking distance from the monuments and museums. Maybe a 15 minute walk from the capital building and the Supreme Court. When i come back i will be staying here agin because of the convenience of the location. They have a rooftop bar with some excellent bartenders, all the staff was very friendly and always had a smile. Even the housekeeper crew says "good morning" to you.

I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel seemed to be in good order, and the room met our expectations. I was a bit worried after reading some June/July 2024 reviews, but was using points and only needed one night stay for a nearby event. The staff was attentive and easy to work with. The room was clean. The rooftop bar was a nice plus. By only negative was that the only parking option was valet and it was a bit pricey, but realize parking is at a premium in most cities. It was nice to just pull up to the curb, unload and go about our business and same when we left.

Positives - the location is perfect for site seeing (walking distance to most of the main sites, subway and bus stop nearby). The hotel is clean, well maintained, the beds are so comfortable (we loved laying down here after walking throughout the day), good air conditioning unit, and nice bathroom. Check in and check out were incredibly quick and easy, and we could leave our bags without any issues. The staff were all friendly. Negatives - the breakfast is too busy and feels more stressful than relaxing, you can just about get a table (this wasn't on the weekend), and the choices are average quality. The rooftop bar doesn't have a view of the national mall (not their fault but just something to bear in mind). The standard king room we stayed in had one window with frosted glass facing a brick wall, so we couldn't see anything and had no natural light - we didn't spend too much time in the room in the day so this was fine but again something to bear in mind if you want a view. Overall 4 stars as I would happily stay here again based on them getting the important things right - location, comfort, cleanliness, friendliness. But the breakfast and windows in the rooms could be improved.

Went home with 15 bed bug bites after staying one night. Breakfast area extremely small compared to other dining areas in competitors. No seating around 8:00.
