Homewood Suites by Hilton Washington DC Convention Center

Very convenient and all the personnel was very kind. Only small hiccup was that I did not found a space to park the car in the hotel and had to leave it in a near by parking lot.

Parking was a little annoying! The hotel is on a busy street so loading in and out caused a little jam. But everything else was great! Room was clean and the staff was great! Diamond at front desk is literally the best!

Where to start? First of all, I had to change rooms due to AC issues. I was given points for the inconvenience Room: The rooms are filthy dirty. Both rooms I stayed in had very dirty carpets and sofa covered with stains. There is a fake nail in the back of the sofa in room 808. The cleaning crew does the bare minimum (surface cleaning).  The kitchen did not have any pots and pan, nor utensils. When I asked, they said they run out of it. The stove is filthy dirty. They should change those to electric cooktops. The spiral is a bad idea for a hotel (cleaning wise) The Bathroom shower cabinet has dirt and water stains. This made me really anxious and regret my choice. The room windows let in water when it was raining and for me that was it. I had to get out of there. I was supposed to stay for two months but I only stayed for 8 days.  Laundry room had washing machines that were out of service and a third small one that smelled like mold. Only one dryer was working for the whole hotel.  The reception's chairs should be changed (beside the dirt and stains they were in bad shape) The reception staff were very nice however I was surprised they did not ask me why I was leaving earlier than my check out date. I never leave reviews because, but I could not let this one pass. The hotel is located on a very busy highway and the nights are so noisy with sirens all the time. Never again!

Though the staff tried to make my stay better, th eonline Booking company « E » and Homewood Suites had an issue among themselves which left me first without reservations, and secondly, had me put in a room that was neither the size nor standard that I paid for through the online booking company « E »The staff contacted me a couple times by room phone but only responded to one of my requests, I asked for towels and was "tossed" 17 towels by the house man. This was supposed to be a vacation. It was quite the opposite. I have a cute allergies to dogs and cats. I requested a pet free room. It was like staying in a kennel. I would not recommend anyone stay at Homewood Suites nor would I recommend anyone use ******* to book a getaway.
