The only downside was that we had to get the front desk to unlock our door with their card every time we wanted to open it, which was a bit inconvenient."

"It was low season when I arrived (early May) so I was the only guests. The new owners don’t speak any English, but check-in and everything went smoothly. Rooms have all the amenities you need and were clean. Hotel is close to all the sights on walking distance including some good restaurants. I didn’t try the restaurant of the hotel itself so can’t say much about that."

"The hotel is high-end with excellent facilities. The rooms are clean, and there's both ground-level and underground parking. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. It's close to Labrang Monastery, within walking distance. The nearby pedestrian street has lots of great food options, and the ******* cuisine is quite good."

"I enjoyed my stay in Xiahe and in this hotel. The furnishings and amenities are not new ( in fact the toilet wash basin was detached from its mountings and there was a water drainage issue). There is no climate control but this would be common in places like this @ 3000m altitude where spring/summer temperatures range between 5°C to 15 or 22°C, so it isn't needed. The room boasts a great view of the river, the bed was comfortable, there is a kettle and free water supplied and a strong wifi signal. Labrang monastery is a 20 minute walk and the bus station is 15 minutes away. The best thing about this accommodation though is the attractive restaurant/bar/bistro. I dined and drank there every night. The Lhasa and Shangri-la beers are decent, as are the coffee, the pasta, the potato chips, and.pizza."

"I’ve had an AMAZING stay in XiaHe. The house is extremely beautiful and the hosts extremely friendly. There even was a blanket warmer for the cold nights ! It is 10min walk from the Monastery and very convenient."
