Wozha Guesthouse
"Cosy traditional hotel near river and next to the main street. Lovely decorated hotel and the room. Room was large. Quiet. 10 minutes walk to the monastery."
Yano International Camping Park
"The stay was great and we really enjoyed the nature and atmosphere of this magical place. Nothing to complain about, the staff was very nice and helpful"
Shangu Homestay (Yagetang Branch)
"I had an amazing time. The family and their friends were extremely caring and attentive, and spent much of the time showing me around the nearby monastery, teaching me how to make incense, how traditional ******* painting worked etc. The food was also excellent and plentiful, and the rooms decorated in a beautiful traditional style. An all-round fantastic experience. I am certainly hoping to come back again."
Akzoba Camp
"The facilities are new and clean, the boss is hospitable, the scenery is pleasant, suitable for relaxation and stargazing. But because there is no air conditioning, it will be a bit cold in early June, and it should be more comfortable in July and August. I will come again if I have the chance."
Xiahe Hailuo Xuanpu Hotel
"We had originally booked the Mingzhu International Hotel across the street, but our driver said it was newer. After checking in, we regretted it immensely. We finished our activities at Labrang Monastery around 4 PM and checked into the hotel. We booked a relatively large deluxe room, but a wave of heat hit us as soon as we entered. I was on the phone at the time, and while looking for the air conditioner, I couldn't find it, and neither could my friend. After hanging up, we asked the front desk, and they said there was no air conditioning, we didn't need it, and there were no fans either. We then looked at similar rooms, and they were just as hot. Because this room faced west-northwest, it was the perfect spot for the hottest part of the day. We couldn't open the curtains, and we were soaked in sweat. The room across the street was a bit cooler, but the street view made it unsuitable for me to sleep on, requiring sleeping pills. The window could only be opened as shown in the picture, and with the screen open, we came back from dinner to find it full of small insects. On the way, we went to the Mingzhu Hotel across the street, which was actually better and cheaper, with spacious rooms, and the east-facing rooms weren't facing the street. The room was still stuffy at 9-10 PM, with no way for the heat to escape. So we slept with the window open. The excellent design was evident; picture 7 shows the electric curtains. When you close the curtains and press sleep mode, the lights turn off. We opened the electric curtains, and all the lights near the window were on; there was nowhere to switch them on. As an insomniac, I had to sleep with the window open and the lights on (using a pillow to block out the light) and three sleeping pills. The blanket was thick, but I couldn't use it. Breakfast ended at 9:30 am, but when we went at 8:40 am, most of the rooms were empty, and there was nothing left. They fried two eggs at our request. Of course, I don't know when I'll come back to this kind of hotel again. I also don't know how the hotel copes with the heat in the summer when most rooms don't have air conditioning, especially the second most expensive room type (the most expensive suite). I won't come back, so I'll never know."
Xiahe Marmot Resort & Hotel
"The hotel is in a great location, across from a prairie with plenty of attractions. Since I checked in late, I missed out on the bonfire and other extras. The room was quite new, though the cleanliness was a bit poor. The kettle was covered in ash, so I didn't dare use it. Breakfast was pretty standard: cabbage, shredded potatoes, and shredded carrots."
Gardon ·Nojigobo Estate
"Very good homestay, in a small alley, but it does not affect the luggage at all. Before you arrive, you will call the hotel and there will be someone to pick up the luggage. The room is also very refreshing and clean, walk into about 100 meters The homestay is very intimate, the small hot pot in the homestay tastes great, and the children like it very much. The waiters at the homestay are very dedicated and patient to answer questions for us. I will definitely stay here next time I come back. It is highly recommended."
Xiongkong Guesthouse
"The environment is super nice, but there are more or less bugs in the pasture."
Ganjia Eco Campsite
"An absolutely wonderful glamping experience! Currently, it's not too crowded. The hotel manager upgraded our room and guided us to the location beforehand, also reserving dinner for us. We heard a family member had a headache, and they thoughtfully brought an oxygen tank. The room was clean and tidy, definitely top-notch among guesthouses and glamping sites in Gannan. In the mornings, sheep graze around the hotel grounds, which feels incredibly natural. Guests arriving by car can enjoy free entry to Bajiao Ancient City and Baishiya Scenic Area. From the hotel, you can even see the spectacular Baishiya in Gan Jia Mi Jing. Each room also receives spring water from Mount Amigonghong. This place is truly a beautiful, sacred, and secluded wonderland!"
