I had originally wanted to try the hot spring, but it was too cold when I went, so I didn't get to, which was a bit of a shame. However, this minor drawback doesn't overshadow the fact that everything else was great."

"After spending too long in the city, I yearned to immerse myself in nature, to let the forest fill my lungs, feeling like every breath sprouted green leaves. For this holiday, I didn't want to travel far. I was looking for a place with comfortable accommodation, friendly vibes, and opportunities for a bit of self-amusement. I chose Xingxiu Wuling Mountain Residence, located at the border of Miyun and Chengde. It was about a two-hour drive heading north. The resort environment was very pleasant, and the accommodation was incredibly comfortable. We could start the day by hiking to the countryside beacon tower, have lunch at the hotel, and then head to Wuling West Peak for some rafting in the afternoon – so refreshing and relaxing. It was the perfect mountain staycation, sleeping amidst stars and forests, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and plants, soaking in the 20°C summer air."
