Zhangjiajie Hotels with Gym

Unbelievable fantastic experience! This hotel is just opposite the cable car station sitting beside a food street with supermarket behind and several 24/7 convenient stores around. But location is the least point to mention. Traveling with seniors and kids is always challenging. Due to the miscommunications, we initially booked wrongly and luckily the reception team helped us to communicate with Trip.com and settled it down without any hiccups. Besides that, the reception lady - Alice (WeChat name is Soda Water) added me in WeChat as our butler, and she did respond to my requests promptly and arranged things nicely. Really appreciate it! Lastly, this hotel also provides some snacks at night which is a surprise to us. 🥰

We had a wonderful stay at the Pullman. George from the concierge was very helpful in booking our tickets. The location is fantastic, close to East Gate, with major attractions just a few kilometers away. Although we hired a Didi, it's also possible to walk to these attractions. The western food section in the restaurant could use some improvement; the pizza tasted more like cheese on bread than an actual pizza. However, the breakfast buffet was quite nice. We definitely recommend this place for families, as the pool is great for both kids and adults after a long day of walking.

We recently enjoyed a fantastic one-week stay at the Harmona Spa and Resort in Zhangjiajie, and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the personalized service made us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with logistics, arranging everything from tickets to transportation, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. The 24/7 attention was impeccable, and the beautiful location and facilities added to the charm of the resort, we got a feeling of Avatar 2.0 One highlight was the great variety offered at breakfast, which we thoroughly enjoyed each morning. Both of the resort’s restaurants served excellent food, adding to our overall dining pleasure. A special mention goes to the staff members who made our stay exceptional: Johnny and Shan received us warmly on the night we arrived, Cherry and Monica, who not only provided excellent service but also entertained us with their beautiful singing and fun personalities; Pink, who was incredibly helpful, proactive in planning our activities, and quick to resolve any issues T hank you to Mao Mengfan, who hosted us with an amazing barbecue at Flower Valley, Luna from the Chinese restaurant, who provided amazing service; Nikki and Fenfen from the front desk, who were always welcoming and efficient; and Josie from the bar, who made our karaoke night unforgettable with creative cocktails. Lastly, big thank you to Mr. Li who took great care of our luggage, ensuring it reached the airport when we couldn't return from Tianmen Mountain in time. The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to Tinamen Mountain cable car (10 minute walk), and close to many restaurants. We got a room upgrade to a very big, comfortable and clean room. The breakfast is excellent, delicious traditional chinese cuisine. The hotel haas a travel agency (where we booked tickets to the national park saving us the lines), money exchange service and several grocery stores. Overall everything was good except for a very unpleasant interaction with the staff. We had an early train in the morning and we asked at the front desk to help us book a taxi in advance. The entire staff, none of them speaks english obviously, 5 people started to make fun of us in chinese for several minutes, eventually telling us to to catch a taxi on the road at 5 in the morning. What is so funny about asking the hotel staff to call a taxi? It was very humiliating, this hotel clearly does not care for its foreign guests. I've stayed in several hotels in China, never have I experienced anything similar. Additionaly, since we checked out before breakfast the hotel refused to provide us with any appropriate compensation, offering us a bottle of water and a piece of bread. Cannot recommend this hotel.

The two men who work at this hotel were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast soup was delicious! A must try. The room was a good size and was comfortable, however it could have done with so thorough cleaning. The pool was a great way to wind down after a long day of walking in the heat!! All in all a lovely stay.

Great place. Absolutely fantastic. We didn’t have a room with a perfect view but we had an amazing room nonetheless and was surrounded by the beautiful mountains. And the clerks were amazing. Truly helpful and friendly with everything. If you’re travelling talk to the taxi drivers (provided you can speak Chinese) they can help you organise a lot better than any travel agent as they know the city. And this was amazing advice the clerks also confirmed.

The hotel is close to the east gate of Wulingyuan and historic interest area. It’s very convenient to start your trip from here. It’s a 10min walk from the bus station that takes you to the Grand Canyon and zhangjiajie. The streets with the shops are 1-2km walking. They have many choices for breakfast. Different vegetables, noodles, bread, eggs, fruit etc. Even cornflakes and toast if you only like western food. They change it a bit everyday which is nice. The room was good and they cleaned it every day. Only underneath the bed it was dusty. The room had automatically opening curtains and airco. I would recommend this hotel. The staff does not speak English so if you don’t speak a little Chinese it might be a little inconvenient.

Very good location for cable car. Line A. Loved staying here, good staff and friendly also breakfast very nice and the ladies also friendly and helpful. Atour is very good hotel to stay enjoyed the well trained staff, good service. Compliments. Thank you Atour, will choose for Atour again for sure next destination.

This hotel was OK as far as amenities but I gave it 2 stars because many things in the room were broken.  Only the handheld shower head turned on, not the overhead rain shower. The shower leaked water into the toilet area, the light on the vanity mirror was broken. Most annoyingly, the air conditioner only turned down to about 24.5° and would not go lower. We were so hot at night trying to sleep. Other than those things the room was quite comfortable, especially the bed. Staff were also very friendly. The breakfast was OK.  If you are looking for the western options at the buffet, they had fried eggs, bacon, sausage/hot dogs, fresh fruit, cheap coffee, and sliced bread. The Chinese breakfast options were plentiful.

During our visit to China, we stayed at the ‘Mr Sean Castle’ hotel from 29 July to 1 August 2024. The hotel is named after ‘Sean the Sheep’ (the character being a favourite of the owner apparently) and, being British, we thought this quirky theme was brilliant… you can see various models of Sean dotted around the hotel. The hotel was absolutely fabulous and the staff were all so friendly. As part of our reason for visiting China was to celebrate a 50th birthday, the Mr Sean Castle hotel kindly gave us an upgraded room, which was amazing. The hotel is in a great location close to downtown Zhangjiajie, but just far enough away to ensure you have a quiet and very peaceful night’s sleep away from any outside noise. The food at the hotel is first-class, including a great variety of delicious choices for breakfast. The hotel has an amazing open-air roof-top garden that is packed with beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees… it’s truly breathtaking to see, and was an amazing place to sit and eat as we watched a phenomenal lighting storm play out over the Zhangjiajie mountain range that forms the incredible backdrop to the hotel’s view over the river to the rear. As stated above, the hotel staff were fantastic, but particular thanks go to ‘Scarlett’ (张思嘉) for her assistance in helping us to arrange the tickets we needed to visit Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon… she sorted everything out for us and without her knowledge and help, our trip would definitely not have been as amazing as it was… thank you again Scarlett! We would fully recommend the Mr Sean Castle hotel to anyone planning to visit Zhangjiajie, and will definitely stay there again if we ever come back to the amazing city of Zhangjiajie… which is highly likely!
