Everything was fine until the end. In comparison to other hotels I stayed at throughout my trip, this one is cleaner and more spacious. It's close to Tokyo Station, so it's easy to get to other areas, even if it took me quite a while to figure out their operation and routes. The hotel will be cleaned one time every three days. So, generally, it will not be cleaned throughout your stay. However, you can request that they change the towels every day. The check-in and check-out processes were straightforward, however the machine did not accept my Visa card - this is the only site in Japan that did. The hotel also helped you store your belongings before and after check-in/out. However, I was discriminated against by one of the hotel's employees when sending the luggage after checkout. Before me, he stayed near the check-in/checkout machine, assisting a Japanese couple with the checkout procedures and handling the bags. So I waited, thinking he also approached me to assist. However, after assisting the couples, he did not approach me and came back to the counter. Then I beckoned him to his assistance. Instead, he hailed me with his fingertips to come over his counter, rather say anything like “Please come over the counter to do the procedure”. It shocked me. Furthermore, the way he handled my luggage request was really unpleasant. When I asked for his name because I didn't see it on his tag, he became more agitated. So that is why I requested him to write his name on the receipt card. How is it possible for him to treat people so differently? Should Japanese people be treated more respectfully under the hotel's policy? After my interaction with him, all of my positive feelings about the hotel vanished.

Staff Are very attentive and quick, they are able to assist you in English too if you can't communicate in Japanese. Transport is easy as it is located about 10-15 minutes away from Kyoto Station which has Shinkansen/JR trains/bus available. Given a cozy room with various options of daily cleaning (none/basic/partial/full) main difference being if you want the bathtub to be washed / bed to be made, so you can hang it by your door to notify the crew accordingly.

However, it's worth mentioning that the onsen's operating hours are relatively limited, closing at 11 pm nightly, with only two hair dryers available. Upon entering the room, I was pleasantly surprised by its spaciousness—ample enough to accommodate three luggage pieces comfortably. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the bathtub affording breathtaking views of the hotel's surroundings, perfect for soaking in the beauty of sunrise or sunset. Complete with access to YouTube and Netflix, the room provided ample entertainment options. For a delightful treat, indulge in soft-serve ice cream from the cafe adjacent to the hotel—an ideal conclusion to a day of exploration. The bed exuded comfort, while the addition of a sofa near the entrance provided a convenient spot to unwind without soiling the bedding with outdoor attire. Overall, while Ala Hotel Kyoto may lack certain amenities, its spacious accommodations, strategic location, and reasonable pricing make it a standout choice for travelers seeking tranquility and convenience in equal measure.

Location is great. Walking distance to places we visited as well as the Subways and bus stops. Room is clean and fontdesk personnel were helpful. Can leave luggages after checkout time. They have two coin operated laundry machines that you can use.

It's quiet and easy to spend because it's one station from Kyoto Station. The location is also near the station, and it's easy to understand that you can reach it in just a few minutes from the station. Parks, aquariums and railway museums are also nearby, so you can play with your children. There is a large communal bath, but personally, the hot water is lukewarm and unsatisfactory. It was amazing breakfast, I think I can eat different food everyday and won’t be bored! You can make yourself coffee, matcha, tea or any other beverages, can make it with ice so on. Seriously, I was surprised about your food service, I have to mention about evening ramen for everyone, it was nice to eat after visiting onsen, I also grab an iced late after. In the resting area near the onsen gate there is free ice cream and diary beverages.

宮津駅より徒歩で10分程かかり、天橋立へ3km程の距離があり、宮津市街地唯一のコンビニエンスストアにも徒歩で10分程度要する場所にあるホテルです。周辺環境の状況から利用しづらい印象を持つと思いますが、だからこそかもしれませんが、平日休日問わず周辺は静かで、大声でおしゃべりするような宿泊客もおらず、非常に快適に滞在できるホテルだと思います。ホテルのスタッフも一様に丁寧な接客で、気さくに声をかけてくれるものの、必要以上に距離を詰めてくるような接し方はしません。 ロビーから客室に至るまで、清潔さが保たれているのは言わずもがな、設備やアメニティも無駄が無くよくまとまっています。客室への入室時のカードキーをかざすセンサーが分かりづらい、客室の電気系統がやや分かりづらい（入口のスイッチは、部屋全体の電気系統のオンとオフを切り替えるもののようです）、バスルームはバスタブが無くシャワーのみ（且つ大浴場が無い）、という注意点がありますが、それ以外は全く申し分はありません。 1階のロビーには待ち合わせスペースの他、共用のキッチンのようなスペースがあり（シンクがあるだけで実際の調理は出来ません）、宿泊客に対し無料でコーヒーを始めとするドリンクのサービスが提供されています（全て無料です）。 殆どの宿泊客が車で利用するからか、充分な広さの駐車場が備わっている上、ホテルの目の前には高速バスのバス停があるため、京都などからの高速バスを利用してのホテルの利用も非常に便利です。 周辺は飲食店がいくつかありますが、上記の通りコンビニエンスストアはこのホテルよりやや遠いところにあります。一方でホテルの北（徒歩2～3分程度）のところにショッピングモールがありますので、食糧調達に殊更不便、ということは無いと思います。周辺環境にやや難はあるものの、ホテル自体は素晴らしく、何度も利用したくなるホテルです。 It takes about 10 minutes on foot from Miyazu Station, about 3 km to Amanohashidate, and about 10 minutes on foot to the only convenience store in Miyazu city center. You can hunt for cherry blossoms! Morning and night Viking (perfect for me of partial food) I chose this for hot springs and these reasons. After going to Amanbashi Tachi, I made a cherry blossom hunt (reservation in advance) and checked in. The hotel is in a good location along the ASO Sea and access from the station is also very good.
