Good environment, good service attitude and nice scenery

I stayed here during my stay in Baku and was really impressed with the hotel. The service at reception is warm, welcoming & helpful. The room was located on the 5th floor and well presented & very comfortable bed (which I needed as I was exhausted after sightseeing and travelling from neighbouring Georgia). The breakfast is plentiful and the hotel is located 5 minutes walk from Nizami Street & 15 minutes to the seafront. I would stay here again!

First what I want to mention that is location is very good almost everything is nearby, Ilkin from reception have helped us a lot during our stay and was super friendly. He has suggested us nice places to visit as well which we loved. Breakfast was fine not so many options but the guy at the breakfast was super kind and helpful, his name is also Ilkin. Murad from bell team very supportive and with good manners, Sadakat housekeeping supervisor with her team helped us so many times with our inquiries. And their manager very humble and good mannered guy whom you can ask for any help without hesitation which he can assist you to solve. We had some issue with the room on the first day and Ilkin helped us to move to another room within the next day. There is some construction works in front of the hotel right now which disturbs sometimes and won’t let you enjoy with sea view. We had reserved the room for 2 days from 30th of April until 2nd of May, but during our stay we decided to extend until 6th of May because location is really good. Hotel team should work on their foodcourt to make it better.

I had a great stay at ibis Baku on my trip to Baku, this was my 2nd trip and 2nd stay at the same hotel, rooms are still refreshing and looks quite new and updated, every other facilities are available which is mandatory , the staff is courteous and helpful in all the aspects. My special thanks to Mr. Bashir ( Duty Manager) for helping me and assisting through out the stay. He really goes out of his way to make sure the guests are happy and satisfied. Thanks to the other team members namely - Rufat and Naila as they kept meeting me all the time when I was at hotel during my stay, Overall a decent stay to remember and would definitely be coming again and again once I am in Baku again. The hotel is surrounded by wealthy areas, very safe, the hotel has complete facilities, just bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, and there are many types of breakfast. The overall feeling is worthy of the price. It is not convenient to eat and shop around.

I don’t normally take the time to review places but considering that they market themselves as a 5 star hotel I want to make sure other people considering this hotel know what to expect at least. For context We stayed in this hotel for a week as a family (2 kids) in a connecting family room. First off when we arrived and checked in, the guy at reception said they would check our documents and to please wait in their restaurant. We ordered some drinks and waited. Meanwhile suddenly they start blasting Indian music so loud in the restaurant (it was only us and another family there) that we had to go ask them if they could please turn it back down again. I don’t know for who or why they put the music on so loud. This also happened when we ate breakfast one morning. After maybe 20 minutes we went to ask reception how check in was going and were only told that “they were checking”. We decided to go and get some late lunch since we didn’t know how long we needed to wait for them to “check” whatever they were checking. If the room wasn’t ready, it wouldn’t have been a problem if they simply said so and gave us a time frame for when it would be ready. But this was a taste of the service to come unfortunately. We had a connecting family room that had one bathroom to share. The master bedroom had only a window which was a small and by the ceiling facing out into the hallway (so no external window) which meant it was like sleeping with lights on all night as the hallway light were always on. In this case perhaps a curtain for that window would be good or installing sensor lights in the hallway so the light isn’t on unless someone is there. The rooms were SO warm and when we went to check about the air conditioning they told us it wasn’t working or they didn’t have it. (Not sure which was the correct answer) They couldn’t give us a straight answer. They told us the heating had been on the night before but that they had now switched it off and allowed for “air” instead. So whatever control you have in your room is basically useless. When we asked if they could allow for the air conditioning to be turned on they just told us they would sort it out but nothing got done. We had to sleep with the only external window open during the night so at least our kids could be more comfortable. Other important things to note - we got 2 towels for 4 people. We asked them to bring 2 more which wasn’t done. Only when we saw a cleaner outside in the hallway one evening (3 nights into our stay) did we get 2 more. - there was no cleaning the whole week. We asked for more water, asked if someone would come to at least remove the garbage and they told us they would send someone but never did. - as shown in the photos, one of the single beds was broken underneath. - several sheets/duvet covers were broken, one example shown in the photos. - there was cigarette burns on the double bed headboard despite it being a non-smoking room. The front desk were reluctant to provide additional water bottles. I had the family suite booked and still they were reluctant to provide more than 2 bottles of water which was pretty annoying. The breakfast area was too crowded and I guess to address this the breakfast timing should be 7:00 to 10:30, closing up at 10:00 is making it too crowded between 9:30 and 10:00 and the moment it is 10:00 you will find the restaurant people winding and talking all things inside. Too much chaotic and rude.

I stayed at a corner suite with incredible view of city and sea. Hotel has several restaurants, bars and a spa. One thing is missing at this hotel which is service level. Im not completely sure if its locals attitude or training but most employees need serious work to match the hotel status. Front Desk in general are the most well trained team, however I went to the main restaurant once and it was horrible from the receptionist to the working team. Another disaster team serves at Bar19. Hostess nor bartender had no clue what screw driver cocktail was and didn’t bother to even google it!!! Bar team seamed completely clueless and lost. Spa receptionist is very unprofessional she just wants you to cancel instead of selling packages! Hotel itself is iconic property but it lacks vibe and class. I hope it will only gets better next time I visit Baku.

The hotel is very good in terms of cleanliness and services, but the breakfast needs to be improved in terms of varieties.

Helpful Personl, Wonderfull Hotel During my stay everything was perfect.Nice and comfortable rooms, small but sweety terrace and tasty meals. There is a small terrace in outside for drink something in the morning so felling better.Breakfast more turkish meals and snacks. Speacial personal so friendly and helpfull. Hotel near H.Aliyev international airport.
