Busan Hotels with Balcony

I booked this place over a month in advance, and it has a lovely modern-retro vibe, very cozy. The shower and toilet are separate, and it even comes with a Dyson hairdryer. The room feels different from a typical hotel room. On the ground floor is a coffee shop owned by the same person, which closes at 9 PM. You can use your card to enter and exit through the side door. Upon check-in, you get two complimentary Americanos (you can swap them for other drinks by paying the difference). It's very convenient if you're visiting Yeongdo, though it's a bit far from Gwangalli and Haeundae. Little surprises: 1. Toothpaste, toothbrushes, shower caps, etc., are provided. 2. The mini-fridge drinks and snacks are free. 3. A handwritten note and a creative cultural souvenir are gifted. Amenities: Convenience store: Across from the coffee shop. Shopping: Nampo-dong Walking Street, Lotte Department Store, Olive Young, etc. (10-minute walk). Restaurants: Many dining options nearby, and the owner also provides recommendations – check the check-in guide. Minor regrets: 1. The bed frame has sharp corners, and due to its placement, it's easy to accidentally bump into it. You need to be mindful of your walking path. 2. The separate shower room has no place to put clothes. I booked Room 2 this time; I wonder if other room types have a better layout. This place is very relaxing, perfect for a two-day getaway to clear your mind. The owner is also very enthusiastic. Afterwards, you can switch to another hotel in Haeundae or Gwangalli to enjoy the sea, explore attractions, and go shopping.

A excellent location with Exit 6 of subway to avoid stairs and only walk 2 minutes to go to the Hotel. Besides it is easy and nearby many attractions such as BIFF, Jagalchi fish market, Buoyeong Kkangtong market and so forth. Therefore, it is convenient for you dinning out with numerous choices around. The hotel room is spacious, cozy and cleanliness. The reception front desk staff are very polite, sincere and professional. The overall experience is wonderful and fanastic. However, one point that even we only take a shower with extra care and sure not splash water out. The water comes up around the gutter and leaking there so we need to put many towels on the floor to avoid slippery floor.

The location is great, with easy access to public transport and close to the subway station, making it convenient for getting around. The environment is clean. However, the bathroom drain is a bit slow, which causes a drain smell in the room.

The location is excellent. The hotel is conveniently situated near both Nampo Station and Jagalchi Station, making it easy to take the metro to different parts of Busan. It is also right beside BIFF Square, with plenty of restaurants and eateries within walking distance. There are two Daiso stores less than a 5-minute walk away, and a huge Olive Young outlet had just opened right beside the hotel during our stay, which was very convenient. The bed was comfortable, and the room was very clean. One of the biggest plus points was the water filter, which saved us the hassle of constantly buying bottled water. The washing machine and dryer were also brand new and worked very well. The view from the room was fantastic. Waking up to the view each morning really brightened up our day. We did not get daily housekeeping because the available cleaning schedule did not fit our plans. However, we did request fresh towels and rubbish collection every other day, which was sufficient for us. One downside was the location of the washing machine and dryer. They were situated right beside the beds and generated quite a lot of noise when operating, especially at night. This did disrupt our sleep on a few occasions. The building houses three different hotels, with all three receptions located on the 3rd floor. There was a security post on the ground floor, although we rarely saw anyone stationed there. That said, the building had numerous security cameras. The first floor was mostly vacant, with no shops operating there. There were rental signs for the retail spaces placed throughout the floor, which made the area feel somewhat unfinished. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, particularly because of the excellent location, cleanliness, comfortable bed, fantastic view, and useful in-room facilities.

View - If you are keen in wharf / harbor view, this hotel (see images) is along the harbour next to wharf, Songdo, so there is no beach on the wharf. At 4am you can hear commotion at the wharf, interesting for a different view from city or sea view. Nearest Songdo beach is still at distance, it is not at door step. Booked a large room for family of 4, comes with 1 Queen bed, 1 single, the last pax ended on the floor with Futons. (Although I indicated i had 4 pax, housekeeper does not seem to be aware, replenishes only for 3 pax?). Small hand towels are issued as bath towel, just be aware. Quite common for smaller hotel accommodation here (inn, AirBnB). Floor heater, water heater works, daily housekeeping. Has bath tub not used at all for winter. Good balcony for sitting in the cold to watch the wharf bustle. Pax using futon had a few bites by bugs, not sure if flew in from outside the room, else the room is clean. Nice open terrace at roof top with telescope to look into Lotte mall at distance, and the open sea after the bridge on the right. Complimentary breakfast offering at basement kitchen is available until 9AM (not 9.30am) - kitchen staff will remind you to finish up at close to 9am, and please clear your dishes at collection area, discard leftovers, return cultery, utensils. Breakfast spread : Cereal with milk (only on weekend), ONE slice of toast with jam, egg/s, one fruit or yoghurt, one coffee/tea, ONE juice, one instant noodles (if you want). Only tried for first morning, other mornings has similar menu on the wall. Staff - looks like husband wife team. Friendly to greet at reception at upper level. Safety wise - As accommodation is located at harbour with large prime movers and containers movements, it is better to travel in groups to look out for each other. I note the drivers are generally careful to look out for pedestrians on the harbour, wharf. Can be a bit dark at night in the surrounding area of the accommodation. Plus point - Double entrance door which allow you to lock inner door in case main door is being accessed externally. Location - About 20mins or so by bus to Busan shopping area where the crowd is. Not too far, The more popular tourist spots, beach sites is further up northeast at Haeundae beach, which is about 1 hour bus ride away. Pricing -, for the pricing, there are better known hotel chains going at more economic rates. So need to do proper research before booking. Else pleasant stay, simple, large room, no fanfare.

The hotel is right next to the subway, which makes getting around very convenient. Even though there are many small karaoke rooms downstairs, it doesn't feel chaotic, and it's quiet at night. There are plenty of convenience stores, an Olive Young, and various restaurants around the apartment building, which is really handy. The room is apartment-style, not huge, but it worked well for my child and me. It's fully equipped with a washing machine, microwave, fridge, and induction cooker. The front desk service was excellent; there's a Chinese-speaking receptionist during the day, which made communication easy. They provide a limited amount of complimentary drinking water, which you can pick up from the front desk. While there's no room cleaning service, they provide plenty of garbage bags and toilet paper, which I think is great.

We loved our stay at The First Ocean Gwangan! The location was great. We had a good view of Gwangalli Beach and the stunning Gwangan Bridge. It took us less than 10mins to walk from the nearest metro station. There were bus stops and plenty of shops and eateries nearby. The room was clean and had all the amenities that we needed. We really appreciated having a washer in the room. The bathroom was small. Response from staff were fast and helpful. Check in and out were easy. Luggage storage was available for early arrivals. Just follow the instructions given by the staff.

Im a first timer in busan, saw a travel blog sharing this hotel location and service is great and pricing is afforable. I paid about 150 per night for double room (for 2pax). Encounter quite a few issues but because one of the staff (a young man) his service is the best there and it provide me some comfort. 1) bath towel shortage I was given face towel x2 as a replacement for bath towel. I only know this after i ask on the 2nd day. I also mentioned there were no bottle drinks replaced. So when someone come over and pass me, he told me no more bath towel and gave me 2 x face towel and a semi wet bath towel. Then he wanted to come in and see if i lied about the mineral water. When he open the fridge he saw the drinks (3 bottled) and say there is drink but these were yesterday ones and i asked for 1 only. From what i see, when they come in clean the room, of the room still have water and towel they will not replace or they will replace half? 2) staff being rude There was this guy, probably middle age i encounter him on 4 Apr night time, i went to inform no bath towel on the 1st day. The room only had 1 bath towel and 4x face towel. So counter dont know of the towel shortage. He give me a unhappy face and ask me ”so”, ”what you want”... im speechless and i dont want to spoil my holiday mood. I told him i will comw later to get and he says 1st come 1st serve he dont have so many at the counter. :( 3) no aircon This seems to be a norm for most hotel during cold season. So i had to open rhe balcony door and it was noisy. Anyway i will not come back to this hotel to stay but i must say the location is great. Just beside the traditional market and the stretch has loads of restuarant.

The hotel is already quiet old and need for renovation. The stuff was really well trained and polite. But the room was not such good. The toilet flush was weak, and it wasn't separated from the shower. The water in the shower was hot and the pressure was strong, but the drain was very poor and water accumulated, so I had to turn the shower down to the minimum setting to avoid flooding the room. The TV was hanging crooked on the wall, and I decided not to touch it because I was worried it might fall. The wallpaper and baseboards were heavily stained from splashes, and they themselves were already damaged. The hotel's greatest strengths are its location and its polite, well-trained, and friendly staff. However, it is in dire need of renovation.

The hotel is a bit old, but the room is spacious and faces the sea with a balcony. The location is convenient, close to the subway station, and it's easy to get a taxi right downstairs. There's also Lotte Department Store nearby, along with cafes and convenience stores.
