Excellent location with many retail shops and eateries around the area, within walking distance. Hospitality is as frigid and cold as the Beijing weather. From check-in to departure, everything was business-like and process-driven. Even if you were to offer a fee to buy a genuine smile from the staff, you’re unlikely to find any takers. Maybe the freezing weather had frozen their facial muscles. The hotel is named Friendship Hotel.. staff need to work a lot harder to live up to it.

Really like the location of the hotel, very convenient for getting around and for food. It is near the major subway station, where you can catch the Line 1 and Line 2 trains. There are multiple shopping centers near the hotel, within these shopping centers there are tons of choices of restaurants, some are open late in the evenings and some are famous chain restaurants, we found a few we really like. A couple minutes away is a local deli type restaurant, serving local breakfast. We ate there everyday for all the 5 days during our stay. The service at the hotel was excellent, everyone is eager to help and responsive. The room is clean and refreshing, waiting for us to relax after a long day sightseeing. The hotel room is quite and spacious, with separate bedroom, kitchen and general sitting area. Got a good view of the roof top garden from both of the windows. We really enjoyed our stay there.

This hotel houses the 2008 Olympic torch, what a coincidence! Staying here during the Olympics, I feel very lucky. It's an old hotel, built in 1959, with a great location and good breakfast. Xiao Liang at the front desk provided great service and gave me a custom bookmark. Thank you.

The location is super, in front of subway and just right the Conner with Wangfujing street, about 10 minutes walking to the Forbidden city. Room is small but clean and good sound proofing. Breakfast is tasty and offer a good variety of foods. They support us with free late checkout. Staffs don’t speak English but it’s not a problem because they use translator apps
