We had a fantastic stay with the kid's at The Sands Hotel, from the moment we arrived the owners Jon was very pleasant, the Guesthouse owners are so professional, friendly and welcoming, you would never guest how hard they really have to work, the property looks excellent and maintained to a high standard. Our room was a family room with en suite and was very satisfactory, the location couldn't be better 5 min walk into the town center & just opposite the south pier (fantastic for the kids) In the morning we were shown to our table the breakfast was excellent, cooked by Jon, it was an absolute pleasure to stay there, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone looking to stay in Blackpool, keep up the good work

I've just got back from this hotel and I enjoyed every minute, everything was spotless and the owners were very accommodating. We stayed in a small double, with power showers, I did think they had no hot water until I saw the switch for the showers lol. The beds were really comfortable and the bedding smelt nice and fresh. We will be back later this year thanks for a great stay.

THE SANDS HOTEL BLACKPOOL AVOID. Walked in and was met by building materials in the reception area. And the owner manager in pyjamas. The room was dirty. Top drawer of unit was like a used ashtray. Paper peeling off the ceiling and bathroom walls. Cobwebs all over bathroom walls. Rusty shower head holder and dirty shower cubicle. Had no working lamp and only 1 bedside cabinet. The wardrobe had bits of blue tack and what looked like chewing gum too.all stuck down one side.was told TV remote was broken and they hadn't replaced so had to spend 10inutes stood looking through channels finding something to watch using buttons on TV. Hospitality tray had 4 t bags 6 sugar and 6 milk in a double room and No coffee at all (I dnt drink tea). Was looked at like I'd asked for the world when I asked for more.with wasn't there any there as the comment manager made.Kettle stopped working so phoned to ask for replacement to get told there was no one to help as she was out and if I didn't' like having to wait till she came back to property I could always F off in my van and go Home. As apparently it's an unmanned hotel ?? Went to get the iron and board off the wall holder in the hallway to have it all fall off the wall onto me it pulled wall plugs out as we're not correct fixings for stud walling.iron landed on my foot.thankfully it was a small travel iron type thing so was just left with a bruise and pain when i put shoes on later.(no breaks). The room was cold as heating wasn't on long enough to make a difference. The sheet didn't look as though it had been changed as had body hair on it. We Was told to F off when I went to complain before I left .as it was us that had purposely broke kettle. Rude and very unprofessional

Hi we visited the sands Hotel this weekend. And to say we were disappointed was and understament. On arrival the person who checked in was friendly but upon inspecting our room the bathroom door was broken and under the bed was cracked and held up with a piece of wood. I also asked about the bar and was told it was closed as its the end of the season but there was no mention on there website. When we got up the morning we all tried to have a shower and when we tried to run the shower and got no hot water continuously kept trying but got none. The only good thing was that the room was clean but very outdated. I would not stay again.

The hotel feels very dated. Wallpaper was peeling off in the room, lights by the bed didn't work, tap in bathroom not plumbed in right so hot runs Cole and cold runs hot, curtains very thing and not hung correctly so letting light in. Room was cold.

My wife and I had an overnight stay in Blackpool with our 4 children at The Sands Hotel. When we arrived, we were knocking the front door for 15 minutes and calling them before somebody actually let us in. We were told we were on the top floor so the 6 of us climbed 4 flights of stairs to room 10. The room was in the attic area of the "hotel" and part of the roof had collapsed. The room itself had not been hovered, the floor was filthy and the smoke alarm kept beeping so I had to go back downstairs to get somebody to sort that out. There was no bulb in the light next to the bed and the shower room door was broken so there was little or no privacy when going into the shower room. Wallpaper was ripped from the wall and the owners hadnt even attempted to clean the shower as there was sand and hairs in it. Absolutely disgusting. I went back downstairs to try and talk to them but there was nobody to be seen. The most disturbing thing was when we were getting into bed, I tripped over a large bottle of half drank coke that was next to the bed and was from the previous guest. It is clear that the bed had not even been changed as they would have noticed it had them attempted to do so. An absolutely awful hotel. I complained to ******* who contacted the owners who were given all of the info above and were able to see the photographs I provided but were not interested in giving any refund at all. A crumbling wreck of a place - PLEASE STAY CLEAR!

Lovely hotel, very clean. Owners very friendly. I was lucky to get a room here after having to leave the disgusting the Camelot hotel next door, the owners of the sands say they always get people coming to them who have stayed their first.
