MM678967****This stay was absolutely fantastic! As soon as I landed, the airport pick-up driver contacted me proactively and was incredibly helpful with my luggage, treating me like family. The front desk staff were efficient with check-in and had such warm smiles. The breakfast spread was extensive, and I particularly loved the freshly cooked noodles and fresh fruit! The room was clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable sleep. The value for money is outstanding, I truly recommend it to everyone, and I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit! 👍

The service was excellent—staff were attentive, friendly, and always willing to help, which made our stay very comfortable.
The room was spotless, well-maintained, and felt very cozy, giving us great peace of mind.
The hotel’s strategic location made it easy to get around and access nearby attractions.
Breakfast was enjoyable with a good variety, fresh food, and pleasant presentation.

The room itself was a good size, maintaining the simple, clean, and cozy style characteristic of Ji Hotel. The soundproofing was a pleasant surprise too. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, which really helped alleviate travel fatigue.

They even have robots that can deliver takeout, which is pretty smart. Plus, there are charging stations right next to the hotel, which is great for electric car owners – no need to worry about finding a place to charge.

11590101****The front desk staff were warm and efficient. We got an upgrade to a better room, which offered even more beautiful views of Kunming. The breakfast was a real local treat, with delicious grilled Erkuai, steamed Ersi, rice noodles, and Xidoufen (pea jelly). The cakes sold in the lobby were also very tasty and reasonably priced, with a buy-one-get-one-free offer after 6 PM. The only downside was that the room facilities were a bit old, but that's understandable for an older five-star hotel. It's only a 10-minute walk from Kunming Station. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kunming.

The bunk beds are incredibly well-designed, each with its own charging port, reading light, and storage compartment, offering maximum privacy. The 24-hour front desk staff are warm and reliable, and you can even store your luggage for free. The common areas are spacious, and the terrace and billiards room are perfect for socializing. It's spotlessly clean and offers great value for money. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kunming!

GGuest UserA very warm treasure hotel. Our family received souvenirs and welcome tea as soon as we arrived at the hotel, which was very ceremonial. Because there were not many tourists, the hotel seemed particularly secluded. Whether it was the private soup in the courtyard or the Pu'er tea, they were all of very high quality. The children enjoyed feeding the seagulls every day. The food was a little simple during the Spring Festival. A male waiter in the restaurant (forgot his name) was very enthusiastic. The green vegetables were all from the hotel's own vegetable garden, which was very natural. The back door of the hotel leads directly to Yangzonghai Shijiazui Park, and the scenery is invincible. In short, I was very satisfied. Thanks to the housekeeper for his meticulous service. Five-star praise. Recommended to travelers who like to relax and get close to nature.

MM32146****This is a genuine review. Kunming was my first stop, and after comparing various hotels, I finally settled on the newly opened JEN Hotel. Before my trip, customer service had already connected with me on WeChat and even arranged a complimentary room upgrade. As a Shangri-La property, the lobby was pretty standard, but the detail of having staff available to help with luggage on weekdays was a nice touch.
However, I couldn't shake off the disappointment once I entered the room. The room itself was tiny; it felt like I was in super-dense Hong Kong, not Kunming.
The bathroom layout made me feel like I was in some factory dorm—no bathtub, not even a rain shower. The showerhead kept slipping, and the water pressure was weak. Despite such a small bathroom, the ventilation was poor, so smells lingered for ages. The room layout was also peculiar; the sink was right next to the luggage rack, so washing my face meant splashing my clothes simultaneously. When I inquired about this, the staff's response was that they target young business travelers. If that's the case, why was the room clock broken? It made me feel quite unsettled.
I had planned to visit their SUMA Lounge, but after this experience, I decided against it—I didn't want to be disappointed in the same place twice.
I used Ctrip's deposit-free guarantee, so I'm not sure why I was still asked for a deposit at check-in. Finally, the pool and gym are probably the highlights, assuming you can find time to work out while traveling.

GGuest UserStayed here from 29–31 December. The hotel is literally right next to the viral beef bread spot, and there are many other attractions nearby as well.
The location is superb — very convenient for going back and forth for shopping, and there are plenty of halal restaurants around.
One thing to note: the hotel has only one lift, and the exterior doesn’t look very impressive. However, once you step inside, it’s a completely different story — the interior is absolutely beautiful, seriously so stunning.
Great stay overall, especially for the location 👍
