AAnonymous UserThis trip was a last-minute decision. I booked the hotel after 1 AM and was pleasantly surprised after landing and checking in. As someone who pays close attention to hotel details, especially since Kunming is always just a layover during my trips to Yunnan, I have to say Papman is truly amazing. First, the service: I received a fresh flower basket upon check-in, and the hotel butler was incredibly attentive, responding promptly to all my requests. They even sent a freshly made cake for our wedding anniversary, which was delicious and high-quality. Second, the room amenities: The vanity had a full box of soft facial tissues, makeup remover wipes, mouthwash, and laundry detergent. There was a Dyson hairdryer, and the shower had a dry/wet separation with push-button controls. Third, the hotel's decor: Every step revealed a beautiful view, and there were multiple tea rooms available for guests to use for free. The rooftop on the third floor offered spectacular photo opportunities. Walking around the hotel at night, I was delighted to see the shadow of a deer cast by the镂空灯 (镂空灯 - 'cut-out' or 'pierced' lamps). Fourth, the food: We received complimentary afternoon tea with tasty desserts, and the late-night snack selection was extensive, including rice noodles, fried potatoes, 'bao jiang' tofu, and grilled skewers. The salted peanuts, especially the Yunnan 'xiaohua' black peanuts, were excellent; I immediately asked if I could buy a can to take home. All in all, I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Kunming!

LLijuan  ♪(^∇^*) This is my third visit this year, and I absolutely love this hotel, even though it's only 30 kilometers from my home. My favorite part is the large balcony, which offers a delightful view of the lake and lush green mountains, with high skies and drifting clouds – it's incredibly peaceful. The evenings are very quiet. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, and the breakfast at the restaurant is fantastic.

YYappariStory⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We originally booked a 60-square-meter hot spring king room with a terrace and breakfast. To our surprise and delight, the hotel kindly upgraded us to an even larger room free of charge. The upgraded room was incredibly spacious. Besides the bedroom, it featured a separate living room, a large balcony, an enormous bathroom, a jetted tub, and a private sauna. The moment we opened the door, we couldn't help but exclaim, ”This is huge!” The room's design heavily incorporated wood, complemented by high, distinctive ceilings, creating a strong resort vibe. Our favorite areas were the balcony and living room; they felt incredibly open and were perfect for simply relaxing, enjoying tea, or chatting. After a soak in the jetted tub in the evening, followed by a session in the sauna, all the day's fatigue just melted away. This setup far exceeded our initial expectations. The hotel's service also deserves praise. While a free upgrade isn't mandatory, it's these extra touches that make guests feel valued and cared for. The biggest takeaway from this stay is that we booked a hot spring room but unexpectedly enjoyed a suite-level experience. From the room size and facilities to overall comfort, everything was exceptionally satisfying. I would definitely choose to stay here again without hesitation.

DDiana AldereiWe recently stayed at this hotel with my husband and had quite a mixed experience – some parts were truly lovely, while others left us a bit disappointed. First of all, the villa itself was absolutely beautiful and incredibly spacious. The natural hot spring water was one of the highlights of our stay — such a relaxing and unique experience. The surrounding territory is also well-maintained and very peaceful, perfect for disconnecting and enjoying nature. However, it’s important to note that the location is quite remote — it took us around an hour to get to places where we could eat or enjoy a cup of coffee. This is understandable considering the mountain setting and access to hot springs. The afternoon tea was decent, and although lunch wasn’t included in our stay, we tried the local mixian noodles and they were absolutely delicious! Must try! Unfortunately, breakfast was disappointing, especially for guests like us who don’t eat pork or pork oil - there were very few options. A few maintenance and cleanliness issues also affected our stay. The outdoor pool was not super clean, some insects were swimming there. While we really loved the hot spring bathtub in the villa, the facilities could use a bit more upkeep. The toilet setup was quite basic — a minimum upgrade like a bidet spray or shower toilet would make a big difference, especially for international or Muslim guests. A more distressing part of our stay was that we found dead insects under the blanket in our bed after returning to our room one evening 🥲 I do appreciate the staff’s polite and kind response – they offered tea and explained it may have fallen from the ceiling – but for someone with a strong phobia of insects, this made it difficult to sleep and really affected my comfort. I do believe this is something that should be taken more seriously, especially in a hotel of this level. Despite these issues, the staff was very polite, cute and extremely helpful & friendly, and I can see the potential for a truly magical experience here with just a few improvements. I really wanted to love everything — and part of me did — but I was also happy to go back home, just to feel more comfortable and relaxed.

QQianshanfeipuFor my Yunnan vacation, I chose to stay at the InterContinental Kunming for two nights on my way through, and I was quite satisfied. The information published by the hotel on online platforms like Trip.com was accurate, and there were no unpleasant surprises. The hotel grounds are quite extensive, with a large, self-built tropical garden featuring lush greenery, ponds with waterfalls, and quaint bridges over streams, accompanied by the occasional bird song. Sitting under a pavilion there was truly delightful. This time, the hotel upgraded me to a lake-view room on the 6th floor of Building 7, where I could overlook Dianchi Lake from the balcony. The guest room was spacious and the amenities were up to standard. The service maintained the high InterContinental standard, with a warm reception at the front desk and proactive assistance with luggage from the concierge. Just a small suggestion: it would be perfect if there were clear stickers on the sides of the transparent glass shower and toilet stalls to prevent guests from accidentally bumping their heads.

0007EasonFive out of five stars, highly recommended! I stayed at this upscale city hotel in Kunming and was impressed by the attentive service from the front desk staff throughout my stay – it truly exceeded my expectations. The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to a bustling commercial area, making it very convenient for getting around. The lobby design is grand and impressive. On the day we checked in, the lobby was quite busy. While the bellhops were occupied assisting other guests and handling luggage, the front office manager immediately stepped in, enthusiastically took our bags, and personally escorted us to our room. Along the way, he patiently introduced the hotel's amenities, breakfast times, and local attractions. I later learned he had only recently joined the hotel, but his professionalism was evident, and his explanations were perfectly tailored and insightful. Traveling with a child can be challenging. After my child's bath in the evening, it was inconvenient to go downstairs to send a package. After contacting the front desk, they arranged for someone to pick up our takeout. We didn't have to go back and forth at all, which genuinely solved a common hassle when traveling with kids. These small details really show their thoughtfulness.

MMunanxiziA wonderful hideaway for a hot spring getaway. The private courtyard comes with its own hot tub, or you can switch things up and use the public pools. In the evenings, you can catch a stunning sunset, and the Ancient Dian Kingdom Museum is right across the way. The villa's amenities are top-notch, and it's very clean, even including a private sauna. There weren't any bugs this season, which made it a super comfortable and relaxing spot for a few friends to unwind. The breakfast and dinner at the mountaintop restaurant are both excellent, and they do Western dishes really well too!

GGuest UserThis is my second stay at the Goodview Hotel, and I'm once again impressed by their service and attention to detail. The location is incredibly convenient, whether you're driving or taking the subway, flying or arriving by high-speed rail. **Facilities:** The environment is elegant and clean, and the bedding quality is excellent. All facilities are well-maintained, and the hotel lobby is beautiful and perfect for photos. **Service:** The front desk staff are professional and meticulous. Check-in and check-out are handled quickly and efficiently, and any requests are promptly addressed. **Room:** The suite's window view has always been my favorite reason for choosing Goodview. You can see the distant skyline and a panoramic view of Kunming city – a wonderful experience without even leaving the room. Highly recommended!

Good
GGuest UserThe location is pretty good, close to Plaza 66, about an 8-minute walk. The hotel's concierge service was good; staff were always there to greet us multiple times when we entered and exited. We booked connecting rooms, but they were externally connected, not internally. This made it inconvenient, especially when the kids were asleep, as the sound of swiping the card to enter the room was quite loud. So, it wasn't ideal. The room was too small; the bathroom and shower were cramped together, and there wasn't enough space to turn around. It felt very restrictive. Breakfast was just average. Not many varieties, but the quality was decent. The freshly squeezed juice was watered down, and the watermelon juice wasn't good. Overall, I didn't really feel like there was much service.

JJiechengxiaoxiongLocation is amazing! You can access the mall directly from the first floor, and there's a newly opened Mixue and MINISO nearby. Gin provided professional service and recommended that we stroll and eat our way along the old street, which was a great idea. The room assigned to us was also incredibly spacious! Getting a taxi to further places was also very easy. The bed was comfortable, and after a day of exploring, I fell asleep instantly. Definitely a must-recommend to friends!
