**Transportation:** The hotel offers a dedicated shuttle service to popular attractions like the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel is also very close to the city center, and it only takes about 10 minutes to get around, making it super accessible.
**High-Quality Central Diffused Oxygen for 18 Hours:** The room comes with an 18-hour supply of medical-grade diffused oxygen, which is a lifesaver. It genuinely works wonders, highly recommended!
**Ambiance:** The hotel boasts a beautiful ******* manor-style design, complete with white stupas, golden prayer flags, and even traditional ******* clothing. You can take some stunning photos in the courtyard – it's truly picturesque and authentic.
**Service:** Every staff member was incredibly warm and attentive. They offered us Rhodiola rosea hot drinks during check-in and consistently checked in on us to see if we were experiencing altitude sickness. They even provided recommendations for our itinerary, showing genuine care and helpfulness. Highly recommended!

JJonaswqIt's a cute little traditional ******* style hotel that is just a stone throw from Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple. The hotel doesn't provide breakfast but has an Indian restaurant downstairs. You can also find plenty of food along the Barkhor Street which is like 2 mins walk away. Potala Palace is also relatively near about 2km away. The hotel also has cute kittens running around.

Buy an oxygen tube for RMB 10/piece, and you can arrange an oxygen machine at the lobby bar to provide free oxygen.
There were sanitary defects, cigarette butts were found, we don't smoke as a family, but it was acceptable, the sprinkler pipe leaked, and the water pressure increased after cleaning.
Everything was cured by the warm customer service.

GGuest UserMy stay at the Shangri-La Hotel in Lhasa was absolutely impeccable from start to finish. Every detail, from the airport pickup to daily living, dining, and transportation, showcased professionalism and warmth. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lhasa!
The airport pickup service was punctual and attentive. The driver was calm and professional, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey. Throughout our trip, the hotel arranged a dedicated driver to take us to Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace. The routes were well-planned, the driving was steady, and he waited patiently, allowing us to easily visit these sacred sites without any worries.
I must give special praise to our butler, Zhixi. His service was incredibly meticulous and he anticipated our every need. From guiding us during check-in and offering itinerary suggestions to providing tips for high altitude, he followed up attentively throughout, always responsive to our requests. He handled every small detail with such care and thoughtfulness, making us feel completely at ease.
The dining experience at the restaurant was excellent. The dishes were varied, delicious, and of high quality. A special thanks to Dekyi Wangmo for her exceptional care. Her service was warm and attentive; she proactively anticipated our needs, from taking orders to refilling tea and providing thoughtful details. The dining atmosphere was cozy and pleasant, and we enjoyed every meal thoroughly. This was especially helpful for us who experienced some altitude sickness.
Standard hotel services were also top-notch. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were humble, courteous, and responded quickly. Whether it was helping with facilities, addressing requests, or providing temporary assistance, they were efficient and warm, truly making us feel at home.
From airport transfers and butler service to restaurant care, the Shangri-La Hotel's exceptional dedication protected our entire journey, making our high-altitude trip warm and smooth.

XXiaoyuebanjianghuI rarely write reviews, but I feel I must write one this time. Gesanghua Hotel has a beautiful and kind proprietress. She is quite young, thoughtful, warm and patient. We just arrived in Lhasa and were not very familiar with the itinerary. Later, we consulted the proprietress to avoid falling into the trap. You can also ask the proprietress to help buy performance tickets and travel packages. There are many discounts after comparison. I am also very satisfied with the arranged room. It is square, clean, with a humidifier, oxygen concentrator, and air conditioner. Every morning, the bright sunshine will shine into the room, making the cool morning warm all of a sudden. Living in a sunny room makes my altitude sickness much better.
The location of the hotel is also very good👍 It is convenient to go out for transportation. It takes a few minutes to walk to Jokhang City, Barkhor Street, and Jokhang Temple. It only takes 10 yuan to take Didi to the Potala Palace.
Warm service, clean room, convenient transportation, we will definitely stay in Gesanghua again next time.

GGuest UserWhat an amazing hotel, the rooms are immaculate and mine had a view of Potalo palace.
The food is delicious, amazing breakfast buffet with very high quality items and the restaurant food was succulent.
Also. When staying at Songtsam, make sure to have a massage at their spa. The Spa lady Tenzin phuti is so knowledgeable and will give you a massage like you never had before. A must do at the hotel.
Big thank you to Sonam, English speaking lady who took good care of me and her English was brilliant.
Overall, Songtsam is an amazing hotel and you won’t regret staying there!

GGuest UserSatisfactory aspects: The room was nice and had ethnic characteristics; the hotel's location was excellent (we had a travel companion with mobility issues); the service and communication were very satisfactory (there was a third-party system error with another platform regarding room extensions, but the front desk staff were very patient in communicating with them, and the receptionist, Yangji, provided excellent service; the overall service quality was also very good); the breakfast was delicious and we were very satisfied; the room cleaning was also satisfactory.
-- The only unsatisfactory aspect was: the toothbrush bristles were shedding. After rinsing my mouth, 5 or 6 bristles got stuck between my teeth, and I had to stop and pull them out while rinsing. (Bringing your own toothbrush solved this problem.)
-- Suggestion: If possible, if the hotel renovates again, it could add features catering to younger travelers (such as self-service laundry and a self-service bar).
-- There are attractions downstairs, and you can walk to Namased Restaurant. It's conveniently located in the city center, making it easy to get around. The attached pictures show nearby attractions and restaurants.

GGuest UserThe room facilities were excellent, and free oxygen was provided at 8:00 PM. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and tasted quite good. The lobby reception staff were very helpful. The hotel's location was good, and taxis were readily available. It also had a courtyard, small garden, and pond, making for a beautiful environment. Thank you!

Hygienic: clean and tidy
Environment: The environment has nothing to say. The room can see the panoramic view of the city and the night view of the Potala Palace. The aisle can see the mountain view.
Service: The service is very good. The young ladies at the front desk are very beautiful. They will also help write Tibetan.

GGuest UserThe hotel isn't to far from the Portola Palace (a short taxi trip). I wouldn't say its a true 4 star hotel.
The room was a good size, quiet and didn't smell of cigarette smoke. The room was a little worn out; I couldn't get the TV to work, the mirror on the wet bar area was cracked, there were marks to the walls where paintings/pictures had once been. Most annoying was the shower cubicle and the shower over the bath had only cold water! On my last morning the power was off in my area of the hotel and the lift was not working due to the power outage.
The hotel staff do not speak English, but one lady working on reception was especially nice and helpful and we were able to communicate by using the translation app.
There are lots of restaurants near by, but next time I think I'd prefer to stay closer to the Portola Palace.
