I chose this location due it's amazing value, easy navigation from the airport and the availability of meals onsite after late afternoon flights into NZ. The rooms were basic, but clean and comfortable. Definite positives were comfortable beds, easy parking and massive meals - perfect launch pad for any Christchurch or South Island holiday.

The room was clean, reasonably modern and comfortable enough. The service at reception when I booked in was not very good and the outside of the premises is quite dirty. But the biggest problem is the restaurant, it was easily the worst meal out I have ever had, the vegetables were disgusting, they were cold and had obviously just been taken from the Bain marie, where I suspect they had been for quite a while, and it was not a cheap meal. My advice is stay in the room and go elsewhere for dinner.

Just went for a meal in the public bar. I decided I wanted steak eggs and chips. Although the steak was Ribbye the cost was certainly over priced for a public bar. The total cost was $46.00. I asked why so much and the answer I got was "it is what it is? I dined at the Top club in Lyttelton the week prior and their steak (Also Ribbeye) eggs and chips meal was $28. So go there if you want a good deal and a more classesy experience. Gone Down Hill, since new management!!! Cheers Mike

Stayed here is a busy motel in an ok area. Noisy neighbours in house behind having loud party and loud music in room next door. In saying that it’s reasonably priced for accommodation these days so you get what you pay for. Plenty of parking. Not my first choice by far but for one night stay does the job.

Have emailed more than once, no response. Window net curtain had black mould, as did door frame, drapes dirty. Room reaked of bleach and carpet/air freshener. Unit otherwise OK. Restaurant clean and tidy, but plates cold, place was not busy, lamb shanks were stone cold inside, hot on outside. B/fast, plates cold, food greasy, roast arrive ten minutes after rest of meal. (Was forgotton) Partner stayed with work, month earlier, his meal was forgotton and he asked an hour later, it must have been sitting under heat lamp, as immediately arrived dry. Would be reluctant to repeat. And only posting review because emails with pictures ignored. (Emailed via their website)

just had a meal in the resturant - normally very good but my sons chicken was dry in his burger he didnt want me to complain as I already complained about a large white house wine costing $18 - wont go back if a glass of wine is more than a meal !!!
