An excellent spot located in avissawella closer to the labugama forest reserve. The friendly ambience, the rock pool, mouth watering cuisine surrounded by nature was a truly magnificent experience. Highly recommended for birders and nature lovers. Hoping to revisit soon Wildlife pixel by arindra and sithmini silva

Do NOT recommend this place. 1. We did not have electricity for several hours during our stay which was awful for the children - one of whom had a nasty fall in the dark. 2. Ofcourse it's a nature reserve but we didn't expect to have poisonous snakes in our bathroom sink. Yes, it was a Ceylon krait...yes, it is one of the most venomous snakes in the country and it was peaking from the bathroom sink. 3. We decided to end our stay planned 2 night stay to a one night stay due to the above reasons. The owner (I didn't care to know her name) was extremely rude about it. She refused to arrange our BBQ (for which we carried kilos of food with us all the way from home, and she refused to have us use her fridge - she intended for the raw food to get spoiled. *This was despite her previously agreeing to the BBQ and us accepting to pay her fee too*) 4. So we were warmly shuttled to the lodge via the cabs from the car park, it was provided free of charge. However, since we decided to leave early, she demanded a ridiculous fee for her cab charge to be shuttled from the lodge to the car park (which is about 2km away from the lodge through a leech infested Forrest). So the 4 families with children including kids under 2 years, took the 2 km walk through the jungle. The only plus points in this shameful unwelcoming place are the 2 chefs/servers. They were incredible.

The pictures don't do Ramba's reserve justice! A truly unique and special place. So close to the city but secluded, peaceful and breathtaking. The menu and cuisine were wonderful. Its the perfect place to rest and recharge specially if you like hiking and wondering. The host Nalaka and his team were extremely welcoming and warm. We absolutely recommend Ramba's reserve for you if you are looking for some adventure.

One of the most memorable trips , nature at its core , it’s a must on the bucket list , Thanks Pry for this magical experience and preserving gods gift . The bungalows were nestled in the heart of the jungle the food was freshly cooked and no less than home food . We Sean in the natural pools of the water falls , the whole experience becomes sentimental

Not recommend to children under 10years. We met a Ceylon krait in one of the bathrooms. Even the temporary tents in camping sites are made insect and snakes proof these days. The only excuse for their short comings is that this being a forest lodge . There is no decent emergency lamps during power cuts, if you are lucky they might on the generator for some time . If you ever go to this place after reading this review please make sure not to complain about any short comings you face at the site, because, the lady appearing to be the owner might be very strict on you . After pointing out some of the short comings we encountered and deciding to cut down our stay from 2nights to one, she made sure that we walked back 2km to our cars from her jungle huts by refusing to provide the shuttle transport service which we received on arrival . Adding more to that she refused to arrange bbq dinner for which we brought all the meat items as agreed upon before hand and if you think that’s all, no you’re wrong, this lady ordered her servants not to keep those meat items in their refrigerator and allow them to rot
