Compared to other hotels like Novotel , this is no where near the standard!

Its horrendous. I have stayed at well over 2000 hotels. This is one of the worst. Rooms were quite poor. Breakfast was a joke. served in a plastic container and very poor quality Many asylum seekers in the hotel ( 95%) creating noise during the evening. The receptionist was dressed like a street person and not sure what he was saying when we checked in. A very strange smell throughout the hotel.

DO NOT STAY. This is an awful Hotel. I paid £115 for a grotty, run down room. The whole place smells. I asked my booking agent for a refund but they couldn’t promise me one until they spoke to the Hotel the next morning, leaving me no option but to stay. The staff are very rude and proceeded to insult me because I wasn’t happy. The room walls are covered in stains, bathroom looks dirty, the whole place makes your skin crawl.

My colleague booked this hotel, he loves being a maverick so doesn't read reviews before booking. I like Kemosabe to his loan ranger went along for the ride, assuming he had made a fully informed decision as to the quality of our accommodation for the night 🫣 The first impression wasn't great, that haunting end-of-the-world feeling was undeniable, but the post-apocalyptic feeling surely couldn't continue inside? How wrong I was, the automatic doors into reception forced themselves open with a sad reluctant whine, we stepped in and was immediately blocked by a small security guard in hi-vis demanding to know our intentions, despite the language barrier we convinced him that we had pre-booked rooms and then politely directed to the reception counter and instructed to ring the bell. This we dutifully did, shortly a young gentleman popped up as if from nowhere and inquired sceptically if we had a booking, we assured him we did and gave our names, he replied "one moment" and disappeared through an opening behind him, we uncomfortably twiddled our thumbs for 5 mins, then as if by magic another older gentleman Appeared behind us enquiring if we had reservations, once again the we gave our details and where given our room keys and shown to the lifts (by this time the Lone Ranger was apologising profusely for his selection of hotel) After a tense creaky lift ride up to the 5th floor, we walked the corridor to our rooms very disappointed that there was no avian visitors to welcome us. The rooms are difficult describe, not because of the trauma-inducing marks and stains on the walls, doors and cupboards but because of the juxtaposition of a new carpet and bedding against the backdrop of dust infested vents and broken bathroom fixtures. To quickly wrap up this rambling review, this fading hotel which obviously is housing non domiciles wishing to join our country, needs a huge amount of investment and improvements to get it back to a place where you would charge people to stay, I would go as far as saying the best course of action would be to level the site and start again from scratch. I wouldn't stay here again, not unless I had some weird perversion for self abasement, I hope this review has helped you make an informed decision on where to stay in the Coventry area. Hi ho silver away!!!!!

I’ll be honest when we arrived, it really didn’t look great from the outside. Once we got into the reception it was ok; simple, clean and although a little rough around the edges, it was nice enough. The room was clean and basic, but nice enough. The bed was comfortable enough too. The room didn’t get made up each day, but that didn’t bother me too much. The shower was decent and the room fairly spacious. In summary, it was cheaper than all the other hotels in the area, and you can see why in some ways, but you get what you pay for and I think it was excellent value for money.

Was put into this hotel for work, for just one night, but one minute was too long! Rude staff; dinner options finished at 6:45pm; no bar available; hot and scraggy room; tiny, not very clean bathroom; woken throughout the night by noisy guests (most of whom appeared to be foreign and pretty aggressive!); and to cap it all did not get breakfast despite being told that I did not need to pre-book! Outside this hotel looks awful - don't be fooled by any other appearance. It IS awful

Really lovely staff, and a basic, comfortable room (albeit basic) but this place really needs some TLC! The outside is untidy, old and unwelcoming. The lifts (whilst in working order) are like something from an unloved council estate building and the whole building is run down & shabby. Holds migrants (which I genuinely think is wonderful) but I don’t feel like they can feel respected or welcomed.
