I book near my friend house so it's a perfect location. The hotel is clean and staff clean everyday.

Staying at the Hometown Studios at Dallas, Mesquite under the Westgate banner was a huge disappointment. I needed a place to stay temporarily until my home got ready for me to move in. My family booked me a HomeTown suite under the Westgate properties timeshare. The Westgate name alone, stands for itself. You expect quality service, a squeaky clean standard, and the usual great customer service that you normally receive at Westgate properties. That has not been the case here at Hometown Studios in Mesquite, Texas. The room seemed surface cleaned but not deep cleaned. Parts of the hardwood floor needed mopping and there was no broom or dustpan in the room. There also were no dishes, glasses, silverware, or pots and pans in the room.. It has been my experience, that this is the usual standard for a studio suite of rooms and or extended stay hotels. I guess it was okay that I was given a studio type apartment since I was only one person. I did have a full size refrigerator, microwave and a stove top burner to cook on. Only one of the burners worked, but on the first day neither of them came on and it wasn't until the third day that the front burner finally heated up and came on. Again there were no pots or skillets to cook with and when I inquired of them I was told that I would have to pay a surcharge for the use of cookware and dishes in my suite to prepare a meal. Not being informed of this upfront, meant that I had to eat out daily and be conservative about how I spent money on food. I expected to be able to cook daily I stead of eating out. Additionally, there was no iron, ironing board, hair dryer or coffee pot nor tea in the studio either. Again, when I inquired of these items, I was told that no iron no ironing board was available that the hotel did not offer them at all. I asked for two bottles of water as I had run out of mine own, did not feel comfortable going out into the neighborhood to purchase water at night. I was told that Hometown Suites did not have water to offer to their guests. When we booked this hotel I believe I understood the Westgate agent to tell us that this location was near downtown Dallas. I specifically asked to be in the Dallas area as this was an out of state move for me and being in the Dallas area would put me close to where I needed to conduct business. It was only when I began to physically navigate the drive here that I discovered the place was nowhere near Dallas but in Mesquite which is at least a 30-40 mins drive away from the Dallas area. There is high construction in this area and getting into the hotel means I have to navigate through broken up and dirt road entryways to get to the hotel. Upon arrival, the front desk personnel, gave me the opportunity to check out the room to see if I was comfortable with it before choosing to take it. I stayed with the Fairfield never a days inn I’m suing your company for using my information and stealing my card information I never stayed in a days in . Thank you I’m going to call my bank and get my refund again you will be going to. Court and I’ll write a million reviews about this

We were disappointed that there was no breakfast in the lobby area where the coffee and juice bar was and where chairs and tables were set up. I don’t know if there was a different area for the breakfast but there was no signs directing us anywhere else.

First, I booked a stay at the location, specifically asking if it would be possible for me to check in around 9-10am vs at 3pm. Right away, I got a friendly and professional response, explaining that they would not be able to guarantee this prior to my arrival, due to not knowing which rooms will be ready. I understood that completely, no problem! They went on to say in a follow up email, that they would do their best to accommodate my needs, and couldn't wait to see me! (The bus does not drop off in front of the property, so, I had to walk a bit, which isn't too bad except I was having to carry several big heavy bags.) I arrived at the location at 1pm, I walk in and there are about 3-4 staff standing behind the desk, I approach and they all simply stop and stare at me, without a single smile, wave, or word! So, I broke the ice by saying I had a reservation, the response was a lady pointing to the next register and saying, ”He will do it over there”. So, I go to that window, the older man asks my name, he pulls it up, and says, ”I don't have a room ready yet, it isn't cleaned. You have to wait til 3pm”. I look at my bags, and very politely, I said, ”if it just has not been cleaned, it's ok, I can clean it.” He of course says, ”I can not give room without it being clean!” And I understood that, was fine with it. Then he adds as an afterthought, ”That if you want room before 3pm, it's a $20 fee. I was a little upset walking out with my bags trying to figure out someway to pass the next 2 hours without having to go too far with my belongings, but, rules are rules, so it was not a deal breaker! But then, as I am walking back to the property, I run into a friend of mine, he asked to use my phone. So, he walks with me so he can make his call. We walk in the door a few minutes past 3pm. He walks over to waiting area to handle his call, and I approach the woman at the window. This lady has sort of an attitude and asks what I need, I tell her I have a reservation, she asks for my name, then she asked for my phone number. I didn't understand what she said when asking for my number, so, I said, ”I'm sorry? I didn't catch what you said!” She just looks at me ... My brain actually kicked in at that moment and I gave her my number. She then mumbled under her breath something about she doesn't know if she has a room ready yet... She then looks at me and said, with attitude,”For future references, when you do a reservation online, you need go enter the actual number of guests...” I understood the confusion, and so I responded with a bit of surprise, ”Oh, no, I did update it, it should have been 1, I am the one getting the room! She glances towards him, and I explain to her that he was only with me because he needed to use my phone. At that point, this other female staff member who had not spoke at all to this point, gets an attitude while directing her statement to her co-worker she says, Unhunh, no they were walking together from wayyy back there!” I said, o

I’m on a cross country trip. I stayed here 1 night because I used to live in the area. Out of all the hotels I’ve stayed at, this was the most expensive ($70) for the tiniest 1 full size bed. I stayed here because it was located on I-30, easy off, easy on. I will never stay here again. The walls were very thin; you could hear everything. It was very noisy, inside and outside.

Great customer service, Didnt like downstairs but clerk changed rooms with no problem the special request was not listed on our resevation at the hotel. Food was good.
