Stunningly beautiful design, peaceful stay. There is a lot of beautiful nature surrounding the hotel for good hikes, photos, etc
All the staff were incredibly attentive and proactive. Had a small hiccup during the stay and they immediately fixed it and also offered a complimentary lunch - beyond what was expected or required. Will definitely be back!

ZhubagongzimianIf I'm looking to relax by Dianchi Lake again, I'd definitely consider InterContinental. The hotel is very close to Dianchi Lake, and you can walk to Haigeng Dam to watch the sunset, which gives it a real vacation vibe – perfect if you're planning fewer city excursions. The evening ceremony was quite interesting, especially since it was drizzling the night we watched, which added a lovely atmosphere! However, during the ceremony, there were many children running on the wooden bridge, which wasn't ideal for those of us watching from the lobby bar. Perhaps they could consider roping off the area during the ceremony? Also, the drinks at the lobby bar were quite mediocre. Can they really not afford a proper bartender?
Facilities: Generally meets 5-star hotel standards. Although it's an older property, the room facilities are well-maintained. A downside was the pool changing rooms, which were quite basic and not cleaned promptly.
Hygene: Very good, the room was clean and tidy.
Ambiance: The hotel's public areas are relatively small for a resort hotel, but the plant arrangements are lovely, and there are many name tags to identify the trees. However, the numerous shops inside do detract from the brand's premium feel.
Service: The shuttle service was efficient, and the staff were warm and welcoming, making for a comfortable stay.
Another point of criticism is the breakfast restaurant. Both the variety and quality were not up to the InterContinental standard, nor did they match the hotel's resort positioning. After all, a delicious breakfast is what makes you want to return.
Furthermore, at the two noodle stations, the instructions were unclear. One side was a fixed small bowl of rice noodles, while the other was plain noodles where you added your own toppings. There should ideally be a small blackboard listing the options for guests to choose from, but there wasn't. The staff also didn't proactively explain the options; I had to ask detailed questions to understand. This led to a poor experience, especially since the noodles weren't particularly tasty. I hope the hotel can improve this in the future.

Guest UserMy family loved the hotel. It was spacious with a courtyard, a lake, and fish. The gym was large and well-equipped with a wide variety of equipment. There were two heated swimming pools, which were cleaned every night. The hot spring water next to the pools was also drained and replaced with fresh water the next day. There were both indoor and outdoor pools, and the hot spring water was drawn from underground. The whole hotel was a recreational attraction. We originally only booked one night, but we were so relaxed and comfortable at the hotel that we extended our stay for another day. When my child got wet, the staff even kindly took them to dry.

I ordered takeout, but the hotel doesn't allow the deliveryman to deliver to the room because it was inconvenient for me, so I asked the front desk for help, and it was delivered to the room very quickly. When I asked the reason, the front desk guy told me that it was for the safety of the guests that the deliveryman was not allowed to go upstairs. The hotel has trained guests that if they need takeout to the room, they can help deliver it. The overall feeling of the hotel is good, and the service attitude is very good. When I checked in, I asked about the surrounding attractions and routes, and they explained it very patiently. The room internet connection was very fast, and I asked the waiter, who told me that each room has an independent dedicated line. The room feels clean, and you can swim, exercise, and take a hot spring bath. Since I had a lot of fun, I didn't have time to take a few photos of the hotel. I will take more photos after I check in next time.

Guest UserHighly recommend! I really loved it – the environment is beautiful, and the staff are very enthusiastic. I'd definitely go back if I have the chance. They thoroughly clean the hot spring pools, which is great; it would be even better if it wasn't boiler water.

The hotel is located right by Dianchi Lake, with separate lanes for vehicles and pedestrians. There's an observation deck not far from the hotel, and it's about 800-900 meters to Haigeng Park and Haihong Wetland. However, you still have to walk further to get to the cable car station, and I estimate the dam is even further – I didn't go there. The hotel is 2.3 kilometers from Xingti Road Station on Metro Line 5. Our package included one complimentary drop-off service to the metro station, which was really good. It would be even better if they offered round-trip shuttle service to the metro for backpackers.
However, there aren't many shops around the hotel. For dining, it's either the hotel restaurant or ordering takeout. Park 1903 Commercial Street is about 3 kilometers away, so it's more suitable if you have a car.
The hotel service was excellent. The front desk staff, housekeeping, and drivers were all incredibly gentle and friendly. The manager even proactively helped us with our luggage.
The hotel is quite understated; in fact, the observation deck not far away offers amazing sunrise views, but they never promote it.

I traveled after the Spring Festival, and the room was newly renovated, very clean, and the facilities were also new. The garden outside the hotel is beautiful, making it a top choice for a vacation in Kunming. Plus, the hotel is very close to Haigang Park, where you can enjoy the unique experience of feeding seagulls. There's also a lake inside the hotel with seagulls, though perhaps fewer in number. It's an excellent hotel that offers a quiet escape in a bustling area. Overall, I highly recommend it.

The private hot spring at the hotel was fantastic! It's so peaceful staying in the mountains. I'm not sure if it was because I booked through Trip.com, but they put me in the room furthest back, and I couldn't see anything from the balcony except trees. Overall, aside from the hotel facilities being a bit old, the service was good. The electric shuttle was always available when called, and the food was incredibly good value for money – pretty decent. We didn't go to the public hot springs because it was a holiday and too crowded, so we just used the one in our room. Overall, I'd recommend it to discerning travelers. If only the view from the private hot spring balcony stretched further, I'd give it a perfect score. I wonder if the rooms closer to the front are more expensive?

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Manshuiju Three-Bedroom Villa in Kunming and highly recommend it to all travelers!
Surrounded by a tranquil traditional Chinese garden, the villa boasts elegant architecture and lush greenery throughout. The environment is peaceful with great privacy, creating a perfect retreat for relaxation. The three-bedroom unit is incredibly spacious with a practical layout, and every bedroom comes with an independent bathroom. All fixtures and amenities are premium and well-kept, offering top-tier comfort for the whole group.
What impressed us most was the thoughtful touches. A complimentary bottle of red wine was delivered directly to our room, adding a nice touch to our stay. They also specially prepared children’s toiletries, which was really considerate for families with kids.
The courtyard features a private outdoor hot spring pool filled with natural spring water. Soaking in the warm water was extremely relaxing and helped us unwind completely after sightseeing. The dedicated butler service was attentive and responsive, taking good care of every detail. Besides, the location is handy for exploring local attractions.
This villa is an excellent pick for family vacations and group gatherings. We loved every moment here and will definitely book again on our next trip to Kunming!
