"Don’t stay here in summer it’s absolute hell. It doesn’t have any working air con regardless of what they say and the room is 28-30c at night! The hotel owners need to spend a few million euros overhauling the entire system and it’s obvious they won’t ever do that Sadly because of this the front desk staff bare the brunt of complaints therefore creating a toxic work environment the room itself is nice but sadly would never book again during summer months"

"Overall, my stay was a mixed bag. The hotel's location is excellent, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, which remains a definite plus. However, there's significant room for improvement concerning room facilities, cleanliness, and service details. Pros: ✅ Convenient Location: The hotel is surrounded by numerous restaurants and supermarkets, making daily life incredibly easy. ✅ Front Desk Service Was Okay: The front desk staff's attitude was acceptable. Areas for Improvement: ⚠️ Cramped Room Space: The hotel rooms are very compact. ⚠️ Bed Setup Affected Sleep: The double bed I booked was actually made from two single beds pushed together. I kept falling into the gap between them, which severely impacted my sleep quality. ⚠️ Towel Cleanliness Issues: The towels had stains, indicating that hygiene needs to be stepped up. ⚠️ Lack of Essentials and Proactive Service: There was no soap provided in the room, and no staff member proactively replaced it. This significantly detracted from the overall comfort of the stay. Conclusion: Despite the hotel's good location and acceptable front desk service, the room size, bed design, towel cleanliness, and especially the lack of essential items (like soap) without proactive replenishment, significantly affected my experience. I hope the hotel can improve its facilities and the meticulousness of its service based on these points."

"A thoroughly enjoyable stay! The hotel is super centrally located and perfect for exploring Cologne on foot. The breakfast was – as always – outstanding: a great selection, fresh and delicious. The friendly and attentive staff really stood out and made the stay even more pleasant. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I'd happily come back again and can definitely recommend the hotel!"

"The staff is extremely friendly, competent, and helpful. The breakfast buffet leaves little to be desired. The rooms are clean and well-equipped. The hotel is located outside the city center, but it's easily accessible via tram line 1. The tram stop is a 3-minute walk away. Would gladly stay again!"

"I’m a female solo traveller so feeling safe is a top priority for me. This hotel was perfect, it was close to the U-Bahn (about 7 minute walk). The room was spacious, clean and it included a kitchenette, lounge with TV, double bed and modern bathroom. The kitchenette had plenty of amenities (microwave, fridge, kettle, hob, cutlery, plates and bowls, cooking equipment (pans, sieve etc). You also have the use of the coffee machine downstairs in the lobby (self service) which was great! I was nearly put off by some of the negative reviews on here but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again. Thanks so much!"

"The fact that this room had a sofa bed was the main reason for choosing it to accommodate a family of 3. A small yet comfortable room which was perfect for us. Breakfast had plenty of variety with the pancake machine being a favourite. It was a 20 minute walk or 8 stops on the U-Bahn from the main train station."

"It is a great location for a business trip, quiet, clean, and comfortable. I recommend it as the best stay for a solo stay. It was convenient because it had cooking utensils and an induction stove so I could have a simple meal."

"Room and hotel super clean. - Thank you. 8 euros to park at hotel or surveyed place , expensive , is allowed in the price. You can also park free in surrounding streets. Breakfast good , but made up yourself breads Café late mocht warmer . To reach Cologne ; 20 minutes walk and then a tram .  Nearby no option to go to eat or drink anything else at walking distance , in residential neighborhood Bar: self-control with a few seats. Good for 1 time"

"We stayed at the city hotel for over two weeks. We changed rooms twice. The internet didn't work properly in ANY of the rooms. Netflix or video conferencing became a real problem. The shower also didn't work properly. The temperature kept changing, which was very unpleasant. The housekeeping staff often had loud conversations in the hallway. Despite being spoken to, there was hardly any improvement. I also found a small bloodstain on my pillow. Every morning I arranged the pillow so that it was visible. Only after several days and a complaint at reception was the cover finally changed. The mattresses are completely worn out. One day the elevator broke down. Our room was on the 5th floor. The receptionist just shrugged. I certainly don't expect royal treatment, but as a guest, you can't expect to be greeted first. Not a chance! They sat there completely indifferent or stared at their phones. The only positive thing is the location in Porz. It's within walking distance of the light rail and the train station. The pedestrian zone is directly opposite and offers everything you need. The blonde receptionist was a bright spot. While she couldn't solve the problems either, she at least showed understanding. I also asked for the manager several times, as I would have liked to discuss the issues with her. I didn't encounter her even once during my nearly three-week stay. Unfortunately, there are few alternatives in Cologne Porz. But you should be aware of these problems when booking."
