"Friendly staff, but lacked transparency and basic hospitality
Our overall stay was average. While the staff was friendly, there were a few communication gaps that impacted our experience:
Towel Policy: There was no information in the room regarding towel rentals for outside use. We were unaware that taking room towels out incurred a fee and were only told to pay after the fact. Clearer signage or a mention during check-in would have been much better.
Water Policy: I was surprised by how restrictive the hotel was with bottled water. Upon checkout, we asked for two bottles of water for our journey but were told to buy them from a nearby grocery store instead. Considering we had skipped room cleaning for a day (effectively saving the hotel two bottles of water already), this felt unnecessarily stingy and left us with a poor final impression.
The service started off well, but the lack of flexibility and transparency on small items made the stay feel less than welcoming."

"For a room costing over 900, you're paying solely for the location. The facilities don't live up to a five-star standard, and the service is even worse.
**Facilities:** The soundproofing is terrible; it's incredibly noisy. The constant blare of boat horns is so loud it frequently startles you awake. I'm not a light sleeper, and my partner sleeps very soundly, yet even he was woken up. In the middle of the night, room service rang the doorbell for the room next door, scaring both of us awake. The secondary lock was also broken. Plus, don't bother with the 'signature sea view' – it's partially obstructed.
**Cleanliness:** Nothing remarkable, neither good nor bad.
**Environment:** It's just a few minutes' walk to the day tour pier. The night market is also nearby, so it definitely boasts an excellent location. If convenience is your priority, this place is a good option. And the public areas are indeed beautiful.
**Service:** Be prepared: this isn't a preferred choice for Chinese guests, but rather for Westerners. During check-in, there was a queue of Asian guests, while Western guests were directed to sit down. Only two staff members were handling check-in, and one lady made copies of passports and handed out room cards to these seated guests. I had requested two quiet, adjacent rooms because I was traveling with my parents and wanted to look after them. The front desk told me they only had rooms on the 6th and 2nd floors, mentioning the 6th floor was near the restaurant and thus noisier, while the 2nd floor was better. So, we chose the 2nd floor. Turns out, one room faced the elevator directly, and the other, though a few rooms down, was also very noisy.
**Dining:** No discount for hotel guests."

"One of the few resorts in Labuan Bajo that actually comes with its own beach. It was built in 2013, so while it’s not brand new it is only a little over a decade old.  We stayed two rooms for two nights — the whole experience felt relaxing and family-friendly. The resort appears well-maintained: according to recent listing info, it underwent renovations in 2023, which helps keep facilities and overall condition in good shape. 
The beach area right in front of the resort is great for morning walks, kayaking, and even snorkeling. Honest feedback: though it’s a beautiful sheltered bay with clear water in the morning, there was unfortunately a noticeable amount of plastic trash along the shoreline. The natural setting is lovely — but the trash did dampen that much-anticipated beachfront vibe.
A super helpful tip for future guests: on our last day we kayaked from Sylvia Resort across to a nearby beach area (near the private/restricted beach of a neighbouring property), and the water there — calm and coral-rich — felt like a small marine nursery. We spent about 40–45 minutes snorkeling there: that side-trip was definitely worth it.
Overall, staff were helpful, the atmosphere peaceful (far from the busy town center), and the resort offered easy access to the jetty — very convenient for island-hopping tours. "A comfortable stay for a night in Labuan Bajo. The room was clean, simple, and perfect for a short transit before our island activities. Location is excellent — close to the town center, cafés, and the seaside stretch. Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly. For the price, it’s definitely good value.
It’s also a convenient stopover before signing on to any liveaboard at LBJ Marina. We loved that it was walking distance to MimaMori LBJ for a healthy breakfast the next morning, and Kampung Ujung for dinner was still reachable on foot. "Really liked it. I stayed in a villa for 1400 [currency, presumably local like IDR], and while it wasn't huge, it was beautiful and even came with a floating breakfast. Overall, the breakfast can't compare to Ayana's, but the accommodation offers good value for money. The laundry service was quick; my clothes were washed and returned to the room within three or four hours. Food deliveries aren't allowed in, so you have to pick them up yourself at the main entrance. The spa was just okay, more expensive than Canggu's and the technique wasn't as good. If you're just looking for a place to stay, I'd definitely recommend it."

"The hotel is slightly away from main centre . The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help.
The rooms are lacking sockets near the bed so if you need to charge phones or else it’s a problem. However, after asking they supplied me with an extension (not pretty but worked )
The pool is lovely and has an amazing view at sunset . The pool has an area which is set up as a pool side bar but unfortunately not set up.
There was building work being done which I was warned when booking but didn’t expect them still making noise after 8pm.
Breakfast starts at 6 but not total inand items added slowly. I had to take first shuttle bus to airport at 7 and until 645 no eggs or non Indonesian dishes. Shuttle bus driver to airport was also late 10 minutes but luckily airport is close .
All said , again the staff were extremely courteous and very apologetic for delays etc. but it’s a shame as hotel has great potential and could do a lot better"

- WiFi is extremely slow and unreliable, connecting dropping constantly and making it impossible to stream content or do a work call
- There is also poor cellular connection hence my 4G card was of no help to solve this issue
- The two restaurants felt a bit “basic” and after a few days were a bit tired. An expanded and more refined cuisine would be welcome
- Despite hotel being quite new and everything looking great, the building itself seems of poor build quality as we could hear the people next door speaking, steps and noises from upper and lower floors, and even road noise from across the stress from the main door corridor"

"Really love the aesthetics at Parlezo. The wood carvings, murals and especially the terracotta tiles. It's great that there were many lighting options in the room to create different moods. The sheets were fresh and comfortable, and together with the friendly and courteous staff, it made our stay really enjoyable.
P.s. just be prepared to climb stairs to your rooms, as the hotel is built on a slope and there are no lifts, and enjoy the artwork and spaces along the way"

PPingyemingqiuMy stay at the Crowne Plaza Labuan Bajo was absolutely perfect! As an IHG hotel, the quality was reassuringly excellent. The hotel is conveniently located very close to the airport, and the complimentary airport shuttle service was a thoughtful touch. The pool is definitely a highlight; relaxing by the hotel pool in the afternoon was incredibly enjoyable. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bedding was soft, and the facilities were new and well-maintained. The breakfast was lavish, offering both local specialties and international dishes. The restaurant and front desk staff were all warm and attentive. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Komodo, highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe floor around the toilet was quite dirty. However, the service response was relatively quick, and overall, the service experience felt better than at Ayana Bali. The unbeatable ocean view was stunning, and the hotel lobby on the hilltop offered expansive views. Both the bar and dining options were good. I found the breakfast to be just average, but at least the service was warm. My main disappointment was that all the activities I was interested in were fully booked, so I didn't get a chance to enjoy Ayana's rich offerings. Considering that, the value for money wasn't great.

Unfortunately, the pool was under renovation during my stay, but the hotel did inform me via email beforehand. The location isn't on the main street, but it's only about a 7-minute walk to the pier, which is acceptable. I booked an island hopping day tour through the hotel, but the price was higher than what you'd find elsewhere.

Environment: The Komodo 'ceiling' (meaning top-tier/best you can get), no need to compare; it's outstanding even in the off-season.

Although the food was mostly 'white people food' (Western cuisine), the quality was very good, and the flavors (both salty and mild) could still satisfy a Chinese palate.

The room, I took Mountain View with private pool is simply amazing. All forniture are new and the room is wide and in a great position.

The rooms and the entire property were very clean and well-maintained — everything looked neat and pleasant. The water in the shower was always running well, and there was consistently hot water, which is especially appreciated after a long day.
A special thanks to the staff: kind, smiling, and always ready to help — you can really feel that they care. We were especially impressed that they prepared breakfast earlier than usual for us because of our early tours — a small gesture, but it says a lot about their attention to guests.
At night, it was quiet and peaceful, nothing disturbed our sleep, and the room had a cozy atmosphere. The grounds are beautiful and green, clearly well looked after. We were very satisfied with our stay and would gladly recommend this hotel to our friends. Truly well done!

アアイビI used it as the night before to get on the boat. 1 〜 2 minutes walk from the port, there are many restaurants nearby, very good location.
The staff at the front desk always smile and respond comfortably. This is the second time I used it, but the staff at the front desk who responded before remembered me and spoke to me. The rooftop restaurant had a good view and was able to spend time slowly after check-in.
The room is not large, but it is clean and comfortable enough to sleep. It was a little disappointing that the amenities toothbrush was out of stock and not replenished, but it is acceptable considering the price.
I want to travel when I go to Love Ambajo again.
