Hotels near Goodwill Bridge in South Brisbane

Every year when I visit my relatives, I usually stay here. This time I booked a one-bedroom suite, which was quite spacious. Luckily, it wasn't a corner room near the pool and BBQ area. I always choose this hotel because it's super convenient for getting around, dining, and shopping. The facilities are complete, it's clean and hygienic, and the service is good too. The light bulb in the living room wasn't working, and after reporting it to the front desk, someone came to replace it right away. The only issue was the dishwasher kept showing an error code. I reported it on the 3rd day of my stay, but no one came to fix it by the 13th day when I checked out. However, overall, I'm still quite satisfied and will choose to stay here again next time.

Fantastic location- I paid a low price so was accommodated in a low level corner room (expected) however still would recommend as the room was clean and quite large and suited my travel for work.

Pros: • The View & Room: I booked a river view room, and it was true to the photos, so stunning. The room was spacious and even included a washer and dryer. • Location: Very convenient. It’s just a short walk from South Brisbane station. Cons: • Cleanliness: I still found some dust on the shelves and had to wipe them down before using them. • Amenities: They provided a 2-in-1 bottle for both body wash and hand wash. It was quite inconvenient having to carry the bottle to the sink back and forth just to wash my hands. Most serviced apartments provide separate bottles for the bathroom and the sink. • Check-out Rules: The check-out instructions are quite strict. You have to take out all the trash, turn off all appliances, and load all used kitchenware into the dishwasher and press start before you leave.

The location is great - next to famous food street the fish lane and also Westend where there are 2 supermarkets and lots of eateries. Unfortunately the downstairs reception and common area is quite messy with maintenance issues and we didn't have hot water for one night.

Check-in was very difficult- we arrived after 5pm, so we were a ”late” check-in. Unfortunately, the kiosk didn't work. The screen froze after we scanned our QR code, and we were left standing there waiting for 10 min, until we called the Customer assistance line. It took a while for the agent to understand that the screen froze, not that we didn't know what to do. They called for the caretaker to come assist, who was very helpful and nice, but it still took a while for them to arrive. All-in-all, check-in took over 45 minutes when we were already exhausted from traveling. The room was very nice though.

The apartment was spacious and everything worked great. The location was fantastic - easily walkable to everything we needed so there was no need to move the car. The beds were comfortable, showers hot with good pressure, and it was awesome to have access to a washer dryer, given we were mid-trip. Staff were prepared for our visit and check-in was a breeze. Our only feedback to them was about a couple stains on the upholstery, but they were quick to thank us for the info so they could get it cleaned. We would definitely stay here again.

It was a bit painful from the get go checking in. You have to go to a different hotel a block over. There is nowhere to park to check in. I called the number to be put through to a call centre that isn’t on site. Call 1: yes you can park in the visitor parking just buzz and they’ll let you in. Call 2: while blocking the driveway I’m unable to find a buzzer that reaches reception. Operator sounds confused, I hang up and someone is coming out so I sneak in. Call 3: I’m parked in visitor parks, go up the lift and come out at another building. She again sounds confused. If I go out the door I won’t be able to get back in without a fob, so I’m asking which way I should go. There are no signs to tell me how to get to Ivy and Eve apartments. I eventually find a worker who takes me around to reception. Sorted. Or so I think. I check in with reception. The girl was really lovely and informative. So I think, until I reach the carpark of the next building I’m staying at. The sheet of paper she gave me says “your allocated car space is 131 and is located on 55. I drive in looking for level 55, car space 131. Neither of these exist. Call 4: Where is my carpark? Am I missing something. Keep in mind every time I call I’m asked to give all my details so they can verify my booking so by now I’m pretty tired of it all. She finds my booking and says oh yes you’re in park 55 on level B1. (See photo for why I was confused!) I drive around the carpark looking for a 55. It doesn’t exist. All carparks are labelled with a sign saying Art house and 4 numbers. Ok maybe it’s the last 2? Nope doesn’t exist. After driving around for a bit I realise there are numbers on the ground of the carpark that are completely different to the signs (I didn’t look at the ground because the signs said art house) So finally I work out that this is my park. Another confused guest stops to ask me where his park might be and I explain it’s the floor ones not the art house signs. So I wasn’t the only one. Ok so park the car, go upstairs to room 1106 which of course is on floor 10. Makes sense lol. As soon as I open the door I’m hit with a wet musty kind of smell. Like the place had been flooded and not allowed to dry out properly maybe? I opened all the windows and when that didn’t work I went and bought some air freshener to hide the smell a bit. We left all the doors open all night and next day and the smell improved. The lounge chairs are not comfy if you’re looking for a stay in watch Netflix type staycay, but the beds are really comfy. The place was pretty immaculately clean so that was nice. And washer dryer were great to have. If I had have known I’d need to go through all that checkin at another building I would not have booked. Maybe I missed the part that mentioned this? Ahh well we enjoyed our stay in general, it just didn’t get off to a good start.

It costs more than 500 yuan a night. It is equipped with air conditioning, a hot water kettle, two beds, one large and one small. Parking is free. Breakfast is 20 Australian dollars per person. It is quite satisfactory. The only exception is that there is no washing machine or dryer. The hotel is not cleaned every day during your stay. , but shampoo, shower gel, etc. can be provided

Romantic weekend spoiled by the toilet broken, called for help 8pm Friday night,  to be told we had to wait till the next day to be fixed. I said this was not good enough, no offer of changing rooms. The system would not fill up and were told to lift a section in the back every time we needed to flush.  Checked in at reception to what time the plumber would be here, to be told they don’t come out on weekends! They would send a staff member up to have a look in 10 mins. Waited 30min and called reception again. We needed to use the bathroom! Staff came for all of 4 min and left saying all fixed. When we went to flush and check,  it was still broken, no refill, called them back, 2 min fix this time, told it takes time to fill, and it only fill 1/2 way. Gave up, we needed to go out. We had plans! we put up with a broken toilet that when used,  had to take the lid off, lift something that allowed water in to flush. Number 2’s you had to do it twice. . Not good enough for the price
